Fun fact - Schleswig-Holstein fired what's considered the first shot shots of WWII when she opened fire on the Westerplatte garrison in Danzig (now known as Gdansk).
Who disliked this?? The craziest thing is that people dislike videos even though they often can't do what was done in the video any better. Great model, i loved it 🤩
Your rust and weathering technique is top-notch, as is your steady hand with the radio antennae, rigging and each individual rigging tensioner! The end result could be used in a movie with some greenscreen CGI!
Beautiful model. This ship visited Ireland in 1938 or 39. She anchored off Dun Laoghaire and my father, who worked for Kodak in Dublin, was able to go on board her and take some photos. They are somewhere in my parents' house.
Update to my comment of a year ago. The photos have just turned up. But in addition I found 2 small sailor dolls. One of them has the name of the ship on his cap band.
I've been wanting to break from aircraft and tackle some war ships, your inspiring build has been the catalyst I've needed. I'll finish my R100 airship, and move to a nautical build. Thanks.
As someone currently building my first ship in nearly a decade, I applaud your skills, this is a nice clean build. New Subscriber. Hope to see more ships in the future.
Amazing work! Personally, I like the lack of music because sometimes it feels like the background music in other videos distracts from watching the building process; the silence focuses the viewer on the build of the model. Just my thoughts.
From a certain angle, I can almost see the ship sailing into the port of Gdansk and starting the Second World War with a shot at the Westerplatte garrison from one of its 11-inch guns.

Congratulations, a master piece! Cheers from Brazil.

WOW!
Beautiful workmanship and enjoyable without music
Wow, attention to detail and the workmanship is absolutely stunning! 👽
Absolutely beautiful build! I've grabbed mine out of the stash to start it now I've seen yours. I look forward to seeing your future work.
Love that effect you created on the funnels. Gonna steal that for my next project :)
Love it ,its amazeing!!! Keep up the good work!!
Looks great - especially the rigging. Thanks for showing how you did it.
Absolutely beautiful. Now I will have to finish mine. Thank you for posting this.
Great build...you make it look easy.

I do think it isn't meant to be silent, because every now and then there is a fraction of second of sound
Very nice!🤗
Nice build !!
Amazing work, thx for sharing. I would give it a try, but im scared about the rigging
Tastefully done!
There is a photograph of this ship firing into Poland. The start of WWII in Europe.
There is a video also.
Great build, Incredible talent,
Could I please ask a question? What glue do you use to glue pained parts, PE together?
A cheap super glue ;)
@@Drydockinscale lthank you very much
Sound is of. Amazing build anyway!

👍✌
Looks good but on thing it need the imperial Greman flag of WW1 not WW2 krigesmarine
It was a simple build. Such a flag was in the kit ;)
That model its from ww2, the trunked funnels ley it know, this battleship is the one that shoted to the Westerplatte fortress, starting them the ww2
There's always one 😡. 👽
It says "1935", that is DKM, not SMS anymore at that time.
