I couldn't pick between the two so I bought a 9mm and 40s&w
Variety is the spice of life!
Since you bought the 40 it can be converted into nine mill by simply swapping out the barrel, but the nine mill cannot be converted to the 40 so you sir have two guns in one
That's what I did lol
Facts
@@foxtrot_four7941 too much work swapping out barrels just get both
I'm a 40 guy ! However my edc is usually 9mm but my bedside gun is always my 40 !
Yep same here
Same here.
9mm is typically my edc in the summer. .40 is my edc the rest if the year. And .40 is always my bedside (and rest of the home) gun.
@@Mojo32get a .45.
I carry .40 S&W in the streets , .357 MAG in the sheets.
This is exactly how I am but I have my .45 by my bed
I just carry a bazooka as my sidearm. It's nostalgic and seems to get the job done.
Haha!! It gets messy if you have to use it. 😂
40 all day everyday
Yessir
You pay more money and hunt ammo if you want but I’ll keep my 9mm.
You do realize you’re only talking about 20ft lbs more energy, right?
I’ll ask you the same question as the others
What do you think a 40 can do that a 9mm can’t do?
Nothing
Stay safe
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
cope@@miker258
@@miker258 what???? 20 ftlbs?? more like over 100Ftlbs... 40 is 25-35% more size and energy which is ALOT. Even when you add +p+ ammo it is still weaker than standard .40.. Hyper 9mm +p+ 9mm goes up to 465 Ftlbs which is very powerful, but the .40 goes up to 601Ftlbs which is over 100ftbls more. The difference is big!!!
@@miker25840 is a bigger bullet an jhps expand bigger than a 9mm does so it does more damage 😂 which drops someone quicker than a 9mm
You can put a heavier recoil spring in the 40 to make it feel like a nine
Send a build
I grew up on 40s so they comprise the vast majority of my carry selection
I have both and carry 9mm but my home defense handgun is 40. It was my first hk usp compact 40sw. So I love that gun and caliber.
If it’s your first gun go 9 to learn and shoot cheaper but if you know what you are doing go 40
Right on
.40 S&W for the win 🥇! 155gr -165gr @1100-1200fps with 450-500+ft-Lbs is perfect; and all 180gr ammo is subsonic already. Literally a perfectly balanced round, but I’m biased 😂
I am newer to gun ownership. Tried a lot of guns. Went with a classic. Glock 19 gen 5. It will be my edc. I have put about 500 rounds through it. It shoots smooth, easy to clean, never had it jam. I am a lefty. I get very good shot placement. Tried .40 and .45 a few times. Definitely a 9mm guy.
Can’t go wrong is the most purchased gun ever created.
Get yourself a M&P.40 or Glock 22 with an appropriate 9mm conversion barrel and have both calibers available.
Smart
In the concrete jungles of the Ebony, I carry Springfield XD 40 and 3 loaded mags .
For hiking I like 40. For normal carry, 9
Love them all !!
My personal choices are:
9mm subcompact carry
.40 compact carry
10mm full size carry
40 all day. I get 9 is cheaper, easier to outfit a one size fits all approach for police depts with 9, but im not limited to what a dept can outfit me with. I tested my 40 with 4 different hollow points and found the one it likes best, and i run with it. I also own a pistol in 22, 9, 45, 357/38, and 44 mag. 40 is just my favorite carry round.
shot placement is key and the 9 will get you there better than a 40 will.
@@GoLakers3900not necessarily, it’s all in how much you practice
.40 & 9mm are not that far off in price now days. Also the 9mm might expand BUT the .40 will never shrink
9mm rounds are half the price as .40, sir...
@@yourface3154 not where I live. Not the ammo brand I get. A box of 25 9mm cost the same as the 20 .40 Cal...
I use Hornady Critical Defense and Speer gold dot only... Unless I'm practicing at the range then I use Blazer or federal...
Carry what you like man... I just think for me and a good amount of people the .40 is better... Not everyone but a lot...
I like my XD40 because I can buy a .357 barrel and run .357 SIG through it... I want to get another XD40 so I can have it be .357 always and the one I have now stay .40 S&W.
The Hornady Critical Defense in .40 I get is 165gr @ 1,175 ft/s. That's 500 ft-Lb's. NO 9mm can put that out except .357 SIG and 9×25mm Dillon...
The expansion in those 165gr Hornady's I just mentioned are absolutely insane! I have one that expanded more than the .45 I shot did. It was 0.85"!!! That's double the size as when it left the barrel...
As far as capacity I'm content with 12+1 rounds in the gun. I carry one sometimes 2 back up mags as well. But at minimum I have 1 extra giving me 25 rounds on tap while I'm out and about...
So yeah I get 3 less rounds than the G19 gets but my rounds are a lot more powerful too...
Also it's been proven that out of the commercially available semi
automatic cartridges the .357 SIG and .40 S&W have the most one hit kills.
So, I just can't think of why I would want to switch to 9mm from .40 S&W... I don't shoot 500 rounds a week every week.
I go to the range about 3-4 times a year just to stay sharp... I can afford to shoot .40 since I don't shoot an insane amount.
@@shanescatsandcannabisfarm2965 I have a .40 as well, not a 9mm. But I get my shit off bulkammo, or cheaperthan dirt generally, and there is quite a price difference between the two.
so the 40 isn't much more powerful at all. Actually there's hardly any difference at all. Where's this proof of the one hit kills? Sounds like a made up stat.
@@200130769 Look it up... At the 9mm has 385 ft-Lb's of muzzle energy. The .40S&W has 500 bare minimum....
Idc if you want to carry a little 9mm that MOST people live when they get shot by it.... If you want 9mm get a .357 SIG or carry a 8 round .357 Magnum revolver....
I'll be carrying my XD40 with liberty Civil defense 60gr solid copper projectile going 2,000 ft/s or Hornady Critical Defense 165gr @ 1,175 ft/s...
Where is the proof that it much more powerful? Science.... More weight AND higher velocity equals more kinetic energy.... I can't believe I had to explain that to you...
Even +P 9mm will be 135gr @ 1,175 same velocity yeah but 30gr lighter....
And the heavier you make a 9mm bullet the slower it goes and velocity is a LOT of what equates to kinetic energy...
So like I said carry a 9mm if that's all you can shoot well... Like I said I'm carrying a .40 or .357 SIG.....
I carry .40 because I want a little extra umphf
I own 380acp "Ruger LCP and SW Shield EZ 380", 9MM "Star BM9, Taurus TH9", and 45acp "SW Shield 2.0". Each of these have both their pros and cons, however, with the proper ammunition, you could compensate for the cons to a great degree. For example, Underwood Ammo +p, or +p+ are some of these examples, but there is a catch; these types of ammo are not recommended to be used all the time, only for specific scenarios. 1. The +p/+p+ ammo can damage your gun if used too often. 2. You can buy hard casing ammo for hunting big game.
Going 40 next. Got the 9mm now. I want something with more recoil. The 9mm is fun but I dont feel anything from it. I want a little more kick
Could've just said you need more cowbell
I love 40 . Was my first gun .
Something with the least recoil so you can put more rounds in the target without recoil getting you off Target I use a 9 mm but considering a high capacity 22
9mm don't have more velocity necessarily. .40 Speer gold dot 155gr goes 1,200 ft/s. And Critical Defense is 165gr @ 1,175 ft/s...
The only 9mm that I really want is .357 Sig... 125gr @ 1,400 ft/s sounds nice!!
both! subcompact 9mm and a full size .40cal to reduce the snappiness and always have cheap ammo
I have both in Glocks, Smith & Wesson M&Ps, Sig Sauer P320s and I like both calibers. 👍👍
NY state resident here. Glock 23 is the same size as the Glock 19 and both are limited to 10 rounds. So yes the Glock 23 for defense and an after market drop in barrel for 9mm conversion at the range. The Glock 23 magazine will work. The feed lips will hold the round just fine, but for normal Glock reliability, pair with Glock 19 magazines and good to go.
I usually go with 40 but sometimes carry a 9. It depends on when and/or where I'm going. What I'll be doing too.
You mind breaking down that statment a little more. Where your going? Im a newer gun owner so just trying to learn as much as possible
@@a-t5380 I can’t speak for him personally, but when broken down in universal gun jargon, the debate is, a standard concealable magazine will generally capacitate more ammunition in a 9 mm VS. .40 S&W…I.e a glock 19 will house 17 rounds of 9mm, but a glock 23 (same size gun…and extended magazines aren’t practical in regards to efficient reaction draw) will only house 15 round of .40 cal,
The .40 cal will have more knockdown power, but the gun with standard size magazine, carries less ammunition
The 9mm will have less knockdown power but carries more ammunition.
Getting back to the environmental topic..if you are planning to spend a lot of time in a highly populated environment, (like the state fair) you may come in contact with more than one armed person in a violent confrontation, so those couple of extra rounds from a 9mm may be very very critical according to how those two extra rounds are utilized.
But if know you are going to be spending less time in random less populated environments (like the auto parts store, convenient store, McDonald’s) where you are more likely to be encountered with only one person in a violent confrontation, then the stopping power of a .40 cal may be a little more valuable than the ammunition capacity.
But like I said, these factors vary from person to person, and a lot of people also base their options on confidence, or lack of confidence… personally, I like the stopping power of a .40 cal, but I also don’t spend a whole lot of time at the range, which will most likely result in lack of skills in a critical situation, so for me, two extra rounds from a 9 mm may help preserve my life if I’m in a situation dealing with more than one person.
@angeldesigns1385 wow thanks for the breakdown. That was incredible. Makes since
@@a-t5380hey yo. As someone who is turning 22 next month, I can confirm with the aforementioned advice that skills are better than anything. I’ve used handguns for a year solid now and I love them trust me they are powerful enough and effective enough to do what you want to do. But Rifles are very good to practice on in comparison. I’ve used shotguns and rifles for 3 years now. They are always easier to use than handguns. Three points of contact on the gun with a rifle versus only two with a pistol. Pistols are inherently harder to shoot in any caliber. To explain this point I’d like to mention I have a AR-12 rifle. It’s like a AR-15 rifle but chambered in 12 gauge shotgun rounds. It’s easier to use this 12 gauge rifle than a .22 pistol in my opinion, because of the extra point of contact and bigger controls and better sight radius etc etc. please go shoot your handgun if you got one or If you ever wanna use one to protect yourself with. If you ever just wanna be accurate in general. It’s a skill that comes and goes, so don’t forget that. My favorite thing to do is take out broken things from my house that don’t work and go shoot them. Also things that make me go “I wonder what would happen if I shot this” so do what makes you feel happy. Just use a tarp underneath things they explode and pieces go everywhere and littering is bad especially with shotguns shotgunners are the worst they never clear their litter and all it takes is five seconds and a dollar store tarp to not make a enormous mess of shells
@@a-t5380please be safe and enjoy your time shooting remember it’s a lot like driving in that it’s fun to do but only when you focus on driving. You make a wrong move for a second driving an bam you drove through my house.
I carry 40. Just like it. I have lots of 9mm pistols Ann carbines though and it’s a blast shooting steel.
I carry 9mm because I wear scrubs 90 percent of the time , and it’s lighter .40 cal is next to the bed . If they had one same size as my 9mm and not much heavier , I’d carry that instead..
I love to hear that I chose 40 because of knockdown power. Pistol caliber rounds don't have knockdown power. There is a very minimal difference in the 9mm and 40 caliber performance. I love all calibers. All will get the job done.
I have a S&W 2.0 compact that I got in .40 and i found an OEM 9mm barrel and spring assembly on eBay and with 9mm mags I have a 2 in 1 gun and it’s been flawless with both calibers. That said I do prefer .40🤙
40 please
Just a badass round
Is that 20 extra ft lbs of energy really worth the scarce ammo at higher prices?
There’s a reason the 40cal is dead in the water, mate
Stay safe
Keep shooting

@@miker258 40sw can generate 530 foot pounds of energy depending on bullet weight,on the other hand 9mm plus p ammo generates 395 foot pounds of energy,so no haha ,it's not just a 20ft lbs of difference.
@@LUCIFER-ic3ec you might wanna go look at some ballistics charts bud
The ammo in my 9mm pistol right now has over 500 ft lbs of energy.
Why would you post something so easy to prove wrong?
@@miker258your average 9mm is producing more than 20 ft lbs less than your average 40. Ive looked at the ballistics charts. Also, ballistic performance comes down to more than sheer ft lbs. 40 will expand to a much larger diameter than 9mm given equal muzzle energy and bullet design.
@@ki-te9842 that’s ridiculous
That strictly depends on the ammo so to use it like that’s the case across the board is silly.
There are far more types of 9mm than there is 40 so I can guaranty you that’s not the case every time.
Like I said on average the 40 has a little more energy and it’s a little larger, but again, there’s nothing a 40 can do that a 9mm can’t.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
During the pandemic, I could not find 9 mm ammunition anywhere at any price. But my local store had 14 boxes of 40 Smith and Wesson just sitting there ignored. I am a firm believer in caliber diversity, which is heretical to those tacticool guntubers in the too-tight T-shirts, who preach the gospel of only 9mm. If the SHTF, I’d like to know that I can make use of a variety of calibers, whatever may be available.
Not a topic I have to worry about since I carry a Glock 23. Best of both worlds
I remember the first pistol I ever bought was at Smith Smith & Wesson, and the guy at the gun show had the 9mm and the 40 Smith & Wesson and I remember asking him what do you think I should go with the nine or the 40 and he said it depends on how many times you want to shoot the person😂😂😂 so I ended up going with the 40 Smith & Wesson😅
My nine ammo ballistic wise is right there with the forty cal so I’m good.gotta love underwood
Just ordered my Taurus .40
I have both now, but I’m just getting into guns. Started with a 9 mm now. I’ve got a 40 caliber Springfield. I went with that round because it’s a little bigger than 9, I’m interested in the knockdown power. Got a few more rounds in it the most 45s. I all-around felt like it was a good choice.
I love that snap that shit is sooo good. .40 for life.
I carry a 40 and I’ve been EDC a 40 since 2009. I’ve carried 9 before as EDC but something about shooting the 40 hooked me and I never looked back my wife carries a 9 as her EDC.
40 does everything 9 does but better. Get a platform designed for the 40 not just a 9 with a 40 barrel . 9 mil only cheaper with range ammo . Hp are all expensive. In self defense which will be close and have little time to get multiple well aimed shots go with 40 over 9 .
Armed guard I carry a Ruger SR 40. I have the round capacity of a 9 with the power of a 40. I carry defense rounds to lessen over penetration
taurus g2c 9mm w/ sig 226 20rd mag as my edc. taurus g2c .40s&w i keep in the car
It depends on the scenario. If its a war scenario i want a 9mm, much easier to scavenge ammunition for your weapon. Just randomly getting my home broken into amd have to defend it, hand me my 40
War scenario, scavenge ammo? Lol! Someone’s been watching too many post-apocalyptic movies lol!

With a little practice, the compact .40 isn't really bad at all. G-23 is a terrific gun. I wouldn't carry anything larger than a 9mm in subcompact, though.
Glock 23 gen 5 .40 caliber
G-23 is my carry gun as well. People that hate on .40 are the people who can't control the recoil of a .40
Is it a good gun? I just ordered a glock 23 gen 5 40 cal from a gun store yesterday.

Product Placement over caliber
Shot placement is key! Why give up extra rounds for a little more power and a lot more recoil?
100% go with the one you can control and are most comfortable with. A little practice and the "a lot more recoil" isn't even an issue.
Practice doesn't change physics :)@@somecallmetim4490
At the end of the day I say 9mm I have 40s and 9s and while I love 40sw I know 9mm is morr readily available, cheaper and more recoil control. But I do love 40sw because gun makes big boom lol.
And the debate about less ammo capacity, here is my response to that: if you are so concerned about needing more ammo for deffense while carrying out. Then you either suck at shooting or you are going into places you probably shouldnt.
40 for me all day. That said i choose an 40 glock or S&W m&p with 9mm conversion barrels and 9mm mags. Having a 40 allows me to use 40, 357sig, and 9mm. Best of all worlds.
Yep! My G23 becomes a G19 in all of 30 seconds.
For me, 40 S&W. Just like it more than 9mm.
Kentucky did away with concealed carry permits years ago and i carry smith and wesson 40 mp 2.0
I have both
Everything you said is correct!
I picked 40, it does have a proven track record. Also, when everyone else buys up 9 and not 40, guess who lucks out? We do 😃
There is no “debate”… “back at it again.” The argument was settled years ago. The verdict: .357Sig for defense is KING in a combat pistol round.
Next video please.
9mm accurate, high capacity, low recoil. Glock 19x , Canik mete mc9 or ruger max9. Are the 3 pistols i rotate. Honestly its all in what you shoot best in my opinion I own a 40 but I shoot my 9mms way better.
I like em both BUT modern .40 is objectively more powerful than 9mm. Good .40 off shelf loads hover from 400-500 fpe where as your 9mm +p will still struggle to break even 300-400 unless you go +p+ boutique loadings. Boutique loadings for .40 are even more powerful at 600-700 fpe. I like 9mm for cheap range practice. But .40 when my life depends on it.
I love 40 and 9 but you are mistaken if you think 9mm struggles to break 300 ft lbs standard pressure federal hst hits 364ft lbs of muzzle energy and the plus p version hits 396.. but yes .40 is a stronger round with more weight and muzzle energy on avg.
Is it better than 9 in terms of power? Yes.
I have never seen any 9mm that was lower than 300 ft/lbs. In fact most non +p 9mm is 350-375 and +p+ caps out at 500
I think you might wanna check your stats one more time and I think you might be doing yourself a disservice if you’re only looking at energy for which of a better round because there’s a lot more that goes into it than just that and velocity would be one of those things next would be the one you can shoot best because it’s not such a drastic jump in power so a 9 will be able to do everything a 40 can but the 9 will be better penetrating hard targets
Keep shooting
Stay safe
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
That’s a good point. The 9mm crowd crows about the “modern 9mm” is equal to a .40. I have to assume manufactures have modernized the .40 too right?
@@kds471 not to the same extent because of how much more popular the 9mm is vs the 40cal which is all but obsolete these days
0.40 cal was the only pistol round that I could easily find during COVID-19 ammo shortage was a plus.
My problem is, I like em all! Its a problem for me but, it's a problem I don't mind having😊
I use a .40 because it was sixty dollars cheaper than the same pistol chambered for 9mm. I was bargain hunting that day, and now I've more than paid for the difference in ammo costs.
I like them both.
I love 40 have them both....
Shot placement is what matters. If you get plugged five times in your sternum, you will not care if it's 9mm or 40. The ballistic difference between 9mm and 40 is really not that much. Everybody thinks that because of the dumb FBI ballistics testing years ago, and guess what the FBI uses now 9mm. If you are carrying 40, it's because someone told you to, or you are trying to hang on to what you did in the military or law enforcement 20 years ago. Today, both Army and Marine core issued pistols are 9mm. If you look at most police reports of shootings in the past couple of years, they are using 9mm. You can't beat it for the weight, capacity, price, and the availability
All of them especially 357s
Love and own both. No one Said I had to choose just 1.
Im starting to not believe energy from grainage and velocity cuz to many 9mm rounds are claiming and even chronographing high 400 and low 500 fpe and to many .40 coming in at high 300s and mid 400s like you feel that recoil difference and you know the .40 is more energy foh lol
I have a 9, .40 and 10. The 10 is my favorite.
Buy both, carry both one on each hip old west style. Open carry of course unless you are in California then you just carry your good intentions and peaceful thoughts. Bad guy makes an appearance in the salon calls you yellow it wont matter much which one does the job.
.40 for 2 legged pests 10mm for 4 legged
Tickled me reading this , I’d never break into your house lol
just ordered my first handgun went 40.
Both will work.
I'm trying to get my first handgun, I'm stuck between the S&W M&P 2.0 or Beretta 96A1
M&P 2.0 full size or 4" compact, you will not regret it.
@@michaelsaupe1356 what's your opinion on .40 s&w??
I have both...and .45 ACP.
I use both. 40 in winter with more clothes and 9 with shorts and t shirts. Wife uses an 8
Whatever you have to fight your way to your rifle.
.40 for me. Ya i would love to see the bullets cost less. Ya i would love to see the market put the time and effort into making the .40 better like they did to the 9mm. In order for a 9mm to equal what a .40 can do they have made the 9mm +p into a standard .40. extra wear on the gun, more muzzle flip but with far more muzzle flash after the round leaves the gun.
Once again .40 for me.
40 for me
Both
Any caliber will do on hand gun. I carried 9 , 40 , and 45 . They all have perks and weaknesses. In my case I prefer 9mm. Carry more, less weight, and can keep sights on target. But alll are good. But let’s get real a rifle will always be better than a pistol. Comment you favorite rifle round.
357sig!
PX4 in 40 all the way, rotating Barrel diminishes the snap by a lot
I got a M&P 9MM an a Glock 23 40 cal I like both I’m more accurate with my 9mm
40, since my first gun.
I love to edc my Glock 22. 16 rounds of 40 cal is way better than the 18 rounds of 9mm you get in the same size platform of the Glock 17.
40 reigns supreme for sure! If you can afford it buy both 9 & 40 and practice with 9. The 40 will kick a bit more but you can practice cheaper with the 9 and you won’t notice huge a huge difference between the 9 & the 40. However your attacker will feel a HUGE difference between the 9 & the 40! Carry the 40 ALWAYS if you can, BUT carry a 9 if you can’t afford the 40! Words to live by
Bedside is a suppressed 300BO, a pistol is secondary for home defense
❤❤❤my 9mm parabelum
I like both. However i did carry the .40 for 2 years when did security work.
Knockdown power isn’t a thing. Kinetic energy means nothing with pistols becuase they can’t overcome the bodies elasticity like rifles to create large permanent wound cavities. Only thing that really matters is bullet size and shot placement ; bigger bullet, more recoil, harder to place shots. 9mm
But stopping ability IS a thing, and while much of your argument is correct for cadavers and ballistic gel, it is wrong for living breathing attackers. Talk to people who have had to stop threats. Watch security cam and body cam videos of 9mm stops...they have to literally ventilate the bad guy. And in many of them, an entire mag is dumped into the person and they go sit down and die. But if you talk to cops, .40, .357 Sig, .45, 10mm...those are where you get your one or two shot stops. That's just reality. None of them will knock a person backwards screaming, that is myth, you are right. But stopping power is real. And 9mm is considered by most veteran cops who have been there, to be more of a get off me caliber than a serious tool.
For certain tasks 9mm is better but for a general purpose round 40 S&W is the best option
45acp
Ahh an age old debate ive carried 9mm cheap to shoot easy to train on i even considered 380acp but i figured if capacity is the same go with more powder but then you look at 40 more velocity bigger diameter but if velocity isnt an issue because getting shoot is still getting shoot bigger holes bleed faster so go 45acp honestly it doesnt matter train with what you have shot placement is everything
I only trust my life with .40S&W
I don't mind spending a bit more as long as my protection doesn't get compromise. Otherwise my secondary go to round is the .357Sig
Yeah .357sig it's got more velocity than 9mm and a bit more firepower than .40S&W
For my EDC (Conceal carry) always in my holster is my S&W 4006 TSW .40S&W or my SIG P229 Sport .357sig eitherway I carry them alternately.
.40 cal❤❤💪🏿💪🏿
Everyone is on here with their vast knowledge and experience saying 40 for the house. If you are so smart why aren’t you saying shotgun for the house
Right onnnn! What shell you running? Not tryna take out the neighbor's cat. #4 #00?
@tlc239, my 9mm Shield is my carry but in the house I’m going with the 40
I like options so how about a pew pew that can chamber both 40 and 10mm? Yes please!
Glock 20 can do both! Can attest to that myself! Though I do not recommend, especially with other 10mm handguns!
The TH-cam gelatin tests of the same model ammo (Critical Defense / HST / Underwood seem to show similar hollow point expansion but about 2-3 additional inches of penetration for 40; but in the high quality defense loads they both satisfy FBI requirements. If you want to shoot ball or flat nose, 40 is significantly hotter, but both exceed FBI penetration requirements by a large margin, such that the risk of over penetration becomes an issue. For bear attacks 10mm is most carried in Alaska but Buffalo Bore speaks well of a properly set up 40. 9mm falls into the better than nothing fate but the still make a bear round for it. The Army is happy with the new M1152 1300fps round, FBI is happy with the 137gr Critical Duty 9, police are moving to 9. I’d say 9mm is enough but 40 is much better against larger mass.
They are definitely switching to 9 in waves. Have been for years, I agree. The .40 would always have its place if the 9mm gain so much over the last 10 years.
In 40 I think there will be dwindling variety of defense rounds, but that might even be a good thing since less popular brands or lines will be discontinued. Someone might miss their favorite design but the average buyer will be less confused - there are a bewildering array of 9mm defense rounds trying to claw some market share.
For home I think 40 is better. I’m very impressed by smaller 40’s like the Glock 27, Shield 9, XD40, HK P2000.
For a BOB bug out bag I think 9mm is almost the only way to go it’s relatively abundant if things go sideways. I only see things getting worse in the next 25-50 years. Social order is fraying and law and order are under siege.
