Welcome back to putting Zelda videos on TH-cam my fellow bandit I have missed your legend of Zelda content thank you for another upload and may you have a wonderful day bandit!!😁😁👍👍
Did you say Zelda 2 is the game immediately preceding BotW!? Tsk, tsk. Don't let your opinions cloud your senses. There is no confirmed timeline placement, my dude.
So about the glasses. Do they effect your eyes in any way? You know, like how a person with good eyesight will get their eyesight damaged when wearing glasses.
Every time I play BotW, there's this mild sense of frustration that I'm only sitting on a couch and its Link who gets to run around Hyrule. But then i think about HOW MUCH running he does, and I think, "Well, I'd be exhausted after an hour of this."
So the Sailcloth Zelda makes is based on the design of the sailcloth the Hylia's chosen hero used. This fits just fine with the idea that the Hero of the Skies is that chosen hero. The reasoning is simple: Link and Zelda grow up with these legends about a legendary hero who slew the Demon King, but has no idea the legendary hero is Link. Fast forward 18 years or so to the Wing ceremony, and Zelda uses the legends to create her Sailcloth she gives to Link and she tells him it's "just like the one the hero used". Then the events of the game happen, and Link goes back in time to become that hero and close the causality loop. It's a simple bootstrap paradox just like with the Goron vase in Oracle of Ages. You get the vase from a goron in the future and then give that same vase to that goron's ancestor in the past. That vase is then passed down to the goron who ultimately gives it to Link who then goes back in time and gives it to the ancestor. Same thing with the sailcloth. Zelda makes a sailcloth based on legends from the past, that sailcloth is then taken to the past giving birth to the very legends that Zelda used to create the sailcloth that would ultimately become the basis of those legends.
I haven't played the game so I could be wrong, but isn't it actually more impossible that it isn't the Hero of the Skies. It would mean the Demon King was defeated by a human twice... and I'm pretty sure there's no way that could have happened in the story... but again I could be wrong. EDIT: Yeah, I think the more important Dialogue is Demise saying "You fight like no man or demon I have ever known." Hero of the Skies is almost definitely the first one to beat him, while Zelda would have no way of knowing and being able to confirm her Sailcloth isn't the original.
@@FreelanceGenie Zelda thought that her sailcloth wasn't the original because she made it before most of the events in the game and wasn't aware of their destinies of going back in time.
I could be wrong but I think it’s mentioned that the sailcloth used by the first hero was made by Hylia. Zelda obviously didn’t know it at the time, but turns out she is Hylia.
I think the "two zeldas" discovery should have been phrased differently. afaik all princesses of hyurle are named Zelda, and following that logic, a lot of them become queens, there's almost always more than one zelda technically. Even in BOTW it implies that Zelda's mother also had the power of the goddess, its just there wasn't any conflict to use her powers, and that's why the princess had problems awakening her power without her mother, Queen Zelda's guidance.
This is (a more detailed version of) what I was going to say. When he said "TWO Zeldas alive at the SAME TIME" like it was something mind-bending, I thought, "Yeah, there are usually multiple Zeldas, because that's what all the princesses are named."
@Kissalude No they weren't. the seven maidens were descendants of the seven sages. As far as we know the sages were not related, but even if they were, that doesn't make the maidens sisters since each maiden is descended from a different sage.
Wouldn't that make the Zelda that Link awakened the new queen (save for if the current rulers (minus her descendant Zelda)? If you think about it, with everything that happened in Zelda 1, they didn't say anything about the current king/queen that was around. But then again, THAT Zelda could just take an advisory role for the current Zelda so the same thing doesn't happen to her.
But still, he says he was a friend of the legendary hero; aka, the Hero of Time. We never saw a "Fodo" in Ocarina. Not only that, but the Kokiri never even knew about Link being a warrior I guess this could just be something that happened in between games and wasn't shown, but it seems like more of a ret-con
I feel like Zelda saying it's not the same sailcloth doesn't necessarily make it true since if you assume the hero before the game is Link traveling back in time, that Zelda at that specific point in time when she gives you the sailcloth at the beginning of the game wouldn't know that Link would eventually travel back in time and use it in the past and potentially make it a legend in the present. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with that theory necessarily, but I'm just saying that Zelda saying it's not the same sailcloth doesn't make it true given there's other context involved that would make her not really have any way of actually knowing that.
I am so happy you are coming back to Zelda! It’s so hard to choose which game is my favorite, but I’d have to go with Majoras Mask. Keep up the good work Bandit! Edit: Thanks for 100 likes y’all! 😊
I’ve also got a correction: while it’s true that the Oracle Series don’t have Ganon _separately_ in either quest, he is actually the final boss of the combined quest story (which is the canon form of that installment) Guess what _else_ is unique to the combined Oracle games but not in the separate stories? _The Master Sword_ That’s the correction, it’s the real deal Master Sword in those two games because he fights the real deal Ganon in those two games, too
For the Gerudo males thing, my theory is: If it is true that the figure we see in the BOTW 2 trailer is Ganondorf. Then maybe for a Gerudo male to be born, the last one has to die first. If that figure is Ganondorf, then since he isn't actually "dead" and in a "stasis" a new male can't be born. Explaining why there are no males and males haven't been born in a long time. Just my theory.
My personal Theory for 7:18 is that no Gerudo Males have been born since Ganondorf, because one is only born when a new king is needed. Therefor, since Ganondorf is still "alive", or at least he still exists, there hasnt been a new Gerudo male
I wanna point out this on the Sailcloth statement. Even if Zelda said it's not the one the old hero used, it doesn't mean that it isn't. She said this at the start of the game, before she awoke as Hylias mortal incarnation and after she did the sailcloth became the one from the legends after Ghirrahim decided to involve time travel. The old hero is the 1st Link, it's the reason why there aren't a tomb or any relics from him in the era of Skyward Sword. Because he took all his stuff with him as he left, except the Master Sword. At least that is my take. On the topic of Fado. Koroks and Kokiri are child-like lesser spirits born from the Deku Tree and can take many shapes withinn the limits of his power. Since they are born from, and bound to, the Deku Tree they are sexless and have no actual gender. The only thing that decides what they appear as is what they wish as an individual or what is deemed neccesary by the Deku Tree. The Kokiri where given the shape of children both because of their playfull and childlike nature and the need for Link to grow up in a (relatively) human-like community so that he would not be completely out off his depth when going into Hylian society. Fado was in the guise of a girl in OoT and just altered the guise to a boy, just like you change a set of clothes. Why? Nobody knows but Nintendo, but I belive it was a way for Fado to remember and honor Link and their friendship. (I hope I wasn't too confusing, my written grammar is rather poor.)
Hey man, you do you and never stop! Your real fans will stick around and if something you cover isn’t their kind of thing, we’ll just respectfully wait until you upload something new that we’ll dive straight into ❤️
I've always thought with the downfall timeline, that it was a result of one of times you returned the master sword in oot to go back in time, and in doing so, created a new branch where an ill equipped link had to face ganondorf, or simply couldn't reach him
There's one small issue with that idea. If Link was creating a new timeline branch every time he returned the Master Sword, then he would be entering an entirely new future free of his influence after pulling it again. But instead, the results of all of his actions in the future are preserved, suggesting that he is still within the same timeline as always.
I want to say two things: Nice to see some Zelda again, but also: It’s been great to see all the other series and videos you’ve been doing too! Your ability to construct well written analysis and scripts works well not just within the scope of Zelda. Just wanted it to be known that just as it sounds like what you said at the end of the video, although Zelda is very special, it’s good to not treat it as the only thing that exists. So I look forward to your future content, Zelda and non-Zelda alike!
You are a certified Zelda fan if you knew all of them, but even if you didn't you are still a certified Zelda fan, because everybody here is welcome :)
The eye symbol on the back of Midna's helmet mask is also on the Twilight Palace throne that Zant sits on. Some people also say that the big green symbol behind the Twilight Palace throne is like a weird elongated version of the Crest/Eye of Sheikah
There’s a theory that the fallen timeline is the original Child timeline except there’s no Link or master sword. I mean think about it, the “master sword” from a Link to the past and A Link between worlds need to be “forged” to become stronger but not just that in later games like the original legend of Zelda and it’s sequel don’t even require the master sword at all. It could also explain how the master sword got to the lost woods from the temple of time
Subscribed for the Zelda theories, stuck around for the personality behind them. You, HG, NBC, and Zeltik are my most watched Zelda content channels, and having to move you more into the variety category with MatPat isn't a bad thing.
As far as the Downfall timeline, I've always assumed that it was caused by Link fighting off Ganondorf immediately at the Temple of Time as he claims the triforce, getting that piece and then Zelda's, Ganondorf has all 3 pieces and takes over, then there's a big destructive war against him, and some other form of sages (since their descendants are all human in ALttP) come together with a spell to seal him away in the dark world that was created when he first touched it (vs the seal in the end of OoT, where they purify it back to the Sacred Realm). Then, they try to use time travel to go back and fix the world (the way Zelda sends Link back to be a kid) and the plan is for Rauru to grab Link before Ganondorf can kill him and risk letting Ganondorf run around with a single piece until they're ready to take the fight to him. It just seems like that makes the most sense for a split and how it would come about, and is also a proper explanation for why they pull Link away and let him age, they already knew he'd lose.
So wait, if Hylia’s original hero hasn’t been seen yet… what if that hero is the green hand helping Link and granting him new powers in Tears of the Kingdom????? 👀
4:48 In fact, Hylia's Chosen Hero is not the only Hero we have yet to see. Across the series there have been several mentions of Heroes whose exploits we haven't seen, at least as of this post. There's the Hero Of Men, mentioned in TMC's opening and the one who saved the newly-founded Hyrule by sealing Demise's remaining minions in the Bound Chest, which Vaati opens to kick off the plot of TMC. Then there's Vaati's Jailer, who sealed the resurrected, amnesiac Vaati in the Four Sword, but the seal is imperfect, and inevitably fails, kicking off FS' plot. And finally the Hero of 10 thousand years ago, the first Hero of the current continuity, who was supported by the Divine Beasts and ALL the Guardians when he sealed Calamity Ganon underneath Hyrule Castle. There are also some implied events that could be expanded into their own games. Such as the Hero Of Time's second adulthood, between MM and TP, where he learns/develops the Hidden Skills he teaches to TP!Link. And then we have the first battle between FSA!Link and Vaati, as confirmed even in the Japanese version of FSA's opening, taking place some time before the events of FSA. Lastly, I'm curious about Classic!Link's travels prior to saving Impa and setting the events of _The Hyrule Fantasy_ in motion. In fact, all of this and a few things I left out can be found in an entry I made on the "post-HH" WMG page for _The Legend Of Zelda_ on TV Tropes. Go check it out!
I honestly believe that the Fallen Timeline is actually the original timeline. I have 2 reasons for this: One, the first 4 games were of the Fallen Timeline. Two, in Ocarina of Time, you're literally playing into Ganondorf's hands for the entire game. Yes, you break the curse of the Great Deku Tree, save the Gorons from starvation, cure the Zora's guardian of its parasite, and then later on, rescue the Sages. None of Link's heroic acts put a dent in Ganondorf's plan until the final battle. His only downfall was the Triforce splitting, and of course, theoretically losing to Link. In short, Ganon laid his plans out perfectly. Whenever you defeat Phantom Ganon, he specifically says "when you fight the real me, it won't be so easy." That basically means he's watching you the entire time, and was fully aware you would survive and rescue all of the Sages. When Sheik turns back into Zelda, Ganondorf immediately captures her and says "I knew you would appear if I let this kid (Link) wander around." He does admit to slightly underestimating the power of the Triforce of Courage, but still, despite Link's efforts before reaching Ganon's Tower, Ganondorf isn't phased one bit, patiently awaiting Link's arrival in his castle to take his piece of the Triforce. Like I said before, Ganondorf laid his plans out perfectly, all he literally had to do after he got the Triforce of Power was wait, and then defeat Link. Don't get me wrong, the Hero of Time is a legendary hero, he fought with everything he had in a most epic clash with Ganondorf, but I'm pretty sure Link actually lost that battle. Despite his defeat, he's still a hero who saved Hyrule from evil, because thanks to his efforts before the final battle, the Sages were still able to seal Ganon away even though he completed the Triforce. Hyrule suffered quite a bit for a good while, but eventually the next hero (Hero of Legend) took Ganon down. Though it's a theory in my opinion, the Child and Adult Timelines are scenarios that took place IF the Hero of Time was victorious.
The fado name is probably like link, zelda, gerudo males being named G something in honor of their ancestor Groose, malon etc. honoring ancestors by naming you child after them or even just full traditional like naming the third (or whichever one it was I heard it a long time ago and it was supposed to be connected with honoring the royal Falcon)child of the Pharaoh Falke.
Yay, a video I can watch! I deliberately ignored your Elden Ring videos since I want to play that game at some point and I'm trying not to spoil it for myself. Thanks for the update Bandit, I'm here for whatever content you might churn out, especially if you give Banditplays some love again as well.
I prefer the theory that the "Downfall timeline" is actually the "abandoned timeline" the one from the very start of the OoT, with the "childhood timeline" being created after Link gets sent back after Ganon's defeat
that idea never seems to sit right with me, because the "abandoned timeline" would just be the past of the Adult Timeline. However, I have seen a theory online that has a different idea that I like fairly well. The idea is that instead of going to the Sacred Realm for 7 years, Link grabs the master sword and immediately fights Ganon. But he's too weak and ends up dying. Zelda sends a message back in time to Rauru, with the solution to seal Link away until he's strong enough. This ends up becoming the child timeline we play through. The Fallen Timeline would be an unseen previous timeline where Link was never sealed away. There are probably flaws that I'm not aware of, but imo it's a great way to have all 3 timelines co-exist without claiming one of them can't happen without Link's death in the Adult Timeline.
To add a bit to the second discovery, the old hero is called the Ancient Hero, and was shown in a manga with Hylia and a loftwing, as well as the forging of the Master Sword. This was supposed to be a teaser/addition to Skyward Sword.
like seriously , there is so much lore about down fall time line's early zelda games despite how under rated that time line is , that make me wonder why zelda games story events from games before the release of ocarina of time in 1998 were ignored by zelda team that it resulted in what we know as wind waker and twilight princess , or that a link to the past was the game that laid out the foundation and not ocarina of time , or that ocarina of time is a prequel to a link to the past events in which ganon broke out thanks to aganhim , which had been ignored from the developers with wind waker with ganon breaking out by him self , you can't make so much lore and ignore it from the get go in new games , pretty much resulting in the time line split that a lot people find it stupid well it's not actually that bad , as it at least help keeping events from very early games canon , down fall time line zelda games deserve more respect for laiding out many important elements for game play and lore
6:44 *"Since Kokiri are immortal and don't die of old age."* According to -Eiji Aonuma- Shigeru Miyamoto, Kokiri *do* die of old age. Yes, throughout their entire life, they do look and act like children, however, when a Kokiri dies of old age, they simply fade from existence similar to Yoda in Return of the Jedi, only they are still energetic like children instead of being weekly in bed like other people. Typically, Kokiri on their "death bed" will move into the Lost Woods, away from the Kokiri Forest so their friends won't see them die. Once a Kokiri dies, another is born in their place, giving credit to the theory that Fade from Wind Waker is a reincarnation of Fado from Ocarina of Time considering, as an Adult, Fado is only found in the Lost Woods without any other purpose being there unlike Saria and Mido. Other than that nitpick, thank you for making the video.
Huh. I can’t find that information anywhere, but of course if that’s true then it changes my understanding of the Kokiri/Korok/Forest race. If you know where I can find that quote from Aonuma, I’m greatly interested in reading his entire statement.
@@BanditGames It's been years since I've seen that quote tbh. Oh looks like I just found one. First, I must correct myself. The quote is not from Eiji Aonuma but from Shigeru Miyamoto. Here's the quote: *"Link is a child of a race of elves called 'Kokiri.' For some reason or another, there are no parents in this race, only many children of the same age. All of a sudden, they grow up until they reach a certain age, when they disappear. The next generation is born just as abruptly. So at some point, Link will disappear."* Of course, we know now that Link isn't a Kokiri.
Really good video! I particularly liked your Fado theory 😊 However, I feel "... Gender fluid or [transgender]" would have been a better wording. Some folks may find the word you used a bit jarring. With that note, head cannon accepted! Fado gets added to the list ❤️ Keep up the great work! I've been looking forward to each new video 😊
Also wanting to add: some people actually identify with the term "transsexual", especially older trans people, but overall it is not well perceived when cis people use it, as it is reminiscent of the psychiatrisation of transidentity, and can enhance the preexisting general confusion about the differences between gender, sex and sexual orientation. Also, not all trans people need to "change sex" to feel good in their body, to put it very shortly. Hope that clears things for some people, if needed!
I actually have a theory about the lack if Gerudo males. I think it’s because Ganondorf is still alive and sealed away. Correct me if im wrong but i think it was stated somewhere that only one male gerudo can exist at a time? Its also a very deliberate choice because link was asleep for 100 years so logically there SHOULD be a male gerudo baby. I also dont think theres any reason they wouldn’t let the male stay and be the king/leader of the gerudo because that’s basically tradition. So essentially i think no male gerudos are being born because ganondorf is still around
There is only one Male born to the Gerudo every hundred years. This was stated in OoT. It's then stated that a new Male had not been born since the Ganondorf that became the Calamity Ganon. As seen in the trailer for Tears of the Kingdom, that Ganondorf may not be dead, and his sealing keeps a new Gerudo Male from being born.
Bandit, we all have to drop our masks some day. It's good to see that dropping yours hasn't broken you. I'm glad you're branching out, even though I tend to only play Zelda games mostly. Who knows, I might even find another game I need to devote an unhealthy amount of time to while following your journey.
The Fado theory is pretty weak. Why could it not be that someone else is called Fado as well? It is extremely common for cultures to reuse names for many people. So it makes perfect sense for the Kokiri to have multiple Midos, Sarias, Fados, etc over a span of multiple generations.
The Downfall timeline is a universe in which the Hero of Time fell; we don't know that the Hero of Time falling is what CAUSED that timeline to exist. Since OoT was originally built as a prequel to ALTTP (a Downfall game), it's more likely that Downfall is the original timeline, and something else happened offscreen that allowed the more successful timelines to take place.
Love that you’re talking about whatever you want! Personally, it exposes more games I probably wouldn’t usually be interested in. Subbed for Zelda but staying for all the gaming discussions/theories. Keep doing you!
When you spoke about ganondorf being a hero it just occured to me that there is a *dark link* which made me believe that yes ganon was a hero in that time line.
Wait... so is ganondorf also a reincarnating spirit or not? I thought that every gerudo male born was actually an incarnation of ganon/ganondorf/demise. That's why in BOTW there's no mention of a gerudo male being born cus the current one is still alive in the castle
Just wanna say, Ive watched you on and off for years, and just now realized u rebranded, and thought I mostly watch the zelda content, I totally respect the branchout, and I think it was the best decesion you couldve made, Keep up the great work man!
never liked the whole "multiverse" idea behind the fallen timeline. I always figured the split in the other timelines had some sort of kick back that also spawned this fallen hero timeline. also, just because zelda says its not the same sail cloth doesn't mean it isn't. remember, she doesnt remember her past as hylia.
Frankly Bandit, I'm just glad that you didn't sell out like so many others do when they rebrand. You can cover whatever you want and I'll still watch it. Again, thank you so much for not selling out just because it's more profitable.
Thank you for those last minutes. I forgot what the video was about, you rock as a person, it's not just the voice and face, THANK YOU for filling my cup in Zelda theories and so much more I couldn't remember. TH-camrs are friends too. Do what makes u happy Bandit. Saludos!
Bandit, I am so happy that you finally feel like you can do whatever you want. Be the content creator you want to be. People will see that, and watch your content. It may not be the people here now, but that's okay. I, for one, will watch your other vids once I actually play those games 😆
I for one am ecstatic to see you jump into whatever topic tickles your fancy. I love Zelda and am here for it but I can not be happier to see your channel evolve and grow :D
I’ve always enjoyed your Zelda content but I have been enjoying your other content as well. Especially, Elden Ring. No doubt when BotW2 comes out, you’re going to be all over that. :)
Hey Bandit! Even if I followed your channel for your Zelda theories, I've really enjoyed the way you've broadened your horizons in terms of your content and I look forward to seeing what other games and topics you decide to cover. You're probably my favorite gaming lore TH-camr :)
This was a cool video. And thank you for the "mini ramble." That was a great monologue to set the vision for the channel and what we can expect on this journey with you. God bless!
In the case of the garudo who's to say they don't commit infincide ? Maybe now whenever a male is born they do like what Sparta ACTUALLY HISTORICALLY DID to babies seen as weak and left it out in the wilderness...... But my personal headcanon is because of magical incarnation nonsense that we all know is in the series that another one can't be born until gannondorf actually dies
@@ashjose7973 Not directly, anyway. You can always imply it. Like they do with a lot of the more horrific things in Zelda, especially Majora’s Mask. The first theory is cool if the games were a little more grounded. But I also agree that the most likely reason Gerudo’s are 100% female (except Ganondorf) is just “magic.” Same reason why Goron’s are born from rocks and 100% male.
Ummm.... He doesn't get the "Master Sword" in the original title. It's the magical sword, which i believe to be the Master sword that no longer holds the spirit of Fi. The spirit of Fi i believe dwells in silver arrows which is why they are mandatory to defeat Gannon at the end. How did this happen? Whose grave does the Magical sword reside in? Let's figure this riddle out.
Nintendo needs to make a game of the very beginning. How the master sword was Crafted. How the hero developed into a hero. How the world evolved around them. This could be the Ultimate game and the very start of all the games.
So a little detail that changes the first point. At the end of LttP Link wishes on the Triforce to undo all the evil "Ganon" has done. In this time line between OoT and LttP Ganon appears at the end of OoT and is then sealed away. He never dies. So LttP link's wish creates the other time lines where OoT link is no longer allowed to lose the final battle. Then he continues in his own timeline.
I've been a huge Zelda fan since 2006 so even though I knew all of these things I'm very glad to hear you talk about them because these are all the kind of things that no one knows about
ohoho that Skyward Sword previous Link makes me so excited for BotW 2. I had a theory that BotW 2 might have some time-breaking themes (and might even be called Breaking Time, what with LoZ’s previous time-related titles); Link’s sort of caveman armor in the new trailers plus the sky islands might be related to SS’s islands and might even have prequel-like elements, maybe with him getting thrown across different timelines and points in time which somehow help him save Zelda/Hyrule in BotW 2. so many possibilities! and Bandit, we will be here no matter what you want to do with your channel. I’m glad to have stuck with you for so long, and I can’t wait to see what other games you cover, including Elden Ring and FNAF. also, the cut is fresh. pet Ganon for us :)
I really like that you make content for other francises as well. The only reason why I don't watch the Elden Ring videos is because I have yet to play this game.
I really dug the video, facts and theories both! I do wanna say though to be careful of your use of the word "transexual" - there's a cultural shift towards using the term "transgender" instead, as a person's gender identity is wholly different than their sexuality. Not trying to dog on you or the video, as people are always learning and growing, but just wanted to bring that to attention. Thank you for the video and I look forward to more!
Hot take: the reason that Zelda Prime can't give the Hero of the Sky the original sailcloth, the reason that there is no extant sailcloth relic being passed down, is because Link brings it to the present with him when he travels back and forth in time!
At this point I feel like I have been part of the Zelda community for too long because I knew of every single thing on this list And I know that 11 years doesn't seem that much for a franchise that is over 30 years old at this point, but to 19 year old me I think I can say that I have been part of this community for a while now
Comments on some points: III - In Wind Waker, we see the koroks spreading seeds of the Great Deku Tree. Maybe some of those seeds, if far enough, instead of being extensions of the parent, become fully realized guardian great trees. VII - Fused shadow. Shadow temple. A splinter group serving evil. The Twili and the Sheika have a lot in common. Too much in common.
One possibility to the end of Demise’s curse, could possibly be the death (or removal) of Hylia’s bloodline/essence in the bloodline, and the end on the Spirit of the Hero’s reincarnation. As Demise’s curse is set to follow those two, only the total and complete death of both could end it. Could be interesting if Gannondorf broke free of Demise’s curse and having been a part of it for so long knows the solution to end it and then fights against Link and Zelda, not to rule over Hyrule, but to end the curse. Would be a major twist if the final “Legend of Zelda” game actually had you playing as Gannondorf to defeat Zelda and Link, ending the curse. Could also expose any dark secrets of Hyrule. Also gives Gannondorf a bit of a redemption arc.
A good chunk of this list I did not know about, despite how long I've been a Zelda fan. And I've been a fan of the Zelda games for a very long time now infact. Good on you Bandit for finding stuff I surprisingly did not know beforehand

Awesome video
@@darthseverus89 Dude are u dumb we already know he will come back to Zelda contact
How dare you break my illusion of games not being the real world.
Hmmmm?
Its still real to me dammit.
I've known nothing other than playing games... they literally became my reality lol.
Hehe, Lol.
Same thing with the Song of Storm in OoT 🤔
Thank you for giving clarity on the subject. That first "intriguing lore discovery" made me slightly annoyed as a Skyward Sword superfan.
@Kissalude I don’t remember when she had sisters lol
@Kissalude No they weren't. the seven maidens were descendants of the seven sages. As far as we know the sages were not related, but even if they were, that doesn't make the maidens sisters since each maiden is descended from a different sage.
Wouldn't that make the Zelda that Link awakened the new queen (save for if the current rulers (minus her descendant Zelda)? If you think about it, with everything that happened in Zelda 1, they didn't say anything about the current king/queen that was around. But then again, THAT Zelda could just take an advisory role for the current Zelda so the same thing doesn't happen to her.
@@LunaP1 if I'm not mistaken, king Harkinian was the active ruler during zelda 1 and 2.
Which Zelda game is your absolute, all-time favorite?
Twilight Princess, hands down, no question 😂
BOTW!
Link to the past, my first love! Closely followed by the minish cap.
Links Awakening
Majora's mask
Fado's (WW) name in Japanes is actually Fodo, meaning that Fado (OoT) is not the same as the Fado (WW).
But still, he says he was a friend of the legendary hero; aka, the Hero of Time. We never saw a "Fodo" in Ocarina. Not only that, but the Kokiri never even knew about Link being a warrior
I guess this could just be something that happened in between games and wasn't shown, but it seems like more of a ret-con

I’ve also got a correction: while it’s true that the Oracle Series don’t have Ganon _separately_ in either quest, he is actually the final boss of the combined quest story (which is the canon form of that installment)
Guess what _else_ is unique to the combined Oracle games but not in the separate stories?
_The Master Sword_
That’s the correction, it’s the real deal Master Sword in those two games because he fights the real deal Ganon in those two games, too
Zeltik, Monster Maze, and now Bandit?? Wtf man I need to catch up on my school
Lmao same
For the Gerudo males thing, my theory is: If it is true that the figure we see in the BOTW 2 trailer is Ganondorf. Then maybe for a Gerudo male to be born, the last one has to die first. If that figure is Ganondorf, then since he isn't actually "dead" and in a "stasis" a new male can't be born. Explaining why there are no males and males haven't been born in a long time. Just my theory.
Except the one in disguise at the oasis in cross dress
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Oooh. Great theory.
(I hope I wasn't too confusing, my written grammar is rather poor.)
yeah Temporal paradoxes be funny like that. ancient relics... may not have been created yet.
I like the idea that Fado appears similar to link as an homage to their friendship :)) that’s a great theory
Hey man, you do you and never stop! Your real fans will stick around and if something you cover isn’t their kind of thing, we’ll just respectfully wait until you upload something new that we’ll dive straight into ❤️
Bandit with the fresh cut 😄😄😄
I've always thought with the downfall timeline, that it was a result of one of times you returned the master sword in oot to go back in time, and in doing so, created a new branch where an ill equipped link had to face ganondorf, or simply couldn't reach him
Story wise Link does have to go back to the child timeline once: to go through the Spirit Temple as a kid. So you might be onto something.
There's one small issue with that idea. If Link was creating a new timeline branch every time he returned the Master Sword, then he would be entering an entirely new future free of his influence after pulling it again. But instead, the results of all of his actions in the future are preserved, suggesting that he is still within the same timeline as always.
I want to say two things:
Nice to see some Zelda again, but also:
It’s been great to see all the other series and videos you’ve been doing too!
8:37
Wow, there were three Zelda’s, because the two that were there and the light dragon(totk)
Fado from Wind Waker is called Fodo in the original version of the game, so they aren't the same person.
It just seems like that makes the most sense for a split and how it would come about, and is also a proper explanation for why they pull Link away and let him age, they already knew he'd lose.
mr bandit games, i really miss your zelda content pluss your about to hit 200k subs congratulations😀🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
The context that Ganon is still alive makes soooooo much sense on why there has been no male gerudos for a long time.
18:33 that was also before she knew of her destiny and that she was even hylia
So wait, if Hylia’s original hero hasn’t been seen yet… what if that hero is the green hand helping Link and granting him new powers in Tears of the Kingdom????? 👀
Demise says he's never met a human like Link before, which suggests there wasn't really a hero before him.
I'd love to play as the Goddess' Chosen Hero one day. I want to see his beginnings, why he is so virtuous and brave, and how Hylia came to know him
4:48
In fact, Hylia's Chosen Hero is not the only Hero we have yet to see.
I have 2 reasons for this:
One, the first 4 games were of the Fallen Timeline.
Nice hair cut it looks good!
Why thank you! It’s uh, a bit shorter than I wanted 😂 but it’s growing on me
The fado name is probably like link, zelda, gerudo males being named G something in honor of their ancestor Groose, malon etc. honoring ancestors by naming you child after them or even just full traditional like naming the third (or whichever one it was I heard it a long time ago and it was supposed to be connected with honoring the royal Falcon)child of the Pharaoh Falke.
This was supposed to be a teaser/addition to Skyward Sword.
like seriously , there is so much lore about down fall time line's early zelda games despite how under rated that time line is , that make me wonder why zelda games story events from games before the release of ocarina of time in 1998 were ignored by zelda team that it resulted in what we know as wind waker and twilight princess , or that a link to the past was the game that laid out the foundation and not ocarina of time , or that ocarina of time is a prequel to a link to the past events in which ganon broke out thanks to aganhim , which had been ignored from the developers with wind waker with ganon breaking out by him self , you can't make so much lore and ignore it from the get go in new games , pretty much resulting in the time line split that a lot people find it stupid well it's not actually that bad , as it at least help keeping events from very early games canon , down fall time line zelda games deserve more respect for laiding out many important elements for game play and lore
wtf are you talking about? Also the official timeline is great.
Good for you man i enjoy all of your content keep growing and making content that makes you happy too.
6:44 *"Since Kokiri are immortal and don't die of old age."*
According to -Eiji Aonuma- Shigeru Miyamoto, Kokiri *do* die of old age.
So at some point, Link will disappear."*
Of course, we know now that Link isn't a Kokiri.
1:01 I like ya cut g!
Really good video! I particularly liked your Fado theory 😊
However, I feel "... Gender fluid or [transgender]" would have been a better wording. Some folks may find the word you used a bit jarring.
With that note, head cannon accepted! Fado gets added to the list ❤️
Keep up the great work! I've been looking forward to each new video 😊
Been wanting to point that out too, so I'm signal boosting your pre existing comment. Thank you!
boosting; transsexual is a very outdated term. should've been transgender.
Glad to see a new Zelda video!! And I’m loving the haircut!
Love you Bandit! I'm still very excited to see you grow and continue to have fun.
I appreciate that you're still doing zelda stuff. The world is your oyster! Do whatever makes you happy! 😊
So that means we need to save Marin from being trapped as a seagull forever !
I think fado is a common name in the kokiri
He also just uses evidence from non japanese sources. I'm starting to regret being brought here by Zeltiik.
The two Zelda’s could definitely help theories for botw
Love that you’re talking about whatever you want! Personally, it exposes more games I probably wouldn’t usually be interested in. Subbed for Zelda but staying for all the gaming discussions/theories. Keep doing you!
When you spoke about ganondorf being a hero it just occured to me that there is a *dark link* which made me believe that yes ganon was a hero in that time line.
Awesome video like always! Also (dog) Ganon is adorable!!
Wait... so is ganondorf also a reincarnating spirit or not? I thought that every gerudo male born was actually an incarnation of ganon/ganondorf/demise. That's why in BOTW there's no mention of a gerudo male being born cus the current one is still alive in the castle
Man, I watch your Elden Ring videos even though I haven't played the game. They make basically no sense to me, but support is support!

never liked the whole "multiverse" idea behind the fallen timeline. I always figured the split in the other timelines had some sort of kick back that also spawned this fallen hero timeline.

Nintendo probably wouldn't put infanticide in their games
But you're headcanon is very plausible
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight my G. You turned the model around to inspect the 'helmet'.
THANK YOU! You are the first one to state the two Zelda theory. I've been saying that for years but nobody else talks about it.
I didn’t even watch the whole video. I just paused at the ad, and bought the glasses. Now I need to finish it. I need these!
To be honest, I really am loving the Elden Ring backstory videos. So good!
Thanks for the glasses Bandit, hope my purchase helps you out. Maybe this will help me get rid of my headaches and dry eyes.
Hot take: the reason that Zelda Prime can't give the Hero of the Sky the original sailcloth, the reason that there is no extant sailcloth relic being passed down, is because Link brings it to the present with him when he travels back and forth in time!
At this point I feel like I have been part of the Zelda community for too long because I knew of every single thing on this list
And I know that 11 years doesn't seem that much for a franchise that is over 30 years old at this point, but to 19 year old me I think I can say that I have been part of this community for a while now
Comments on some points:
III - In Wind Waker, we see the koroks spreading seeds of the Great Deku Tree.
Yo! Bandit got a fresh cut, like Link, Zelda, and the Master Sword.
A good chunk of this list I did not know about, despite how long I've been a Zelda fan. And I've been a fan of the Zelda games for a very long time now infact. Good on you Bandit for finding stuff I surprisingly did not know beforehand
