This is everything good about flyfishing. The beauty and zen of it. The quiet and serenity. Just to hear nothing else but the splashing when you hook a fish. Incredible videos thank you
Ive spent decades searching for out of the way western trout streams and I have to say you are the master. I watch and enjoy all your videos. Great content that's not cluttered with unnecessary talking. So many awesome locations in your book of explorations. Its great inspiration and frequent substitute for my general inability to get out there myself but I did manage to bring my young boys over from Bali Indonesia this last summer and taught them to fish in Wyoming. Great memories were made and several new locations explored. Hoping to pass on my love for angling and the outdoors and looking forward to getting back out there.
Looks like it was, and pretty much just you! That's a heck of a trip and way worth the drive! Stoked for you!!! Get one for me tomorrow! If you are still there😉
Hi Drew that is amazing river for dries flies and nymphs. Also beautiful trouts colours and good size . I also want to enjoy that river is super beautiful valley and water ..
Awesome cutthtroats - found some big ones! You handled that crossing well; slow speed, low gear and angling downstream so the current helps you. And you aimed for a shallow bank.
Reminds me of Pelican Creek in Yellowstone except no white fish. Sure brings back lots of memories from when I lived in central Wyoming. You're living the life man. Good for you!
Those were some great looking Cutties Drew! When I dream about fishing Wyoming and the east range, this is the kind of stream I think about. Great video as always.
I love this! Now I want to pack up and drive out west to do some fishing for 9 weeks. Are you retired? Were you between jobs? Self-employed? How were you able to take 9 consecutive weeks off to fish?
I know you have talked about setting up for your trip and generally your sourcing on where to go but I don't believe you have ever mentioned ONX hunt or ONX offroad. Living in Montana I find it to be my greatest resource for exploring where I might want to go. It will make you throw away all your forest service and google maps. Hands down the best money I spend every year. Plus you can get 1 state or for a little more all the states.
It would be great to know the dates of when you were on this river. I do know where it is, so I was wondering about the bridge being out. Were you able to ford the stream at the bridge or did you have to go all the way around to get to the area you were in. I also wonder when or if they will fix the bridge. Thanks! You do some great videos. Going for the Cutt Slam?
Drew your videos make me want to move back to Gardiner Montana. I was out there when the mines finally were shut down so the rivers needed time to revive. Amazing the size of fish being caught 30 years later. My question you, is what brand, and lens color were you wearing today? I couldn't make them out. Good luck on your next adventures. Fish on! Lori
Rad spot. With some fish seemingly lethargic on the release, do you reckon it’s water temperature that’s high that’s making them sluggish? Or was the water super cold?
Drew, I got back into fishing because of your adventures. I just made my first video of my fishing adventures in 2022. Check out Tenkara Retiree. Stay safe out there! 👍
Envy, envy, envy, envy, envy, envy, envy, envy, envy, envy !!!!!!! Wow, can't ask for better.
Haha I hear ya!

You have the most beautiful mend Drew! I could watch you catch fish all day.
Super mister,big trouts,nice stream.

Hey greeting from Utah another fellow indonesian
Always nice when a spot I've never seen turns of to be this awesome! Keeps me motivated to keep adventuring!
That looks just like the trout stream in my dreams. Dang !
I like it when you tell us about the flies that you are using. The trout are amazing! I enjoy your show.
Good stuff and beautiful country. The best part is no fricken crowd. You got my heart racing.
Not the easiest stream to get to but well worth the effort!
Incredible scenery and very healthy fish. Great combination. Thanks for sharing.
Love the truck camping series Drew - so good! Amazing river and some gorgeous Cutts!
Thanks Dan! I Definitely had a fun trip and already starting to plan the next!
That was a hell of a drive through that river Drew! 😉
Truck getting me to the special spots!
Another Dandy Drew. Thanks and the smile on your face says it all. Stay safe and I'll look for ya on the water!
sleepy bonnevilles. they seem delicate. a willow switch and 5x tied direct to the tip for fun. real pretty little streams.
Que genial 😮. Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
What a beautiful spot you found!! I'm a very jealous man after watching this video, thank you for sharing!!
Definitely one of the coolest spots I've seen!
Amazing scenery..some cool fish too . Thx 4 sharing your adventure...🌵🌾🤠🌲
Those magic days only come so often. Loved to see your stoke after a day of good fishing, taking in the river from camp. Magic.
It was an amazing day...glad that showed!
It looks like your over on the dry side of the Wyoming range. Some of my favorite creek fishing with some surprisingly big cutts.
Absolutely awesome! I envy you my friend! 😎
Beautiful, I could live there forever
Beautiful fish! and the best camping spot on earth 😎✌🏼
Truth!
Glad you finally figured them out! Nice area and river! Looking forward to next day video!
Fun challenge for sure!
You are living right thanks !,
Livin’ large sir!
Trying hard to for sure!
what amazingly beautiful fish!!!
Super fun day!
Looks like it was, and pretty much just you!

Stoked for you!!!

Hi Drew that is amazing river for dries flies and nymphs. Also beautiful trouts colours and good size . I also want to enjoy that river is super beautiful valley and water ..
Was definitely one of the coolest places I've been!
Mostly I like the small streams with browns which you are fishing in Colorado...
Lol, boots on before waders? Excitement got ya, as it does to all of us
That creek/river has some big ole cutthroat!!!
Wow thats pretty country...Nice fish too
Thank u!
Thanks Drew. Beautiful country. Wish I was there.
11:45 that fish was chrome! great video as always Drew👏
Thank u much!
So cool drew. Instead of a trophy fish, you also have a trophy view. Tight lines. 👍
I'll take a trophy view everyday!
Spectacular indeed!
Perfect spot
So true!
I wanna look for the little house on the prairie while watching 😂
Great to see this, Drew. Amazing stuff.
Undercut banks, cutts and a killer waterside campsite doesn’t get much better! Awesome video Drew! 🎣
Nice size Trout
Beautiful area
What a reward for tough scouting. You really earned those fish especially dodging whitefish. Good tips there. Thanks Drew
Dodging whitefish became a thing over the length of the trip lol!
Camped there on a trip this summer. Nailed a 20 inch brown on the dry at the hole above it. Awesome spot for sure
What state is this?
Awesome cutthtroats - found some big ones! You handled that crossing well; slow speed, low gear and angling downstream so the current helps you. And you aimed for a shallow bank.
Loved every bit of it.
Thank you Jim!
Great video, beautiful stream!!!!
Stream is amazing!
0:02 That's why Long Horns used to be bolted to the hoods of cars in the 70's
Haha those whitefish seem to hang out in schools. Whenever I catch my first I know there will be a few more shortly after.
That's so true. I never catch just one lol!
I really enjoy your videos. Glad you are uploading again. All the best.
Looks so much like the upper GV near Jackson
No bonneviles there though
Very nice. That stream crossing gave me some anxiety, lol.
Reminds me of Pelican Creek in Yellowstone except no white fish. Sure brings back lots of memories from when I lived in central Wyoming. You're living the life man. Good for you!
Damn... what a magic place to fish! Love from Italy.
So beautiful! Great video👍
Never caught many whitefish. This is a special place great natural stream
Wow! You bagged some amazing cuties.
Another great video. Don’t forget Montana. 😊
I didn't...the last 2 weeks of this road trip are in MT!
Awesome!!!
Thank u!
Hey Drew.. Amazing Cutth.. what a drive..
Those were some great looking Cutties Drew! When I dream about fishing Wyoming and the east range, this is the kind of stream I think about. Great video as always.
Same here! Wide open spaces and amazing natives!
I am not sure whart river you are fishing but I want to fish it. What a beautiful river and fishery.
Special place for sure!
Great video! Not gonna lie, I was a bit jealous while watching. Blessings from Oregon!
Awesome Dude!!! Wyoming eh??? Looks like heaven. Lunker cutthroat, no overhead snags, big sky... Can you give me a general area on a map? LOL!
I love this! Now I want to pack up and drive out west to do some fishing for 9 weeks. Are you retired? Were you between jobs? Self-employed? How were you able to take 9 consecutive weeks off to fish?
Unbelievable spot
I know that river, water looks low. It’s a trip to get into that area.
Definitely worth the effort!
@@LooknFishy give it some more time. There is bigger fish in there.
Perfect
Awesome fishing, Drew. Tips about your rod length and line control help a bunch. Number 12 hare’s ear has worked for me too.
Great vid like all of them, what type of side arm do you carry in bear country? Thinking of a similar trip, not as long, but similar location.
What a beautiful area! Super weird that you have to drive through the stream to get to some spots! That would freak me out haha
Haha yea some spots take a little more effort.

You should really road trip to Canada next aug for some epic cutty fishing
Loves those forks... and you were blessed with no wind! How were the mosquitos up there?
It would be great to know the dates of when you were on this river. I do know where it is, so I was wondering about the bridge being out. Were you able to ford the stream at the bridge or did you have to go all the way around to get to the area you were in. I also wonder when or if they will fix the bridge. Thanks! Going for the Cutt Slam?
Started my trip July 31!
Drew having the time of his life! Thanks for sharing it! Man that last one was chrome! Do you know what the water temp was there by chance?
Such a good day!
Nice video.
Terrific video as always! Those were beautiful cutties, thanks for sharing. Love the hoodie, what kind is that? Looks like great sun protection
Great footage! Gotta ask though; is it time for a new net? 😅

I have 2 both Costa pro fantail series...one in 580g copper and one in sunrise for low light conditions.
Rad spot. With some fish seemingly lethargic on the release, do you reckon it’s water temperature that’s high that’s making them sluggish? Or was the water super cold?
More of the 5x and 4wt. I prefer to use 4x but they were tippet shy. That fish that took the longest ran me a long way down river.
Hey Drew - love your channel. What rod are you rocking?
Mooooove cow.
@4:10 - thinking of the proper commentary . . . "Oh look a deer, oh crap, another fish!" 🤣
Great stuff, as always!
Haha crap another whitefish!
What sunglasses do you wear? Why?
A stream?
Looked like a river in Wyoming.
That place would be tough to leave.
It definitely was!
Spent many nights at that spot
What was the month? Did you spend 9 weeks in WY, MT and ID?
I started my trip July 31...did roughly 3 weeks each... WY, then ID and ended in MT
Where is it?
Douches’s like Drew will never say 🙄

You should’ve said mooooove. They may have understood you better!
Haha...that would have been perfect!
@@LooknFishy
Great video! It’s always exciting to find big fish in a small river with hardly anyone around!
WHERE IS THAT AT I WANT TO GO THERE
Those beautiful fish really should be caught on a cane rod and dry fly.
Comment
Where is this?
What I don't understand is why people have to share with the world these places? pathetic
Please don’t make TH-cam videos about small streams like this that cannot support an increased number of anglers.
I am going to have to reevaluate my opinion of Wyoming after seeing this moonscape video. That place is plumb ugly! Fishing is good it seems, though.
And that is some of the prettier parts of WY. And I live here!😊
Seriously, all the footage of you driving in is a waste of time.
This kind of stuff is so lame. Just go fishing and leave your frickin go pro behind.
Some people actually use it as a source of income to perpetuate their passions, so that in itself is not lame
people like you are so lame.
@@sbrown8307 Oh I think that’s 10000000x more lame! Like extremely extremely lame.
