Electric Power Steering FAIL, Watch this First!!! 2011 Chevy Cruze

Welcome back to Andersons's Garage today we have a problem with a difficult and expensive solution on this 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, the electric power steering motor has failed. We were having trouble finding information on the programming of the replacement power steering module. Before you replace yours yourself you'll need to know about these issues.

The motor does come off just to align it to put back in is with patience. You Don't have to replace all. Waist of money if thats all.

Incorrect. This one would NOT come off. Also the gears wear as a set replacing just the motor might last for a brief period but not a long term quality fix.

Gm has an extended warranty on some of these electric power steering systems. I bought an 08 HHR with a failed electric power steering, found that gm was replacing them for free if under 150,000 miles.

My daughter is at 145,000 miles and having the same issue. Hopefully this is true and they replaced it. Thanks.

We have a 2014 cruze that the steering will wanders and jerks..... is hard to get back sometimes... afraid of going to hit someone some day because it wanders and can't get it back in time.... is that the pump?

It could be. Hard to say without actually looking at the vehicle.

It was free to steer but it's hard to steer when i hit in pothole

You can use one from another car, you just need to program it

Be humble enough if you are unaware a solution works or not. You could have simply said you are not sure whether thst works or not. I sell used parts and have sold several which we programme for the buyers and it works. ​@andersonsgarage2334
