- A short sample of Andy Serkis' Silmarillion aubio book, scored by me.

Andy Serkis recently released a sample of his narration of The Silmarillion that's releasing next week. I decided to score it, in a fashion inspired by Howard Shore. Made in MuseScore 4.
Thanks for watching!
is it out now?
@@boredguy1297 Yep!
I can't wait to hear more of this!! Tolkien nerds of the world unite!!!
Can't wait to hear more of this!
This sent chills down my spine!!! Definitely going to use it as an accompaniment to my next read of the Silmarillion
Omg. It’s audio chocolate for my ears
Great writing, really enjoyed this one!
Not quite as elaborate as your stuff, but I'm still quite new at this XD
@@monoverantus I think Musesounds really shines in this example! But it's also because your orchestration is on point. Please make more of these!
Can't wait for this!
Incredible
beautiful
Beautiful🔮🧚🏻♀️🍄🌿🌌, ohhhhhh thankyou, merci beaucoup✨⚔️
Wooooooo I need this!!!
perfect
Silmarillion audiobook? Fuck yeah, I need my mythical history textbook to make car drives better please and thank you.
NICE
I still prefer Martin Shaw's version. 😅 There's something about his cadence and pace that makes it perfect for this style of writing. It's almost like poetry. Andy Serkis' is better suited to LOTR trilogy and The Hobbit.
I've yet to listen to either, but I've heard that you're not alone. I figure it's fun to hear Andy redo his Gollum voice in The Hobbit and LotR X D
Nice work Monoverantus! Which Sound Library and DAW do you use for that?
This is just made in MuseScore 4 and their standard Muse Sounds. I've spend the last half year getting used to it after years of Finale (which isn't very good)
@@monoverantus Ahh Finale is awful in my opinion haha. Never got used to it. I used Sibelius for many years but i got a little tired of its bugs and interface. I've switched to MuseScore and then Dorico, which is the top software and interface for it, although Muse4 is doing incredibly nice and is a good alternative. I would say Sibelius is 3rd place now.
So are you working on Silmarillion leitmotifs?
Hehe, not really. There's only been two short clips released, so I'm just trying to catch the right mood.
