I would suggest that you get rid of the pins and put a nut on the outside of the turnbuckle. Loosen the nut when you need to adjust the stabilizers, then tighten the nut agains the turnbuckle as a jam nut. This would be much more secure, provide more adjustment range on the turnbuckle. It would also eliminate the possibility of bending the pin, making its removal difficult.
Good suggestion. The industry standard is for the pins, they allow tool less adjustment of the stabilizers, which is especially important in cases where the links are inside the arms as you cannot swing the arms out in this configuration to make an implement connection.
