  • The incident, which has gained significant traction on social media, reportedly stems from an ongoing and contentious relationship that culminated in divorce. Chioma has publicly accused the pastor of multiple counts of infidelity and domestic violence, recounting the hardships she endured over their 18 to 19-year marriage.
    In a video that went viral on Tuesday, Chioma is seen addressing the camera, accusing the pastor of evicting her and their children without prior notice. “See him, God will help me. This is a pastor. Look at him. He called the police and evicted me and the children out of the house,” she stated. “Look at me, look at my properties all outside unannounced. We were in the house this afternoon; he just came to the house with the police and threw my things away. He already packed his things out of the house for years, sleeping around.”
    Chioma further alleged that the pastor had informed the court that he sold his property to prevent her from receiving any portion of his wealth in the divorce settlement. This revelation has sparked widespread public outrage and sympathy for Chioma and her children, highlighting significant issues of domestic abuse and the systemic challenges faced by women in similar situations.

    Thank you Nyma, there should be kindness even in divorce. Also, every parent is expected to provide support to the children even when there is divorce. You don't kick out your wife and children to live on the streets because you are divorced. This is why our men are against reasonable laws in the developed countries, they prefer the Nigerian laws that allow them to be monsters.

Which man will evect his wife with 6 children, his own 6 children. Where was his heart and love for those children. This can never never happen in this part of the world that i live. It will never ever even cross the man's mind, not to talk of acting it, with government officials..hmmm

    In today’s world, we complain about feminism. Why do we think that this has become a trend? A man only earns his Lordship because his subjects or family in this case offer submission. To lead, you must have people who are willing to follow.
    It’s always critical to ask, what will I say to my Maker if He asks me about this situation? If you cannot justify your actions, then do not do it.

    • @ikechukwuogbu9306
      @ikechukwuogbu9306 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They don't pay child support because of the way the country is structured. The moslems in the north say they only submit to Islamic laws. So they have sharia courts. The southern christians in retaliation came up with customary courts. And customary courts favor the men with it's obnoxious laws.

But if you see them outside, you'll think she's the happiest woman in the world. Another pastor of my former church was sleeping with several female members, going abroad for vacations, while the wife and kids were struggling. The woman stayed there because God hates divorce until she caught and STD. I have other true life stories, but i don't want t to share them, because my comment will be too long. The fact that she alleged abuse should be discussed. The alleged victim should always be believed until proven otherwise. You cannot take one issue out of multiple issues. This is unfair! Well done Nyma, you’re speaking sense. Marriage under any religious concept is just ceremonial, what the law says can overwrite if the parties chooses to go their own way. We need to move away from these religious jargon and I am Christian and that’s my view. This is why people suffer and die in abusive marriages.

    This is why I don’t believe Nigeria is a country of family values. It never has been. If you want to know if a country supports family values, look at its laws. There is no place a man can throw out his wife and minor children out of her house. So offensive to the ears. In fact that single act is all a judge needs to decide if he is a fit father and if he was actually so controlling the woman could not work out if the home. That could basically mean that he will lose custody and not only pay child support but even spousal support for a while. I have even seen cases were the judge was just tired of the mother and fathers drama that the court threw both parents out of the home and the parents took turns staying in the home to care for the kids. This happened until an amicable conclusion was agreed upon. The children always come first. So like I said the only time there are no consequences for this types of behavior is in societies where the law does not protect the family. The man is not the family. The whole family includes the parents and the children.

      Remember that we are still operating on our laws and constitutions, which are very old archaic and ancient. These laws, which were voted and put in place by men, have never been updated in the last hundred years. It was never put in place to favour the women and the children. That's why, in the majority of the African society, there is a lack of accountability and responsibility. The strength of the law is not applicable to most men

  • @idowum
    @idowum 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Personally, I believe that divorce should be the last resort when a couple has irreconcilable differences. However, when children are involved, the process can be even more challenging. In such cases, it's crucial for the divorcing couple to agree on a transition process that prioritizes the children's well-being and maintains dignity for all parties. This includes ensuring a stable and loving environment for the children, as well as respectful co-parenting and communication. By doing so, we can minimize the negative impact of divorce on the family and promote a smoother transition for everyone involved.
    Divorcing couple must prioritize the children's well-being, and maintaining dignity for all parties is essential in navigating the complexities of divorce. By encouraging a thoughtful and collaborative approach, think promoting a more compassionate and responsible way of handling the divorce process is very important to the parties.

My own in this matter is, even if the marriage is not working out anymore, can the 2 parties maturely just break up peacefully...like the way some white people do...they talk about it, each expresses their pain, and they just say 'this isn't working anymore, yeah..etc', and they separate. I hope Nigerians can grow to this level of civilization.

    The worst experience is when our men traveled home to go and bring wives as if there are no responsible ladies to marry where they are living. Their selfish intentions are to bring them as slaves to torture. Some of our men in diaspora will be the to dictate what profession to go to like Nursing. Why can’t they go to Nursing schools too instead of forcing their women to become nurses against their wishes. Highly abusive people just like their fathers tortured their mothers to deaths. Women work hard to raise your children not in abusive homes & don’t stop praying & counseling them from time to time.

    Most women can send a man insane, no body knows the level of emotional torture and abuse the man has sustained from the actions of the woman in those years marriage, Most women use children as a defence to behave rudely and confrontational in relationship with their husbands, however,children shouldn't be involved in the conflicts of their parents, they should be taken care of, by the way, should always be men paying provision of maintenance and support for the family in all marital disengagement, women, especially those feminist should learn to be financially independent.

    The pastor story is pathetic and very typical of most African Family rift affairs . They should own the property together and the woman should not be ejected out of her house

    I like that woman with the Islamic perspective.
    Kindly read the Qur'an, Chapter Divorce, verse1-12.

      Thank you! Nigerians are self-styled 'authority ' on issues 🙄 The country is suffering from profound serious attitudes and problems from most women. There are appalling issues that need to be highlighted as a result of checking on DNA, which I needs attention. Imagine all the so-called called media panels deliberating on issues left, right and centre, they need to visit column of Kevin Samuel 😳???

      we have no idea whether there was DNA or not but what is wrong is wrong you cannot throw out anybody with six children second of all you do not own the house by yourself if your wife has been married to you for that long, you are co-owners you cannot just sell the house without her consent

      @dadakeshinro6749 kevin Samuels was a nasty so n so, so tey he died and people were jubilation. However i really am not partial to women who deceive men with kids that are not theirs even if d man was shooting blanks let him know. That's y we need d full story. But if it a case of DNA ha d man will not say anything oh.
