มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this episode we will start building a 1/350 Trumpeter RN ZARA warship. We will make the hull of the ship, add photo-etched railings and paint it in basic colors, which will be slightly more than the standard ship. Specifically, the deck itself will be a total with 4 different colors. Insane! Doesn't seem like much work? See it yourself. I invite you to watch and wait for the next part. Enjoy...

1/350 SCHLESWIG HOLSTEIN (1935) [Trumpeter] - FULL BUILD
if you have ever been on a ship you will see the decks are not brown, they weather down to a grey colour.
Pleasure to watch. Now im back to work on my scratch built 1/100 scale Prinze Eugen . All paper and every single compartment.
What the tool u use to put down the glue??
It’s regular hobby knife without blade bit with thin copper wire.
@@Drydockinscale Thx i just watched now the Zara and now im starting watching the bismark… ure superb im starting now to do modeling... my dream is to have the 1/350 Roma... many times I get scared and tell myself that I won't be able to do it, but I want to do it anyway... do you have any good advice for those who are starting now (my intention and mostly tank, but Roma is something I would like to do as I am so attached to it because I am Italian)
Superbo
I have a question about this I want to get this model but I want to know how much weight I need till it gets to its water line if you know please tell me because I want to try to make this be a ship that can go in real water.
You're a fine craftsman when it comes to building models, but I'm unsubscribing because for every video I've seen, I've had to crank up the audio to BARELY hear you and then had to endure the blast of sound from the regular world when those videos end. Don't you listen to your own stuff?
witch colours did you use for the deck?
Nice, one of my favorite kits. Built mine 3 years ago.
Why didn't you include the rails on the chimney in your 3D print? It came out gorgeously, by the way.
Excelent work
I am surprised at the less than 'Average' fit from Trumpeter. But thehull detailing youproduced is excellent. I will look forward to the next video. I wonder is it possible Trumpeter bought old moulds from some other company. I am just close to finishing a 1/350 scale Tamiya Tirpitz. An upgraded moulding it said, but with 1978 on most of the major mouldings and sprues. I ordered a full Photo etch kit and timber deck; otherwise it would have been an old plastic model. The Dazzle camo took a lot of time; espically with a coat of matt clear coat between each colour. For the port holes and windows I used a sharp pencil to blacken the glass area . It gives a slight reflection like glass would and it gets sealed with the final matt clear coat. Its good you can make your own 3D parts in resin, so much more accurate.
What are round transparent plastic profiles, and where do you get them?
I built her sister ship, the New York a few years ago. A really fun kit that has a heck of a lot less small guns to deal with
Very cool work!!! Great respect to the author. I wish you creative success in your favorite hobby.
Would you consider producing the printed funnel for selling I would be interested in purchasing one if possible as it really adds to the look of the ship. Enjoying the build by the way the weathering looks fantastic
It’s available on my Patreon. You can get subscription and have access to all my 3D files ;)
Love seeing some Italian ships!
That is a great work. Could you provide a list of products that you used for weathering?
Would love to know how you made the 3d print files for the new parts. Absolutely quality work
I made it in free online software Sketchup. All files will be available on my Patreon.
Well done, looking forward to Part 2. I am currently following your Zara build as I build the sister ship Fiume. Keep up the great work.
well this vid's getting demonetised. nice work tho!
YESS LETS GO
Beautiful work, well done, looking forward to seeing your next video.
Absolutely beautiful work Sir
beautiful!!! will you replace the moulded ladders with wire??
Great work! I build Admiral Hipper recently. The wathering of the hull is amazing. Looking forward for the rest.
I believe reversing the symbol like you did actually means good luck and peace in a number of Eastern faiths. By the way, love what you did weathering the hull
I keep coming back to this video as it is simply enjoyable to watch (and each time I realize I need to go over the techniques)...Thanks again.
Bravo! 👏👏👏
Impressed 👍
Excellent clean build: the Hull was Red on Zara, but let's call it Fiume and we are fine! 😉
Looks amazing. When you put the dots of oil paint on the hull, I couldn't hear what you said you used on the brush to streak it down. Can you please elaborate?
What size of the masking tape did you use to create waterline?
Excellent weathering skills. I dont understand why the enamal thinner doesnt interact with the underlying paint, when you are smearing the little dots of paint for weathering on the hull.
Beautiful build, well done! You've inspired me. Thank you
I grew up near the USS Texas. I've always thought it a most beautiful ship. The only remaining survivor of two world wars. Back in junior high band, we played ceremonies on the deck of the ship for Texas Independence Day.
Thank You
Another great video...educational, informative and entertaining...loaded with helpful techniques...Thanks for sharing it with us.
A Master's class on how to paint the Bismarck.
Ausgerzeichnet !
A masterful build, Thank You for sharing this. I subscribed so I can follow your work and maybe ask a few questions, but for now I just want to take it all in.
Please, can you say where you bought the plastic for the helmet windows? Thank you very much. Minute 2:50
It looks like a ghost ship. It needs some figures.
Your ability is amazing. Are your building skills available for hire?
Excellent work. I was hoping to see the IMAM Ro.43 plane also!
Outstanding. Looking forward to the next parts.
I've been wanting to break from aircraft and tackle some war ships, your inspiring build has been the catalyst I've needed. I'll finish my R100 airship, and move to a nautical build. Thanks.
Absolutely beautiful. Now I will have to finish mine. Thank you for posting this.
Hi there, This is high quality scale model work. What kind of drilling burs are you using? I’m building the Tirpitz right now and it’s very difficult painting the camo pattern over the hull and different decks in a straight line, driving me crazy…
Doesn't look right without the swastikas. Just sayin'
I built this kit in 2020/2021. I detailed her as she appeared during the Invasion of France in Measure 22--Navy Blue on the lower hull below the first continuous deck, with Haze Gray above and all decks painted Deck Blue. I also added 3D printed 20mm and 40mm guns. Eduard provides some nice photo-etch to enhance the kit. I really liked how you weathered your model. I saw some techniques that I can't wait to try. Thanks for the nice video.
