Those are some impressive graphics for Atari 2600. Panama Joe is one of the most detailed character sprites I've seen and that death animation when he falls from too great a height is really something.
Whoa this is damn good by 2600 standards, first time seeing this one and yeah it was way the hell ahead of its time, you just didn't see many games with this level of exploration back then, its very impressive.
Very true, most games then were about linear, point-scoring through skill repetition. Making games adventures with random elements is what makes them fun.
Yep you sure did. Every time I came over to your house you’d be up in the bath tub (with the shower running) playing this game, cursing and yelling every time you died.
Montezuma's Revenge seems like an interesting Atari game to go try out! It's a system I've had a hard time trying to get into, and this game seems like one of the few that interest me
