Nice finish in the end. Shame about that ceiling coming down mate but you get the odd bad job. I had a ceiling come down before i think its happened to most of us but a few fs and jeffs and then you crack on and get it done. Bonus is the customer's room is slightly bigger i mean they will never notice.
@@ThePlasterer oh that's true I remember playing a big ceiling then thought lovely it's tacky mixed a 2 bagger of bonding looked up big bubbles on ceiling it was lining paper tgat had been painted 100s of times lol but like this just stripped it of and wast to bad under just scrim and skim lol
@@ThePlasterer yes ure doing great job .plastering the hardest in buildings .I was a jobbing builder but plastering would come up had to do it get cash.
Nice quality job mate I can see why you skimmed straight away most of the time it's nice too do all the prep at once but it's a ballache with trying too manage suction next day etc ain't it.
As soon as it starts to change colour, or feels very firm I go for it, if it all goes dark brown that's fine too if any of it starts getting lighter in colour again, then the suction is gonna start pulling
Kirk Giordano sent me here😂👍🏽. Awesome channel, great work.
I love Kirky, I've done an interview with him on my channel 👍😊 he's a great guy 👍👍

Ooof that ceiling. Unlucky mate, happened to me the other day. You definetely took it better thab me
On camera yeah 😂😂
Gota hate the hidden paper loads of work on that 1 mate
At least there was a reason for it Joe, when it first cracked I had no idea why 😂

Aww no 😢. Cant believe it fell after the work you'd put in .
A bit gutting 😭😂
Some messing about with that pal..how long that take ya.. looks good all finished 👍🏻
Ended up 4 days including tidying up and replacing the dropped ceiling, having to shift some of the white goods around didn't help 😅
Skimming over Artex......the Russian roulette of plastering.🤦
😂😂
Only shot myself in the head a handful of times in a long career 😂
Only one I know that uses pva instead of sbr
My trade mark, neat PVA, leave to dry 👍
Through doing ceilings I've got ostrivotose in the neck 40 years in the trade unfortinutly, 63
Sorry to hear that mate, not far behind you, 38 years on the tools 61 this month

👀👍🤗
Lovely job Eric did you use the tracking camera on this video? Or was someone filming you
Tracking camera mate 👍
Nice quality job mate I can see why you skimmed straight away most of the time it's nice too do all the prep at once but it's a ballache with trying too manage suction next day etc ain't it.
Yeah, I'd like to prep everything first, and sometimes do, but then the extra job of pva ing it all the next day can be an extra pain 😁
@@ThePlasterer yeah exactly especially when you have loads of bonding too do like you do in your video
Right fiddle of a job
You're not wrong Graham 👍
Ceiling should of been overboarded
Would have saved me time and money this time around 😂
That's how we learn
@@pauledgar3274 learning all the time 😂
My thoughts exactly eliminates all problems 😂
Not always wanted or in the price. You can’t force the right way on people
Why didn’t you just overboard the ceiling?
More expensive and takes longer finding joists etc ..
9 and a half times out of 10 I bond and set over Artex, probably coz I'm too lazy to board it 😂 unless it is a necessity, and what Andy said 😊
So on average after bonding over artex How long would you leave it to start skimming over it?
As soon as it starts to change colour, or feels very firm I go for it, if it all goes dark brown that's fine too if any of it starts getting lighter in colour again, then the suction is gonna start pulling
@@ThePlasterer thanks Eric 👍
Finished 58
Cowboy builders
The knock through was ok but leave the beads to the spreads
Stick them on plaster
The proper traditional way is to stick beads with plaster
You could do with a better hop up brother...
Very true ,I usually use stilts 😁👍
