Truthfully, I wish I had a list right now but Yasharn has always felt much better in the 99 since he isn’t a natural engine. Stax is in a rough state in my meta. I might try brewing some blink / landfall variant to keep getting lands.
Way to make a poem about Yasharn. I was just commenting on another video about playing fetches is often a waste of money in decks. Trying to be greedy and include all of the ones you can will get you hosed by stuff like Yasharn.

Oh he fetches a forest AND a plains? That's better than I remember. He shuts off spells AND abilities? Not even non-mana abilities, just all of them. He stops people from paying life AND sacrificing for value? He just shuts off 90% of engines then. On a 4-drop in a great color pair? I guess I have a new Kingmaker deck to build.
The effect is split up into two: 1. Can't pay life 2. Can't sacrifice nonland permanents You CAN sac lands, but you CAN'T pay life. Fetchlands require 1 life to sacrifice, so they get turned off. You CAN sacrifice Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse, but NOT Arid Mesa or Flooded Strand.

@@adrianmartinez-lq5he Purphoros was one of my originals! I’ve since swapped mono-Red to Slicer or Ojer Axonil but I still have Purphoros put together. I’ve been toying around with the idea of running 3-color Norin with Rocco so I can use Guardian Project and Welcoming Vampire, Saltskitter, etc.
As a primarily mono black player, I despise this card with all my being and wish it didn't even exist. There are so many other more fair and balanced ways to counter us man, half my removal doesn't even work on it.

Yesharn is a standout in the 99 of my 4/4-for-4cmc-tribal Thalia and the Gitrog Monster deck. 4cmc has some great stax pieces.

You can force Yasharn players to sacrifice it using an edict because the sacrifice isn’t being paid as a cost.
