Hello, Cliff and Diane❣️. It’s been a while since I’ve been around but you have a lovely harvest there. Everything looks delightful especially the raspberries. Take care you both. 🌸🌿🦋
Great video as always Cliff. I always learn so much from you. Your raspberries look amazing. Mine aren't fruiting yet- very late this year for me. My onions have done exceptionally well this year- my carrots and parsnips have not. Win some, lose some is how it goes in gardening and nature. Happy gardening 🙂
So nice of you Be, you are right. Although I wish I did get more onions. First time my onions have failed me, never mind try again next year regards Cliff.
Hello Cliff and Diane, lovely to see your produce, those peppers are amazing. I managed to get hold of an allotment after a 4 year wait, and it has two greenhouse in situ, so I will be binge watching all your videos again to prepare myself for next years growing.
Thank you Diane & Cliff. I enjoyed all your harvesting....very nice indeed. I note you said you will stake and feed your brussels next month. I will follow suit with mine too ...good advice.
Cliff, you have such a beautiful harvest of produce. Your plants are so healthy and crisp. I unfortunately had bad luck with my peppers, radishes and onions. I planted them in grow bags this year. However my chives are in abundance. I do not use any pesticides or chemical fertilizer, so they were a smorgasbord for insects it appears. t least they kept the bugs out of the main garden :) Other than that, everything else grew very well. I have so much squash and pumpkins which is a joy. Love your videos. I have learned so much about gardening from you. Thank you for sharing such great information. All The Best!
You are welcome Vanessa. Some seasons we get lots of pests, others not so many. Nice to grow organic, well done with squash and pumpkins regards Cliff.
Oh, you were picking nice stuff in this video! I love harvest season, but it’s very busy. I thought the onions didn’t look too bad! I hope the farms didn’t send you any yucky herbicides with the rain!
So nice of you Klaus, I was disappointed with the onions, try again at the top end of the garden. As regards the soil at the bottom of the garden, we will have to wait and see. Thanks for watching regards Cliff.
Thank you for another brilliant video. I grow onions over winter and over the Summer from seed. This year, the Winter onions were fantastic, but the Summer ones were disappointing like yours unfortunately
Hi Cliff and lovely Diane seeing your peppers they same as ours this year thought it was something I'd done Still taste good not so many seeds inside, Our blackberry is only just starting to pick Hope you can get your ground sorted
Thanks Bill & Val, I have been told It was something to do with the day lengths, once the days started to get longer the weather changed and made the days shorter. Then got longer this affected the growth cycle, crazy weather. Like you say they taste good and very usable. Our blackberries are about finished, very early this year. We need to have a serious think about next years crops. Take care regards from us both.
Never work with children or animals.....unless you want to have a laugh!! Some ups and downs this year, but you still have an abundance. 🥒🌶🍅🥚 Looking forward to your next video...whenever you feel like making it, no rush.
Hi cliff how do you work out how cost effective it is for you to grow your fruit and veg instead of buying it in a supermarket. It is inspiring to watch you grow such beautiful food. ❤
Great suggestion Darragh, the fruit and vegetables in the supermarket have been treated with herbicides and pesticides, the organic fruit and vegetables are so expensive. Nothing tastes better than homegrown regards Cliff.
Cliff, I was wondering something? Does Dianne ever pressure can the excess Veg you grow? I am envious of your garden. You will always have your health because of your diet. I wish I had my health, so I could garden again. I had to give it up because I fall, a lot.
Hi tiportangles sorry to hear you cant garden anymore. Diane freezes most surplus vegetables and fruit, she does pickle beetroot in bottles and makes jam and red currant jelly with the fruit available. Thanks for watching regards Cliff.
Really impressed with your outdoor tomatoes, they looked amazing. Would your soil for the onions benefit from adding more compost to the surface later, although with the rain and flooding maybe that would be washed away too?
Hey Cliff & Diane, I'm curious about the cake. Cliffs favorite one. Could you link a recipe? Cause I never heard of it. 🙏 Thx 🙏 Ps: Amazing how you keep ahead of your garden!
Hi DM-gl6it Diane said there is lots of recipes on TH-cam for zucchini and pineapple cake, It you don't find one she said she would type hers out for you regards Cliff.
Its been the other way round for me. I've had more red onions. Last 3 yrs I've been growing a duel onion called leila . They make real tasty spring onions but left to grow on store really well too. This Yr I had 2 go to seed, but they where the first in 3 yrs
Shame about your onions it's been a bad year for growing so much rain and cold weather. I should say the ground has had all the goodness washed out of it. It's still some nice peppers peppers and some nice tomatoes 🍅 take care
Thanks for another very informative video. We have early raspberries which did reasonably well. But we have autumn ones also, I think this is their third year and they have never fruited. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to get them to fruit We are up in Inverness and it’s been an awful year for lots of our crops sadly Many thanks
Hi Irene, In the autumn cut the autumn fruiting raspberries down to ground level. Let them the fresh growth grow through the summer, hopefully they should give you a autumn crop regards Cliff.
Hi cliff good season for you buddy I've been bothered with fungus mate and thrips any advice to get rid of the little shits please I've had it with them😢

Thanks Earandthere, you are right the rain and flooding washed everything out the soil, we have It tested in the Autumn regards Cliff.
Maybe sowing a green manure would help or maybe make a pond😂 We live on a coastal hill so a whole other set of problems but not flooding.
Hey Cliff & Diane, I'm curious about the cake. Cliffs favorite one. Could you link a recipe? Cause I never heard of it. 🙏 Thx 🙏

Amazing how you keep ahead of your garden!

Hi Cliff…. That’s a lot of good looking celery you have there… how do you use it all up?
Hi Brian, we do share with family and friends, we do use on summer salads. Any surplus we freeze and use in winter dishes regards Cliff.
Morning great video,do you give the raspberry much water,as those are big raspberry, thank
Hi David, I dont water the raspberries until the fruit is forming. Then I give them a good watering once a week till harvest regards Cliff.
Hi cliff good season for you buddy I've been bothered with fungus mate and thrips any advice to get rid of the little shits please I've had it with them😢
Hi Tracey, I find Pyrethrum organic insecticide works very well, a quick spray on the soil around the plant also helps regards Cliff.
