  • Ghanaian actress Nana Akua Addo has become a hot topic on social media due to allegations made by Nigerian designer Ezinne Olivia Styling. The designer claims that Nana did not give her credit for the outfit she wore at the AMVCA. Ezinne has promised to provide evidence of her work through a live session at 5 pm.
Nana’s outfit, which was made from a unique 3D material, captured everyone’s attention at the event. She complemented it with a hat from Heidilee’s Endless Echo and a shell clutch from Chanel. However, Ezinne insists that she was the one who designed the outfit and was not acknowledged by Nana.
According to reports, Ezinne was given the option of being tagged or receiving payment, and she chose the latter. Additionally, she had to spend a significant amount of money to travel with her team from Enugu to Lagos. On the other hand, Nana refused to tag Ezinne, causing a commotion online.

The designer of the dress is a Ghanaian while Ezinne tailored the outfit. Ezinne has no right to request the client Tag her alone without the designer. Their transaction was done as soon as she got paid, tagging her should be done out of her free will and not compulsion.

If she wasn’t a celebrity, the designer won’t be asking for a tag or be so concerned about it

That's not true. As a designer I post even processes , even just the fabric before it's done. It's all about showing off your work.

Our problems has been not appreciating ‘our own’…. Am glad that you mentioned how quick they tag foreign designers than their local breeds… it has been the situation for everything ! Whatever that comes from the ‘abroad’ is always better. What a mentality. I think the narrative is change by day, people are improving. Take for instance, where people will ship ‘WATER’ 😳 to Nigeria… common. Some of These people are worst in their countries. We just need to do better and stop running after shadows✌️🙌

Here in the UK some celebrities ask for free stuff from businesses to tag them in return. Some businesses refuse and drag the celebrities to the media.
The reason is that everything is expensive and a lot of business are shutting down. The business owners let the celebrities know that they should be supporting businesses to stay afloat.
However some small businesses are happy to just be tagged. Different stokes for different folks. As the ladies suggested, celebrities and businesses have conversation and come to an agreement, so there's no misunderstanding.

There are updates to the story. The designer was Yoli Koomson(a Ghanaian) got the concept together and Heidi Lee ( a Chinese) made the 3D designs. Ezinne made the brown undergarment and due to Yoli's flight issues and the delicate nature of the dress, they contacted Ezinne to put the pieces together under Yoli's instruction.
Ezinne chose the money over the tag.( Remember that tags are also a source of income for celebrities).
Ezinne also charged everything including the lunch with no discount.
Nonetheless, the celebrity( Nana Akua Addo) still tagged Ezinne but she told them to remove her name because she didnt want to "share the shine"
Well now Nana's lawyers have called for a retraction of the defamatory posts or else she will sue Ezinne.

Tope needs to work on her moderating ability . She lost two callers to her chatting with her colleagues. She needs to maintain the link with the producers behind the scene.

What celebrity? The maker of the designer is a celebrity herself Biko? What’s this? Why can’t the Ghanaian designer make the dress? What give accolades to her? It is ok to leave out the real designer’s name from the post but not say someone else did the work, that is wrong. The designer has the right to her work maybe without this “celebrity” photo

@@hiefia8568 abi, who is even this Ezinne? At first I thought it was Veekee James sef. If it was Swanky Jerry or Tiana or Veekee James, Mai Atako etc , these are celebrities, it would be a different story.
