Some specialists encourage you to drink no fewer than 8 glasses (or half a gallon) of water a day, and others are sure that you need to drink constantly and as much as your body can accommodate.     SUMMARY
    -When you are born, your body is comprised of 75% water. As you grow older and become an adult, this number becomes a bit smaller: 60%.
    -The Institute of Medicine recommends that women drink no less than 72 oz of water a day, which equals 9 cups. As for men, they need more water: 104 oz (or 13 cups) a day.
    -If you don't get enough water, your body temperature won't stay within its normal range. Your joints won't be lubricated and cushioned. Your body waste won't be able to leave your body through sweat, urine, and bowel movements. Even your spine will end up unprotected.
    -Your body will simply stop functioning without water. Every single cell needs this liquid to work and live.
    -Too much water in your body dilutes electrolytes in the blood. As a result, sodium levels go down. This condition is called hyponatremia.
    -Buy a cool water bottle, and carry it with you wherever you go. If you have problems with the taste of ordinary water (or the absence of a taste), try to drink carbonated water. Add fruit to your water bottle.

      You know, the amount of water you drink depends on the volume as well as with the bottle itself. It's reccomended to drink as much as tolerable, and how much you mentioned is not too accurate. Although I agree too much water leads to hyponutermia, too much water can lead to weight gain and health problems.

    people who drink from plastic bottles pls switch to re-usable glass bottles or bottles that you know you know you won't throw away because it can't be recycled.

      Victor Fn I don't think glass bottles is highly recommended since they break. reusable plastic or stainless steel containers i prefer to avoid accidents in case of broken glass

      That's too much water & unnecessary! That much will dilute yr electrolytes & offers no health benefits. Drinking half gallon, at most, is a better option.

    Ive managed to drink 3litres of water almost everyday. It feels pretty good plus you don't bother any BS around you because you are too busy peeing yourself most of the day. So stay hydrated.

    While in College for Massage Therapy, one of my instructors who was a Licensed Chiropractor gave me a formula for how much water to drink that I still use to this day. And it's really easy to remember how much.
    Drink Half your Body Weight in Ounces. For example, if you're a 190 male, drink at least 80 oz of water daily.

      i'm only 105 lbs @5'4"
      yet i drink 1-2 liters of water a day religiously since 2010
      (my choice)
      yet if a person is say over 200 plus pounds or even severe 500+ lbs obesity
      well
      then they have A LOT of water to drink ! wow ! so many obese Americans
      that may never drink water their entire life 🤷‍♀️

    I wake up, 1 cup. Whenever I bring a water bottle to school I make a point to drink at least a few sips in each class. When I get home I drink 2 cups. At dinner i usually drink at least a cup and before bed sometimes I have a cup or two of tea about an hour before I get ready for bed. When I brush my teeth I end up drinking some water to after I rinse. So I guess that's pretty good, take in mind I'm almost 14 and live in a hot climate. I exercise a decent amount too.

    Thank you so much! I have been drinking 16-32 oz of water daily. My immune system is weakend, I was suffering from a headache, I felt my pulse or something like that during the headache, my spine was/is in pain, and my fever got worse. I also felt freezing cold in 77 degrees (F)! Drink water.

    My elderly mother does not drink enough water in a day and we're always having a conversation about drinking enough. This video will hopefully reinforce what Ive shared with her or maybe she will actually hear it for the first time with someone else doing the telling. She is 92 and we are dealing with a 3rd UTI this year.

    I REALLY enjoyed the tip about adding fresh fruit or mint leaves to your water to give it a little flavor I've always had a really hard time drinking water and this is definitely inspiring me to go out in the morning, hunt down some mint down in my neighborhoodand,and buy a bunch of different types of fruit to put in my water & have some ready in the fridge. Also, I just started watering down my juice(for years, thats ALL I've been drinking 🙄 OJ), like a ⅓c of juice to ⅔c water and I or even less of the juice and that helps a lot too, but the fresh fruit & mint would have a lot less sugar so I like your idea better so thank you very much I have only felt the urge to comment online only a couple times, but this is DEFINITELY inspired me, so THANK YOU!

    I keep cans of La Croix and other flavored sparkling waters in the fridge, daily. As I take one out, I replace it with another. I drink about 3- 4 of these daily (12oz ea) and a couple of bottled spring waters with lemon juice too. Sometimes I also have a coffee or hot tea in the a.m. Thanks for sharing these facts with us! 👏🏼

    I also carry a backpack with water bottles in it this keeps me liquified throughout the day I also use the restroom at city hall in Chester when the Chester terminal is closed, gives me walking exercise too. Drinking water also helps to reduce weight gain.

    I'm 18, athletic and I drink over 2-3 gallons of water a day, and that still doesn't seem enough, becauseI wake up in the middle of the night because of thirst.
