yeah goodtimes, easy times. At my dad's he had the ps2 and i'd always play even tho i could never do the tricks just liked to ride, spray paint, explore and f ppl with the skateboard. He progressedd through the game to open the map for me. My dad's lost it over the years not the same man i knew but these memories do carry everything
In that spot you were at in Downtown LA, you can jump across the highway to that little platform, and with some careful dodging of the boundaries you can get down to the highway road and get through the tunnel until it ends! Felt so cool finding that as a kid
I love the Hollywood section of the map, especially the movie theater rooftop, it makes for super cool bank drops. I even managed to clear a huge personal gap by jumping from that rooftop all the way over the street and bank-dropping into the downtown subway.
I was one of the top players of this game online PS2. There are so many glitches I think I am the only person that remembers. Got to the half pipe at Van's Skatepark the metal box to the left in the corner at the top wall ride behind it you can walk under the entire map, I am happy to send you a list of glitches
Gosh I loved this game. Beat it uncountable times then just went on a glitch hunt. They are literally everywhere. I use to love glitch hunting back then. When youtube was so limited and you really had to hunt for things. even on the internet just finding the examples was often a challenge. I haven't watched entire video yet but I hope you include the kyoto glitch on top of the large building with a pool on the roof.
I was only like 5 when I played this, but something always felt so strange about this game. I think it's the lack of music. Especially near the protestors in the first area. Just their chants and your board cracking.
Secret spots were so much cooler back in the day just because nowadays there’s so much clutter on the ground and in the background, it makes it tedious to find anything.
1:44 - Useless trick you can do here, but it's kinda cool: if you skate towards Right Edge of the furthest white wall, and ollie as you touch it, you gonna fall out of bounds and teleport directly inside the parking lot, getting you in Santa Monica, this can be done even if you haven't unlocked the area yet. You can't do anything besides the Graffiti Challenges tho. You can also get in East LA early, by clipping through "roof" of the sewer as well, but it's pretty difficult to do, requires decent airtime (moon gravity or BSlap exploit) as well as a precise wall run.
I remember finding a glitch where if you took the BMX to the very steep roof at 0:32 and tried to ride directly up it for a few seconds you'd be flung into the air. Don't know if my memory is just completely making this up but I'm sure I remember doing that.
Ahhh, love that feeling. You remind me a good, old times, when I was playing free ride online and all server tries to broke game, find some bugs, goes out of map. I was play that in 2009-2010? Greeting to all who was played in that time.
On gamecube there was a shop keeper in the secret shop at 2:05 ish. Would crash your game interacting with it lol. Maybe its a deeper shop relating to the lower layer can't 100% remember.
i remember some guys in multiplayer showed me how to climb up on the top of this building with blue/yellow/orange fragments 0:46 and on the roof of hotel...
I think I remember being able to get to the High Roller Area in the casino part of the map without using the moon gravity cheat. You just had to build up your speed by skating on the quarter pipe slot machines and then you could build up enough speed that when you get high enough, you could make your way there. Either that, or that's how I got to the upside down glitch of the map without using cheats. I'd have to play it again to find out.
Holy shit man I always thought 5:33 was a fever dream. My brother showed me it once when I was like 6 or 7 and I was never able to find it myself. I would always try to jump through the Nokia billboard lol. Crazy memories
you can also wallride below the developer dollar on the window building and infinite ollie glitch in the corner and eventually get to the dollar. thats how i found it at least
You forgot the bathroom in Vans indoor skatepark. There's a double door that you'd wall plant and then you'd gain access to the bathroom. The toilet fell through the floor so you could go down and break ground level double doors as well.
This was the best Tony hawk game. If you didn't play this, I hate to break it to you but you missed your childhood and we can not be friends and also we can fight
that casino location is from THUG 2 Remix ifykyk😭😭 i found out a lot from this game the other day while playing it and i was in awe. I beat the classic mode in like what felt like 2 hours and the maps were familiar and i remembered half of em were from THUG pro 1 + 2 (the remastered)
i was hoping there were spots ive never seen before but ive seen all these and more, the out of bonds areas are wild sometimes lol my favorite part was the invis wall bouncing you instead of just being a flat wall
Ah this brings back so many memories from when I was like 5. Used to chill & play this all the time at my dads house. RIP dad ❤

"Hey Hey! Yo yo! The use of wool has got to go!"
I’ll never forget playing as a 10 year old kid not knowing wtf they were saying at first 😂
“Stop the wooly bullies”
"What do we want?"
"Sheep freedom!"
"When do we want it?"
"Now! (right now!)"
They got what ecoterrorists deserve. We could learn from this game.
I still sing their chants at random times 😂
This was hands down the best Tony Hawk game
I preferred THUG 2
@@porschepal7932 Second on the list but there is more to do on Wasteland and no loading screens
@@firstsonofthesea7938 said loading screens were masked behind bland corridors but yeah it’s still the best tony hawk game
@@firstsonofthesea7938 this, thug2 and thug1 were peak in the series imo
@@firstsonofthesea7938 Yeah I gotcha. American Wasteland was a great game too.
Crazy how looking back on a childhood game can make you feel , I loved this one

4:45 so many memories doing this, and playing that mode with the fireballs and just hiding out there. East LA!!!
This was my childhood, i hope they can remastered this game🥺

This is my favorite tony hawk game of all time 😊♥️
I'd say tony hawk underground 1 was the best one ever made
The fact we could BMX in this game made it my favorite TH game
At the Casino, they sort of left some stuff that was in the original Las Vegas level from Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix.
I remember finding a glitch where if you took the BMX to the very steep roof at 0:32 and tried to ride directly up it for a few seconds you'd be flung into the air. Don't know if my memory is just completely making this up but I'm sure I remember doing that.

Xbox??
For some reason this gives off such an eerie feeling. Don’t know if it’s from playing the game so much as a child or what
I remember finding that Beverly hills glitched area that softlocks your game when I was younger, and I used to call it boogertown.
[Me, seeing him climb on top of the Beverly Hills mall, out loud]: "Think you can throw my piece up there?"
I remember this game the graphics were different and I never new about these hidden gaps.
Funny fact: Mindy in this game is kind of the reason why I'm into emo girls
No one can lie into this we all had some sort of crush on Mindy in thaw
@@M4DAttack ha ha ha 😂 same here creed summer voice her number 5 and her sister.

This game needs a remaster! I need it now
Would love a switch version of this. I’m pretty sure this was one of the first open world games I remember playing as a kid. Good times :)
Watching this video is taking me back and into my feels 😢 I miss this game and those days
I just brought a ps2 to play all the tony hawks, amazing games
1:13 hey hey yo yo

Looks like the kid from Bully has been going jogging.
I love the effort in your videos and the 1440p resolution. You're one of my favourite youtubers!
Thanks man!
Damn, you broke this game good! Nice finds!
Thank you for posting this

I miss cool and funny developers like the ones that did all the Tony Hawks
When my cousin first introduced me this game on ps2… I FELL IN LOVE WITH SKATEBOARDING
The sound of the stairs brought back years of my childhood

I played this game on my GameCube when I was little ten years ago. This game got into skateboarding and made me buy my first pair of Etnies.
This and BMX XXX!! My childhood right there!
you can also wallride below the developer dollar on the window building and infinite ollie glitch in the corner and eventually get to the dollar. thats how i found it at least
I started cheering the sign chant as soon as I saw them 😭 miss these days
Man, i'm reimagining my childhood again

I want a remaster of this and THUG 1&2
I freaking loved this Tony Hawk game. I would play it through again, even tho the story is cheesy as hell.

I miss playing this game with my siblings and so many memories of this
Miss these days. They need to go ahead and remaster tHUg1 2 american wasteland. Just one at a time, no bundles. U know? Like really remaster them,
This was the best tony hawk game change my mind
I was more into thug2. It was more chaotic and more fun for me. The story line was crazy
Tony Hawk's Fortnite is way better
The Bronson cave easter egg was great
God, i miss this game, so much time lost to this game and id gladly give more to it if i could

Very nice hidden and secret areas from Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.
I'm so glad that I played this. A lot
This looks so good , is this on pc?
“Stop the maaaaaaaadness”
7:54 whauuuut thats so cool!!!!
Bro what are you playing this on. The graphics are amazing
I wish I could play this in my Xbox one
I wish they used American Wasteland instead of Underground 2 as the foundation for THUGPRO.
i remember playing this as a kid and just being dissapointed i could clear the hollywood 16 by 100ft lol
The use of wool has got to go.
Most of these aren't even secret
It's out of bounds area
Great merch 👍
5:35 isn't that andythps?
This game is almost 20 years old
2:26 isnt that the same UNIT graffiti in GTA5?

So much better mechanics than THUG2
200 points for "board whacking"
Dude sweet memories
