Creating a network/community on Instagram is the most important thing in my opinion but I guess I just found it very difficult to "properly" connect with people on it. I find that TH-cam is a lot better in the sense that you're really able to understand someone's personality better!

I struggle with that as well because having Instagram put absolute dog shit on our screens and convincing us it’s a “good” video due to the numbers really gets me down on my own stuff. If you’re going to be in the social media game for the long haul, you can’t attach your self esteem, confidence etc to your engagement numbers. This is a slippery slope and won’t lead to good things. Focus on your mindset first and the rest will follow . Create to create don’t create for JUST the numbers :)

I’ve posted every day for 2 months on ig reels, TH-cam shorts, tik tok. I’ve noticed too, it seems like it doesn’t matter what I post much. The algo flips a coin, or one week it is in a good mood, and the next, it hates me… ig has been paying me monthly for reels, which is amazing tbh. Even if it isn’t that much. But I’ve since been throttled and results have been lower this month. It’s like I’m punished for doing everything “right”. Also, there is no point in me gaining new followers specific to Ig, because ig refuses to show my content to more than 1% of my followers. So even though I’m being paid, there is no growth opportunity for me there. Unlike TH-cam and tik tok. Lastly, the data/analytics is never clear enough to learn from and adjust the content accordingly. So I’m essentially blindfolded in a dark cave. Instead of seeing, in a dark cave. It’s great. Yep.

Consistency consistency just keep up with it buddy. On a side note i cant stand posting shorts to youtube and them copyright striking my content when the music was fine on every other short video platform. Then im forced to use some garbage from the youtube sounds.

story of everything i've done music wise. the one i hate no brainer 10 minutes made 10x more engagement than the one genuinely like and spend tons of hours with. I do believe there's a need to separate your "self-expression' and what the system wants, adjust to the latter and then slowly introduce that personal way of making things. at the end it feels like you're straying away of your purpose of sharing your art to the world but then you need to be reminded that if you want to make money first follow the market needs that's just my opinion throughout all these years, ive struggled with consistency because i felt the mindset first needs to be proper. this video is gold.

Great video! i like your realistic approach to this topic. One main thing i find myself struggling with is finding the time to shoot content and to sit down and edit everything. I keep thinking its just my mindset of shooting the content on my camera, transferring it to the pc to edit, go through the whole editing process, then transfer it to the phone to then find the right hashtags to post wherever. it seems like an exhausting task for videos that are only seconds long and yet we're expected to stay consistent to reach an optimal audience. Any advice on how to stay motivated and find ideas for posting multiple short form videos?
How you doin brother. Yes bro it honestly is an exhausting process - but nothing worth having comes easy. My advice for staying motivated would be to actually just focus on being disciplined because motivation doesn't hang around forever. So basically, no matter how you feel, you just do it anyway! And the best way to find ideas is to come up with a content plan. It took me days to come up with a plan but once I had the plan I was able to make content so much easier. You literally just follow the plan you've made. And I say that like it's an easy task. Haha. It isn't easy and it always takes longer than you think it will. But as I said, nothing worth having comes easy. Good luck king

Yeah it's just typical man! That's why it's so important to not let the numbers ruin your mentality. I've learned that numbers are seriously not important. The most important thing is building strong and meaningful relationships with people and building a community. I'll definitely consider posting shorts on here soon but I'll wait for the update where they segregate long form and short form content as I really hate the idea of shorts messing up my feed 👊🙏

Hello brother! Sorry for the slight delay with my response! But networking basically means you spend time to communicate with other people on the platform. So for example, that could mean you send dm's; you reply to people stories; you engage with their posts etc etc. Growing on social platforms is not solely about posting content. You have to connect and engage with other people for the algorithms to notice you and promote your posts. This takes time and it isn't the same for everybody. Some people might do it in 2 months, others might take 2 years. Hope this helps king!

@@myroncaptures Day 58 but i have not uploaded a reel today yet. Results last 30 days is 11k account has been reached (normal months is around 2-3k). No viral video at all, pretty normal views for my reels 200-1000. All my photos in my reels of "Day x exposing my photography" series is now coming to an end. Now i need to be more creative with my photos that i already showed.
I do have some videos from past summer i can use so i hope i have enough content saved from last summer to use to this years summer. Why do i wait for summer, well car community is sleeping big time during winter in Sweden and its always dark after work..

also I think we have to think about...am I doing this for views or followers or actual sales. Because likes, views are vanity matrics..unless they are putting money in your bank, to me the content isn't useful. So in this case, if the content isn't getting me followers then the view number don't matter. I got $1k client from a post that didn't have 1 single like. So, I think we need to focus on the right matirc or result and not fixate on vanity numbers.

Hey brother, tbh it varied everyday. But on average I tried to post at approx 5pm (UK Time) because this was just before the majority of my followers were online. If you turn on your analytics you'll be able to find out the peak times that your followers are online 👊

Nothing. I did it for 3 months. Since my accounts reach got limited to 1/10th of normal back in April/May. MY reach is bad both on reels and photos. Ig just reach capped my account. I have 2 other accounts and there reels do great. On my business account, close to 0

I used to have 3-10k posts all the time now 200. This is just wrong. It is my business and they completely ruined me, I spent 4 years building this account and fanbase..

I hit 60,000 views out of the blue and like 20,000 likes it was like Christmas im a Digital content creator for Facebook now. Instagrams not paying I think Facebook took notice to all my reel shares and views and gave me a chance im going strong its alot of work

also repurpose old content. 4 month of content, if you decide to just create one new content per week and just recyle the old content maybe with little caption change, no one will notice I promise. I actually post the first 6 months of the year, daily with new content then rest of the year, recycle that. because I found that 1. instagram don't notice it and 2. end of the year is bit hecitc for me, so I don't do content creation at the end of the year.
