I have listened to this song and never noticed that my old buddy, Adam Gates was the nachos guy in the video😮 He is the guy who was responsible for taking me backstage at a show and for us smoking out with Les and the guys back in the 90's. Adam was a respected Bay Area musician in his own right, and in a string of bands including the Spent Poets which did pretty well.
Les Claypool is a bass GOD!!! He is a performer, sings, dances around on 1 foot, and plays bass like it is an extension of his own body. Simply amazing.

One is the live DVD 'Hallucino Genetics'... filmed in 2004 and Primus performed their entire 1st studio album 'Frizzle Fry' in concert. Another is Primus' Woodstock '94 set. Their 'Videoplasty' live set was filmed in 1997 w/ Brian 'Brain' Mantia (drums) who replaced drummer Tim 'Herb' Alexander until 2000. Primus have announced a 2025 tour w/ Tool's Maynard James Keenan's other projects - Puscifer and A Perfect Circle... April 24 running through June 7
Seeing people getting excited about Primus makes me happy, and takes me every time back to the time I saw them 4the first time as they toured our country and there was this buzz around this incredible band. Finally a band that really was my kind of music; weird, absurd, surreal, humorous, skilled and funky as hell. Still a fan after 35 years. Man, do they suck or what?!
Nothing will ever beat the crowds at concerts in the 90's. I got to see Primus in '92 touring this album with Fishbone. When Les hit the first note on the base at the top of the show, the crowd went absolutely ape. I'll never forget that show.
Got to see Primus at The Aquatic Park in Berkeley before they were famous. Now that you're onto *Primus,* it would probably be best (if you haven't yet) to do *Buckethead* for the deep dive. They've worked together, too. Both live and in the studio. The incredible talent and wackiness continues..

I had the good fortune of meeting Tim Alexander at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. He donated a drum set and helped set up an exhibit reflecting the experience of a rock drummer at a festival. Really cool guy!

One thing I've always found unique about Primus is while other bands/musicians sing about either themselves in an ego format or an emotional connection for the listener: Primus sings about characters. Most of their songs are in some form or another a story about a character they have either made or dug up a story from.

One thing I've always found unique about Primus is while other bands/musicians sing about either themselves in an ego format or an emotional connection for the listener: Primus sings about characters. Most of their songs are in some form or another a story about a character they have either made or dug up a story from.
