Depends. Companies from 5.11 to Vanquest make tactical to discreet packs. Eberlestock is hunting to tactical. Vertx is the most hiking to discreet edc. Mystery Ranch is hiking, military, etc. All high quality stuff. Personally I do not think tactical or even camo is bad. Grey man is overrated. If people are desperate your pack color or camo or not won’t matter.
IFAK, headlamp, good walking shoes, energy bars, water, properly programmed 'fang is great option too ( short range vhf uhf AND fm receiver), maps and lightweight tarp .rest is season specific.
