@joel Cuesta Hi, first backup original f1 2020 sfx. Then via content manager -> content -> rss formula hybrid 2020 -> replace sound, and select hybrid x 2022. Or copy f1 hybrid x 2022 sfx to f1 2020 folder and rename bank file -> rss_formula_hybrid_2020. Also rename all rss_formula_hybrid_x lines in GUIDs.txt file.
Amazing to think that the indycar is closer to an f3 than f1 on pace, probably explains why the racing is so good, my opinion across the board is that all these cars are all too heavy except the f3 car

A real Indycar would lap about the same as an F2 car, but the RSS Indycar mod is a bit down on power compared to real life. I think the VRC Indycar mod is a bit closer to real life lap times compared to the RSS.
The one thing though that's hard to replicate on sims for indycar is that with no power steering they're fighting the steering wheel like crazy. F2 also doesn't have power steering if I'm correct

You guys realize that IndyCar is a completely different racing series, right? It has lower downforce, which require a lot more patience through corners. Not to mention that every IndyCar runs the same chassis, so it can't be as regulated as an F1 or F3 car. People need to stop the comparisons because they don't work. F1 is more technical and was made to be that way; IndyCar is more competitive and was made to be that way. Edit: Also, IndyCars have no power-steering, which means you pretty much have to put your shoulders in it to turn the car.

Glad you liked it! All cars are driven by me pretty much flat out, no more than +1s room to improve per car. What makes IndyCar relatively slow compared to F2 is it's lack of DRS which has significant effect on main straight top speed on this track.

A way to find out a rough estimate, calculate the percentage of how much slower an F2 car is to an F1 around a track they both go to, and then compare the percentage of how much slower an IndyCar is to an F1 car, with Austin having been the only track they've ever both competed at
IDK whether it matters or not but I think INDYCAR should think about going to Mugello, its mostly flat out and that's the kinda racing indy does, so... IDK man I just think it will be really amazing. Would love to know everyone else's thoughts. 😇

@@bieleepy I'm familiar with both those videos. And I think these car mods are very accurate because for example at Barcelona all my F1, F2 & F3 times were within a second of 2020 pole times. Likewise my Indycar 2020 hotlap at Road America was within second of 2020 pole time. At Mugello I was quicker than real 2020 times there because real Mugello track was more slippery due to not been used that much and no formula had ever raced there.Even there relative strenght of F1,F2 &F3 mached real life.

It seems that in the game the downforce and the acceleration of the indy is the same as the F2, in real life Indy has less than the F2, it is superior only in final speed.
I'm not sure what it is, but it feels like the 2020 RSS Formula Americas mod is slower than the 2018 VRC Formula NA mod (maybe it's the aeroscreen). There are comparison videos that show the 2018 IndyCar mod being closer to F2
My experiments on RSS Formula Americas 2020 vs real 2020 Indy lap times are really close to each other so I think RSS 2020 is not slower than real 2020 Indycar. Not familiar with 2018 Indycar specs if it had more power or lower drag. Good point though 👍
@@FlyingF1nn The 2018 cars didn't have the aeroscreen, and what's said about the aeroscreen's affect on performance is mixed. Some people said it added more drag, other people said it didn't change the car's performance all that much.
Cool idea but I don't have Grand Turismo Sport. Also on my experience RSS Formula cars on Assetto Corsa are most realistic FIA formula cars there is for sim racing. Many real drivers use RSS mods on their home sims.
With my experiences RSS Formula Americas 2020 is very accurate, I've done very similar laps with it compared to real life pole times, for example at Road America. VRC's new Indycar is too fast to be as realistic as RSS.

Well spotted, I actually used RSS Formula Hybrid 2022 (Honda) sounds on that F1 because didn't like RSS Formula Hybrid 2020 v2 original sounds. With new v3 update F1 2020 sounds are great though. Those can be heard on my newest (non Red Bull) F1 videos.

Of course the F2 was gonna be a lot faster than the Indycar. Indycar doesn't have anywhere near the downforce levels of F2, plus they don't have power steering.
Actually only F1 has power steering, F2 & F3 don't. But as you said F2 has more downforce, higher power to weight ratio, better tires, better brakes and DRS. Also only designed for road tracks. F2 is a real deal.
Put all 4 cars on a Indy track and the Indy car will smoke them! Don't think the F1 can do (230+ MPH or 380+KPH) like the Indy cars. It is designed for pure speed on banked oval tracks not flat curve F1 tracks. The cars are designed to do two different things.
Maybe will do comparison of these on oval in the future. Not sure though if I can setup Formulas to have low enough downforce & proper gear ratios for oval speeds.

F1 is about cornering at the highest speed using downforce to the fullest. Indy is about top end straight line speed with very limited differences, car to car, between the Indy car opponents. All the fanboy F1 guys need to get a grip, 2 completely different styles of racing and that is all. Just like NASCAR is slower still, because they limit their speeds for safety reasons. Apples compared to oranges and there is no reason too.
I love that Indycar teams have limited resources and racing is much more even. F1 is leaning maybe too much on expensive technology & engineering. Hopefully new 2022 rules make F1 racing more even.
On an oval KERS cant really be used, which could level the playing field when it comes to horsepower The Internal combustion engines might be comparable between F1 and Indycar but who knows tbh. Also indy isn't designed for pure speed on an oval, its definitely a road course type of car, its just that they're purposely on edge with road course spec for the sake of entertainment.
That's because F1 cars are not made for senseless speed, but rather taking tight corners really really fast. Mercedes never has the fastest top speed of an F1 car, but it wins races by taking corners faster than anyone else.
I don't think it does on these circumstances. I drove same Indycar at Road America and compared my best lap time to this years real life Indycar qualifying, I was about 0.7s faster. On the oval track Indycar is obviously much faster because of very low downforce.
If you mean lap times compared to real life 2020 Tuscan GP pole position times there's a reason, I drove these laps on optimal grip levels compared to more dirty track irl (not used that much). Also none of those teams had never raced at Mugello thus had not much data. Considering that I improved F1 time to 1min 12.843s, my laps were 3.27-4.16% faster than real quali pole times, not that inconsistent.
Yeah, they switched to a low downforce chassis in 2018. Indycar is primarily focused on exciting racing, that's why they got rid of their previous wing convoluted chassis.

I think the tires make the biggest difference. Indycar needs bigger and better tires.

How about comparing the Mercedes F1 and Super Formula SF19 alone in Gran Turismo Sports?

With a lot of testing and research I'm very confident that this test is fairly accurate. F2 is actually very fast, many just don't realize it.
And also at Mugello F3 had big advantage due to DRS. At my Road America test without DRS Indycar was closer to F2 and F3 was clearly slower.

Power steering just ease the driver's job, making easier to keep regular laptimes. On just a lap, it does not have so much influence.

Indycar are better than Formula 3.
Put all 4 cars on a Indy track and the Indy car will smoke them! Don't think the F1 can do (230+ MPH or 380+KPH) like the Indy cars. It is designed for pure speed on banked oval tracks not flat curve F1 tracks. The cars are designed to do two different things.
Maybe will do comparison of these on oval in the future. Not sure though if I can setup Formulas to have low enough downforce & proper gear ratios for oval speeds.
@@FlyingF1nn Thanks for the response! Not knocking you at all, great video. Indy can't compete with F1 on a F1 track, no question. They are trying to do different things that's all. F1 is about cornering at the highest speed using downforce to the fullest. Indy is about top end straight line speed with very limited differences, car to car, between the Indy car opponents. All the fanboy F1 guys need to get a grip, 2 completely different styles of racing and that is all. Just like NASCAR is slower still, because they limit their speeds for safety reasons. Apples compared to oranges and there is no reason too.
I love that Indycar teams have limited resources and racing is much more even. F1 is leaning maybe too much on expensive technology & engineering. Hopefully new 2022 rules make F1 racing more even.
On an oval KERS cant really be used, which could level the playing field when it comes to horsepower
The Internal combustion engines might be comparable between F1 and Indycar but who knows tbh.
Also indy isn't designed for pure speed on an oval, its definitely a road course type of car, its just that they're purposely on edge with road course spec for the sake of entertainment.
That's because F1 cars are not made for senseless speed, but rather taking tight corners really really fast.
Mercedes never has the fastest top speed of an F1 car, but it wins races by taking corners faster than anyone else.

I don't think it does on these circumstances. I drove same Indycar at Road America and compared my best lap time to this years real life Indycar qualifying, I was about 0.7s faster. On the oval track Indycar is obviously much faster because of very low downforce.

If you mean lap times compared to real life 2020 Tuscan GP pole position times there's a reason, I drove these laps on optimal grip levels compared to more dirty track irl (not used that much). Also none of those teams had never raced at Mugello thus had not much data. Considering that I improved F1 time to 1min 12.843s, my laps were 3.27-4.16% faster than real quali pole times, not that inconsistent.

Makes sence when comparing figures, F2 has better power to weight ratio, more downforce, better tires, DRS...
F2 is actually about as fast as F1 cars from 2014, they're way faster than most people think. :-)

Yeah, they switched to a low downforce chassis in 2018. Indycar is primarily focused on exciting racing, that's why they got rid of their previous wing convoluted chassis.
