@@MidWalesMineExplorers someone start welding job long time ago, took out interior / windows and never finished . Need all floor panels, A pilars, corners windshield. Standard Capri bad places. Building a race car on it, bought a lot of missing parts and hope will back to the roads in next 10 years 😂
It's a bit of a mix, Calypso interior, Cabaret side stripes and yet LS on the log book and on the boot, I'm not sure if whoever bought it new ordered it with a bit of everything or what, they are cool aren't they, I'm looking after my nans old 1600 Laser as well
@@MidWalesMineExplorers The old Pinto engine is bulletproof. The Cologne V6 was a bit flakey at the top end because the fuel injection cut out under load. I loved driving them and loved working on them. I have a 77 Trans Am over on my channel.
@@thatguyfromcetialphaV I want to find a 2 litre to go in it, the 1600s cruise fine but are a bit underpowered on hills of which we have many in Wales 😆, this one was still seized the last time I tried to turn it over, I'll take a look at the Trans Am, my dad had (I think a '78) Camaro when I was a kid
@@MidWalesMineExplorers There's not that much difference between the 1600 and 2.0, just a few changes to the bore and stroke. Nothing a bigger carb wouldn't correct.
yes, good quality work there James, looking foward to the next installment.
You're doing a great job there! Saving another capri 💪
Hope the cabaret stripes go back on, they look very cool!
Subbed 👍
Cheers, yeah I'd like to keep the stripes, don't see them often
Awsome more!! 😊
Awesome dude, brings back memories of when I was a kid and used to get a ride in my uncle’s Capri 👊

@@Irishmanexplores cheers mate 🤙

Good luck Mate! 3 months ago I found Mk1a on scrapyard. Was 20 years in barn, one year on scrapyard and now is in my garage ❤😊

Looks like a 1.6 Calypso? I had 2, a 2.8 1982 X Reg and a Brookie. Loved them :)

YVT... that's a Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire reg. My GT4 is NVT and came from chatfield ford in Hanley.
*Resurrection
A res-erection sounds kind of exciting though.
Haha never even noticed 🤪😂
Now that is a proper Capri, not like the new abomination Ford have come up with!
I know, what's that all about? The name would have been better left in the history books than given to that thing...
🥵🥵👀👀
😘😂
Please wear some kind of filter mask, you are breathing all kinds of crap there
