Good review. I'm taking my first Taurus G3c to the range tomorrow. I have total confidence in the Taurus G-Series pistols.
My first was a PT111G2 purchased in 2016. That pistol has experienced normal wear but remains in fantastic condition. The same holds true for the many other Taurus G-Series pistols I have. Each one shoots great and handles well.

Purchased one of these a month ago. Amazing deal and a great pistol. No issues with it and very pleased with it. I have a Hellcat, Glock, Sig, etc, and the Taurus G3C is a fine addition. Highly recommend this pistol. It's cost doesn't have any impact on it's performance. Get one of these.

I'm with you on the quality, shoot ability, accuracy, looks of this firearm from Taurus. I purchased mine some 5 days ago and have only been able to put 50 rounds of hardball through it BUT mine shot point of aim, was SURPRISINGLY pleasant to shoot, and I found it to be very accurate..........that is it was " easy " for me to hit targets close and long distance and with zero blurbs. I am lovin' this lil gun. IT IS A BARGAIN !!! Laugh and criticize all you want at my next statement, but.....this gun is every bit the quality of polymer framed striker fired pistols costing 2 or 3 times the cost. And I only had to shell out $270.00 for mine. I love it !!!

S&W-MP has the Bodyguard 380 ACP. I would bet in less than 2 years you'll see the G4C with a Commander Cody & His Lost Planeteers decider ring in the box. Not "for the money." Not "If you're on a budget." They just are. Let's stop qualifying the facts and just accept what is.

Had mine for about a month now and put a couple hundred rounds through it. I has been 100% reliable in the short time with 6 different brands of ammo, including some steel case. For the money I guess I'm happy but I just can't seem to shoot it as well as I would like. Point of impact seems low.
Thought it was just me, but had 3 other guys shoot it yesterday and they were doing worse. Now I know it is a compact and not a target pistol, but still somewhat disappointed in accuracy. I'm not going to give up after only a few boxes of shells but I usually shoot much better. I kind of wish it had the old G2c adjustable rear sights to be honest.

I drink American-made and sometimes European made Pilsner, and I own a Sccy, a Ruger, and a Glock, and my next gun coming up soon will be the Taurus G3C...Not because it's a "cheap gun" but because it's a good gun. So There! LOL! New sub here.

I've owned the pt111 G2 for several years now...waiting for the G3c to be back in stock. I fixed all of the "issues" (never was an issue for me, but I heard other people have an issue) with the pistol, new trigger, firing pin slide and springs, recoil spring and I put night sights on it. It is hands down my favorite carry gun. I even prefer it to my M&P Shield 2.0. That being said, you need to choke up on the grip...not only for control, but your thumb was sitting right on the mag release button during the video.

Dad Hut well that place is Shooters of Jacksonville, Florida and they now want $459.99 plus tax for a G3C so I purchased mine for just $264 out the door at Academy Sports in Orange Park,Florida and I will never waste my time again at Shooters for anything at any price. This was this past Saturday FYI.

Nice firearm! Stop saying that it’s in the class of Springfield or Glock retailers might raise the price. Love my Springfield which outclasses Glock to me. It’s in my rotation along with my g2c. So when it it time for a change it replaces my spring effectively.

While I like the gun overall, there are 3 major cons to it. 1) The take up is insanely long..like long enough to eat a sandwich while reading emails long. 2) The stippling is so aggressive that there is no way to carry it against your skin or to have any kind of extended range session without gloves. 3) The sights do not pick up jack sh..! I don't see it as an "upgrade" to the G2c, just slightly different than the G2c.

The trigger is sort of a DA/SA with a safety instead of a decocker. I like the restrike feature. I rented the full size G3 & liked the trigger, sights, accuracy & function. No problems. I shot good groups with it. About that trigger: The break on my Canik trigger is a little better but the take-up on the Taurus G3 is MUCH smoother. My Canik cost more & I'm spending more money to remove the long, gritty take-up. Put another way, I've never seen a better trigger on a $250 gun. G3 is hard to beat.

I'm pretty much sold on getting 1 soon. My only delimma is do I get the G3C (smaller, 3 mags, metal sights,Teflon finish) or the G3 (slightly larger, 2 mags both with higher capacity)🤔.

Me and my brother bought our g3c a couple of days ago. My brother owns the g3 which I've handled and shot as well. If you're focusing on concealed carry and/or plan to do so in the future g3c is the way to go hands down. The g3 is way roomier if you plan to add stuff to it (lights, red dot sights, etc) for home defense. That been said, both guns can do the same very well. My brother is a big dude and he said that carrying the g3 was becoming a bit uncomfortable after a while so his excited to try the g3c and see how that feels.
(UPDATE) After a couple of weeks and a little over two hundred rounds through it I definitely feel the g3c is a bit more recoil heavy than the g3. I can still put headshots comfortably at 25 to 30 feet but the bounce on that little gun is real. My brother put a laser on his and that's what his carrying. His leaving the g3 at home now for home defense.

s3nior Rodz, with the removal of the tactile load indicator on the G3c, there is plenty of real estate to machine for a red dot now. Plus, the Glock sight compatibility makes it a cheaper option to find co-witness sights.
With the availability of magazine extensions to properly fit the 15 & 17 round mags, my vote is for the G3c as a better all around option.

Early 2000s glock was a 400 pistol . With zero enhancements 20 years later it’s now a 700 pistol . It still has plastic sights Del the factory- . I only buy glock used the new price is for idiots that don’t know what it is. The Taurus isn’t as refined as Sig beretta etc , but it works . They have got my business back after 10 years of walking away from them . Now people with thousands of rds through them no issues .

Everyone says they paid $250+/- for the pistol. I have not seen that price even when shopping the sites that the pistols were purchased from. I paid $329.99 for mine which I think is a good deal. The G3C is a great firearm. Just have not found one at the prices TH-cam videos are saying.

Taurus guns are good in a pinch. They just don't have a very long shelf life. Meaning, they work fairly well at 1st. But after a couple thousand rounds through them, they start to turn into rattle traps. This will work fine for the vast majority of gun owners, as they tend not to shoot so much in the first place. That's my 2 cents on Taurus firearms. Get a Stoeger STR-9. Now that's a great, budget fighting pistol! ;-P

  • @timetheous
    @timetheous 4 ปีที่แล้ว

wow ... have not seen the tea cup grip in a long time ... you can increase your accuracy and control muzzle flip by changing your grip (just an observation). Also - the gun has a long initial trigger pull as the gun has second strike capabilities if you get a light primer strike. Most striker fired guns do not have that ability. The G2C/G3C series of firearms are great and are well worth the inexpensive /budget minded price tag.

All guns may need servicing from the factory from time to time. Send a pistol back to Taurus for repair and see how long it takes to be repaired. I have sent firearms back to S&W, Ruger, Colt, FIE SPAS, and Olympic Arms- none of them kept my firearm over six weeks. I have sent over 7 S&W pistols back for repair or recall over the past 40 years and they were back in record time, only the last one was sent just before the RONA VIRUS hit, it took six weeks before it arrived back. It took over 4 months for me to get a barrel for my Taurus TX22. Hi Point POS will repair a 9mm cracked slide in about 10 day turn around and give a free magazine. So if you buy the G3C for everyday carry, make sure you have a backup EDC, just in case your G3c needs to be repaired. If you shoot your pistols a lot, you may have an extractor or other item that prematurely wears out or breaks-this happens from all brands. What matters is how quickly the manufacture takes to resolve your problem. We have all seen how long Taurus took to take care of their customers after the massive recall they had. I took a chance and bought a TX22 knowing I would never be carrying it for self defense. I was hoping Taurus would get their act together and step up their service, so far they haven't.

The cost of a gun is the purchase price plus every round of ammunition you will ever run through it. How much will you shoot it? If the answer is, "a lot", the cost of ammo may be the far greater portion. Now what is the percentage difference between the cheap gun and the quality one? Is it still cheaper if it doesn't do exactly what you want with that ammo you are spending good money for?
