They ran into Ghidorah exactly a minute after he said "ETA to Monster Zero: 60 seconds" and the other two were perfectly timed as well.
Add a 1000 sins for Emma having any sort of redemption arc (her sacrificing herself to save her family). She was responsible for launching a plan that would knowingly kill billions of people and even though her plan wasn't a total success she still killed millions. She is pretty much the most evil person ever to exist yet the movie just glosses over it at the end.
Her logic to her daughter was that humans have been dominant for a long time and we’ve started wars and done climate change so I unleashed a fucking dragon to level several cities

The only additional content I liked was the people that were actually monitoring things and working to help Godzilla, as it was more relevant to the plot than "WOE IS ME MY DAD'S A DICK'. I signed up for a mega monster fight. If I had known it came with a side of Advanced Miscommunication, Broken Marriage, Sassy Rebel Child and Pointless Character Interaction, I would've waited for someone to go ahead and cut down the movie to where it was only the fighting. I rewatched the first movie and the final fight with the MUTOs was almost a continuous section of ass kicking. If every fight was like that, then yes, king of the monsters would be an awesome film. Rodan still being alive at the end actually makes perfects sense 1. mothra stabbed him through the shoulder not in a lethal spot and her stinger looks more like a paralysis move rather then a lethal move 2. when rodan fell of the building in the wide shot we see the building is actually pretty small like me falling of my chair 3, rodan is a giant flaming pteranadon who lives in Magma i doubt Godzilla's meltdown would kill him
The last one... idk. His atomic blasts turned Ghidorah to ash and he was a heap stronger than Rodan, ko'd him pretty casually with lightning breath. I suppose he could survive, I'm pretty surprised he wasnt really badly fked up though.

The trailers ruined this movie. It left no surprises. It should have never shown Burning Godzilla in the trailers. GvsK trailer better just show a quick fight scene and that's it. I dont want to see Mechagodzilla leave it for the surprise factor.

Well actually... nuclear meltdown happens when temperature reach 2000+ Celsius. It can go as high as 2800C which is like 5000F. Sice Godzile was pumped... I would guess even higher :) Anyway... temperature in volcano is about 1500Celsius. So about half that. And remember tolerance to heat is not linear. You can be fine at one level, but few degrees more and you are on critical organ failure. So Godzilla producing more then double the temperature Rodan is used to should MELT HIM DOWN. Even more so, the heat is not the only thing Godzilla is producing!
By the 3rd act I was so fed up wirh them I just kept skipping everything that even involved humans talking. This should be called "blue balls the movie"
1. Yes, actually, after death Mothra canonically turns back into an egg to be reborn at a later date. 2. Rodan falls away from Mothra because her stinger paralyzes things. Pretty much always has.
Btw I'm pretty sure this is the first time that Mothra has a stinger and Mothra never turns into and egg. She lays one and then ends up being reborn using that egg. So technically, she is her own offspring.

To explain some mothra confusion: Mothra is characterized as ALWAYS on the side of good, even when Godzilla isn’t. Her and Rodan have fought Godzilla, all three have fought Ghidorrah, and more. The thing about her is that she’s immortal, and is reborn every time she dies. When mothra comes directly out of hibernation she needs to morph into her moth form, because she sleeps as a moth caterpillar thing.

My problem with this movie is that they never explain the radiation. Sometimes it’s so lethal it’ll blow up like a hydrogen bomb but it’s not lethal enough that it gives the characters massive radiation burns.
Wasn't it explained in the first one that Godzilla absorbs the "bad" radiation and its byproduct is the "good" radiation? I don't know, maybe I just wishful thinking.
The film didn't explain it but it's not entirely wrong. Chernobyl for instance has been left behind by humans due to radioactive presence and ever since wildlife was left to reclaim the area. Papers on whether it's better or worse than before seem to be debatable, but both do agree that humans being pushed out initially is helpful to the ecosystem.

Like I said, Kong has no backstory about Mothra, but then told Godzilla what he saw about Mothra. But then Rodan will jump to Godzilla saying, "She's alive! Please! Spare him, he knows where she is!"
One thing I did notice when watching this is they had Mark studying wolves in Colorado even when there are no wild wolves in the state. And yes, in a movie about giant monsters that was the thing that bugged me.

1. mothra stabbed him through the shoulder not in a lethal spot and her stinger looks more like a paralysis move rather then a lethal move
2. when rodan fell of the building in the wide shot we see the building is actually pretty small like me falling of my chair
3, rodan is a giant flaming pteranadon who lives in Magma i doubt Godzilla's meltdown would kill him

edit: so i looked it up, he's standing on a underwater mountain, those are common is the pacific ocean, so the chance that a hollow earth tunnel is next to a sea mountain is very high.

Well actually... nuclear meltdown happens when temperature reach 2000+ Celsius. It can go as high as 2800C which is like 5000F. Sice Godzile was pumped... I would guess even higher :)
Anyway... temperature in volcano is about 1500Celsius. So about half that. And remember tolerance to heat is not linear. You can be fine at one level, but few degrees more and you are on critical organ failure. So Godzilla producing more then double the temperature Rodan is used to should MELT HIM DOWN.
Even more so, the heat is not the only thing Godzilla is producing!

To explain some mothra confusion: Mothra is characterized as ALWAYS on the side of good, even when Godzilla isn’t. Her and Rodan have fought Godzilla, all three have fought Ghidorrah, and more. The thing about her is that she’s immortal, and is reborn every time she dies. When mothra comes directly out of hibernation she needs to morph into her moth form, because she sleeps as a moth caterpillar thing.
And she's always born from an egg at least twice the size of the current Mothra....which kind of explains why she keeps dying.

My problem with this movie is that they never explain the radiation. Sometimes it’s so lethal it’ll blow up like a hydrogen bomb but it’s not lethal enough that it gives the characters massive radiation burns.
And Titan radiation is supposedly supposedly good for the environment somehow. Right, lol.
Wasn't it explained in the first one that Godzilla absorbs the "bad" radiation and its byproduct is the "good" radiation? I don't know, maybe I just wishful thinking.
The film didn't explain it but it's not entirely wrong. Chernobyl for instance has been left behind by humans due to radioactive presence and ever since wildlife was left to reclaim the area.
Papers on whether it's better or worse than before seem to be debatable, but both do agree that humans being pushed out initially is helpful to the ecosystem.
The titans release radiation but it then gets absorbed back into them before it can do damage

@@EastScythe It's the "in universe" implausibility of it, i.e. the way the character had their cute little video presentation prepped to roll alongside their speech. It's a "fourth wall" break, basically, because that presentation was for the audience not the characters.
