I think Steve Perry is smart and chooses to retain his classy elegant status and let people remember him when he was at the very top of the world. The recordings speak for themselves and no one can dispute he surpassed everyone. I don't care what people say about the guy from Queensryche or even Robert Plant or anyone else. I've had formal vocal training and I can tell you that Steve Perry's execution and Technical skill and range were better than anybody else that was at least well known. I guess it's possible there might have been some obscure person somewhere on the planet that no one has heard of but as far as having been recorded and the public being aware of them Steve Perry truly is THE Voice.

It was a teen when these bands were so popular and I am amazed at how many are still touring and especially glad they are still with us. I have some really great memories and still listen to the music from the 70’s and 80’s. It would be great to see them reunite for their 50th anniversary!

It would be cool, but it most likely won't happen. Rolle toured with Neal on the Journey through time tour. Deen sang all Perry's parts and that was incredible. That was more Journey than the current line up. To see Perry and Deen duet would be awesome.
I truly hope Perry joins the 50th anniversary. His diehard fans are becoming deranged over Ariel's successful stint to revive Journey. Perry owes this to his fans who stuck with him for 30+ years, hounded all those who replaced him, Augeri, Soto and it's Pineda's turn now.

If not with Arnel, Journey is a history and their masterpieces belong to the old songs and may be forgotten and unknown to new fans. The New Journey opened the Paso Robles Mid-State fair yesterday, 7/20/22. I would have loved to see "Journey", but I really don't care to see the new singer who imitates Steve Perry. I watched an interview a year ago on T.V. and Steve Perry stated why he left music. I enjoyed the Bands music when they were Journey. They gave America songs that everyone from our era will remember long after the dust settles on the ground.
Steve will never, never, NEVER sing with Journey again. And I truly believe his singing live and touring days are over, even though he misses it. We'll be very lucky if he even produces another album. I'm not holding my breath on it, though I will keep my fingers crossed!🤞

Perry ..and Schon could do something NOT Journey related..... or do some kind of acoustic set of certain Journey songs that would lend to his "senior" voice. ..this could include songs that the key could be dropped a tone or two.... and really thats it..... there is nothing else that would work.
