Great job sunshine. I remember watching my dad create our walkway and patio when I was quite young. No molds just squares. Tinted cement to boot. Looked great. Being a girl, he was old fashion, I did not get to help him. Lol. Thanks. New subscriber. 💚🇨🇦
These were the good old days when every other job involved some good old stamp work. Matter of fact we did our backyard this way with all the craze haha
Oh, I like that! Like those type of stamps. These look much easier to use. Put down cement and stamp it rather than put down a plastic mold, fill it with cement and wait for cement to start to harden before moving on.
Hola mi gente, feliz domingooo!!!!! Exelente trabajo, le ponen tantas ganas que se ve fasil hacerlo, sigan en el ruedo, saludos desde San Juan Argentina. 👍👍👍🇦🇷
This seems like a perfect thing to do in an area besides my house. I would love to try this. I wish knew where to get a mold. Also, I need more info about the coloring added.
By now there's crack joints on this slab, with every slab core you NEED to install wire mesh or rebar to tolerate crack control joints, but what do I know, I'm just a Concrete Forming Especialist
Generally speaking, expansion joints should be no farther apart than 2 to 3 times (in feet) the total thickness of the concrete (in inches). So for a 4‑inch thick concrete slab, expansion joints should be no more than 8 to 12 feet apart. Your mileage will vary with your climate and base.
When you keep repeating the pattern in the same direction, it looks fake because you end up with a running joint from one side of the path to the other. But if you change the direction of the stamp you will eliminate the running joint and it will look way more realistic. Running joints are a NO,NO in any stone masonry work. I know, I'm a stone mason.
Very nice! But I wonder if you could turn the stencil 90/180 degrees here and there to make it look even more natural and vivid. Now it's a row of identical sections so it looks somewhat artificial.
I love the look. But is the paint durable? Does it crack in 10-20 years? I think I will go with sandstone instead (similar rustique look), but it seems really good for some cases. Especially that you can use any mold and style the colour.
I love videos where there is no talking like yours. This is great and I love it. Thank you very much. But it would better if you list the recipe as well that we know what materials and how much you used. Excellent video.
Excellent work! Looks so neat! For me, I would have just dragged the sponge over the surface very lightly with the same color choices so I wouldn't fill in what would be the 'mortar' lines. Al-in-all, your way still looks great! Thanks for the cool vid! 👍😎 A+
Luv it! Especially luv ❤ videos where there’s no talking. Silence is golden. Walkway turned out beautifully.

Would there be any need to add in contraction joints on a longer sidewalk using this method?
Generally speaking, expansion joints should be no farther apart than 2 to 3 times (in feet) the total thickness of the concrete (in inches). So for a 4‑inch thick concrete slab, expansion joints should be no more than 8 to 12 feet apart. Your mileage will vary with your climate and base.

They made the molds themselves. Says that in the video

Go to amazon.. mold casting material or home Depot ask someone there. Search up cement mold , ready made mold for cement

in fact, two sides of the mold are staggered precisely for this reason. The mold was used in the wrong direction.
