This is the type of story we need right now!
This commercial made me feel all warm and bubbly happy inside!
And this is how a Christmas commercial should be done.
That feeling when an airport makes better commercials than everybody else
Kwiat 126p
Yep.
Yea
Kwiat 126p Yes
for those who dont understand why the grandparents were bears
Teddy bears are usually old toys
old and forgotten with all the new technology surrounding them and high tech stuffs like iPad and iPhones
Teddy bears have limited movement hence, they were given a ride on the airport buggy.
Also a nice touch that grandpa bear need glasses to read the signs to claim the baggage.
Also the flight and airport staff helping the pair from disembarkation of the plane, passport checks and baggage claims all the way to the arrival hall.
This ad shows how the airport reunite families who have been away for a while in time for Xmas.
Families with grandparents still around.
treasure your moments
Beautiful...
I thought it was a play on words "coming home is the best gift of all" - usually you'd expect to give a toy to a kid. So making them toys makes them the gift. But I like your explanation as well
This helped me so much with my homework on advert analysis-
I'm literally crying my eyes out. After ten years, I'm finally spending Christmas time with my grandparents and this video hit me right in the feels :')
This was 7yrs ago in 2016 wow…😊
Yep..
cuteness overload
After 2 years of lockdown -- yes I'm crying!!!
I love this... Everyone should have a Teddy Bear, no matter how old you are. Always name them to give them character, send or give a teddy to someone that just might need something to make them smile and to hug, no matter how old they are.
Who knew stuffed animals could make you cry.
They fight your battles when you are an infant, and dry your tears all of your life.
Have you a heart of stone !! Ted's are always there for you and NEVER tell your secrets 💞
The others have helicopters, snowmobiles, big song-and-dance numbers, half a forest of animals dancing a ballet on a trampoline... and you tell a simple love story with no dialogue, set entirely inside an airport, and it's glorious. Subtle, sweet, earnest, and quintessentially British - the most warm-hearted and honest commercial I've seen in years. Thank you, and happy Christmas. :)
I worked at Heathrow and witnessed many happy reunions at all times in the year. This just about sums it up,
Who left these onions here?
XD
Damn onion ninjas!!!!!
ERTV Medias :)
I know right! These onion cutting ninjas...
Squidward!! >:=(o )
I left England in the summer to live in Malta. After watching the wonderful ad, I cried, and for the first time, I'm missing home ... England ❤️
The extraordinarily mild weather we get up here misses you too ^_^ (not sarcastic)
FaZe Huebert hmmmm, there's always one ... NOT Sarcastic!
FaZe Huebert
Gordon Calderbank That would be me.
Gordon Calderbank did NOT say,"That was me". OK?
It's Christmas 2021 and I still watch this every year and it still makes me blub
Anddddd I'm crying. Dang Heathrow Airport, you got me right in my feelings. So adorable, so heartwarming. UGHHH. I never even went to Heathrow before and now I kind of wish to one day, visit their country. All the love Heathrow.
I also cry and I can not believe it but I'm happy
Merry merry merry merry Christmas!!!
And Happy New Year to you!
The simplicity is what makes this advert so wonderful. It's just so beautiful and touching. Merry Christmas everyone! 😊
Lovely advert. Made me tear up! Much respect to the staff at Heathrow. Merry Christmas.
Who's cutting onions? ;( This is adorable...cherish your grandparents while you can, I don't have them anymore!
Best Christmas advert 2016... Magic!
Definitely!
This year especially, it is very touching that families can reunite. In the mess of the past two years....it shows there is still hope. Just understated British talent.
Have watched it ten times today, and it is only 10am! So sweet and touching. Love it!!
This makes me cry because i will never get to see my grandpa together with my grandma😭 he is waiting for me in heaven😔❤️
Such a heartwarming ad! Every Christmas I used to go back to be with my grandparents. But for the last two years, I wasn’t able to. Miss those warm Christmas hugs!
I left as an 8 year old child from Heathrow to the USA fifty years ago. On all return visits.. I've always chosen Heathrow; it has the ghosts of dear family jumping, embracing and emotional smiles on arrivals.. and hugs, tears and waves goodbye. I haven't been for so long now; having stage 4 cancer pulls me to make one last trip. This advertisement has to mean so very much to those of us that left for another life who still have that dual love of the country we are from. This is my favourite advertisement during my time. Wonderfully done.
This is the best Bear advert with the Chas and Dave song!
This is so lovely. Made me reach for the tissues. I left the UK 56 years ago and would give my right arm to see it again. ❤️🇬🇧❤️
Why did you leave?
I love this advert, I could watch it again and again and again, just because I love teddy bears. Precious.
That is one of the cutest commercials I've ever seen!
Different now in 2021 unfortunately.
A feeling of nostalgia and 2000 miles away, merry Christmas.
No mater how many times I watch it, I cry
Made me cry from happiness
Me too!
Same
Random Landings, also, try the Sainsbury's advert! It's equally sad!
Still enjoying this, maybe time to rekindle this advert. Happy Christmas🙂
WOW, if you're an expat.. this surely can bring a tear to your eye. You might have left as a pre-adolescent like I did and spent your life visiting; or for so many other situations. You never forget you're British. Beautiful advert Heathrow. I truly wish my health was such that I could visit this Christmastime.
I come here, to this video every year. Love Actually and the arrivals gate. There is life in these small things somebody thought to make, film, and share. Coming home for christmas is not something everybody can do, financially, mentally, EMOTIONALLY, or physically. Some folks do not WANT TO. This still feels good.
You don't even need to advertise this... it happens in real life all the time during Christmas. That is what makes it great.
That's why they are advertising it. The advertisement is for the airport, not the homecoming of Christmas, but by portraying that homecoming in association with the airport, they're basically selling that wonderful feeling of coming home for the holidays, and causing you to associate that feeling with Heathrow. It's a pretty effective advertising technique.
This makes me tear up everytime I watch it!
Maybe all the more because I was raised by my grandparents.
One of my favourite commercials!
I got tears in my eyes...
This is so relevant for me. On 23rd December, my girlfriend will visit from Hong Kong to spend Christmas with me and my family. I'll be waiting for her at the arrivals gate at Heathrow..can't wait.
So human, so universal, and yet so quintessentially British!
This commercial is ever just so emotional for me and my parents!!!!! We have always dreamed of the day me, my husband and my kids will be able to see them again after being so far away from each other and not being able to see them as often!! It always makes me cry!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😊❤
Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.
"Love Actualy" movie quote at the beggining of the film. I tottaly agree
Nadine Tofallis d
aye wat about new friends?
did anyone else just say awwww the whole time and get teary eyed? no? just me ok lol
The Washington Metro, Metro Washington Airports and Amtrak take notice of this GREAT Commercial !!
I despise Christmas commercials, they're just so 'commercial.' But this ad is right up there with some of the old Coke commercials. Great work by your marketing team, cause coming home for Christmas really is the #BestGiftOfAll.
Even flipping airports make a amazing and magical add for Christmas
Teddy bears
Helen Abba stfu
STILL the best Heathrow Christmas ad.
Love this ad. I wish they show it on TV. Remind me of the closeness between my mom and dad. Cry every time i see it. Miss them daily.
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! That's so me. I can't wait to come home to blighty. miss it so much. The people, The food, The sounds!! Even the smells!
lol cringe
Young Geezer It's Chas n Dave singing. The best rockney singers in the world.
Young Geezer It's a type of music that Chas n Dave played. it's a mixture of rock and pub music. it's also a record label they were on. They are well know for playing old time pub songs from around the east end of london. That's where us Cockneys come from.
I love how the music has a little similarities of how the beatles sound , the voice blending and instruments tones.. truly sound british!!
Um, its Chas and Dave. Nothing to do with the Beatles at all!!!!
Good to see I made the cut in another wonderful Heathrow Promo video. Happy 70th Heathrow :) :)
One of the best Christmas promo's I've ever seen. I's so warm and touchy)
Made me cry....I loved it. Merry Christmas to all..
i can't believe im crying watching an ad.
It’s just so heartwarming to watch.
Oh wow.....what a wonderful Christmas advert! I get to LHR every day with my Drive Arrive Executive Transfers business and i simply love to watch loved ones arrive and meet family and friends, I even arrive in the terminals early just to see this, it's so heartwarming! What a 'fantastic' advert, well done Heathrow.....the best airport by miles. :-)
This year especially i miss visiting my family in the UK...this ad brings back so many memories...of the anticipation of meeting them at the airport😪 awwww
aww his name is Bair Edward :3 this is adorable. It is sad because my grandpa passed early this year. I never got to see him for the last :(
Going to be my first Christmas without my younger Brother :( I get great comfort from thinking that those we've lost are always with us in our hearts and memories. My thoughts are with you and your family x
:( stay strong!
shyannedianne1962 aww sorry for your loss. it is hard when we someone so close to us passed away. I happened to study abroad when my grandpa passed away. All I can do was crying alone in my room the moment I heard the news. Well I hope you have a great Christmas with your family and friends :)
Maria Zaharieva Thank you ♡♡♡♡
I'm glad I'm not the only curious to see the bear's name
This commercial is so touching I’ve went to UK 1 year ago and I miss the UK and also Heathrow. BTW Hello from Australia 🇦🇺
I always loved the ad... but as this christmas will be the first we will be spending without our beloved late grandparents, this hits different.
This is so true. I mean, we as children saw our grandparents as the cutest beings on earth and just want to hug them.
I know I did. I miss them.
This is the best commercial ever ❤
I love this....Heathrow you have made thee best Christmas Commerical....and made for us humans to feel the Christmas Spirit. Thank you....makes me want to fly back to England again.
The irony of wanting to see the advert and having to skip the advert before it starts!
Absolutely adorable. I have to admit: I cry every time I see it.
I LOVE this. It's only a minute long and hits all the right notes of emotion. Something very sentimental about it. Beautifully done! x
Watching this video makes me cry! I hope many Teddy Bears this year be with their own families! The most important, the families! What a beauty video!
EXCELLENT COMMERCIAL...I love these commercials, that softly incorporates Christmas & is clear on the message...
The best part of the holiday family and friends come to together and celebrate the holiday and remember the memories
Lovely advert. No matter what they say I think Heathrow still is the world's International Airport!
Excellent! We cannot wait to visit London during Christmas!
Just wonderful. So lovely and touching. Perfect.
The song is "I'm Going Back" by Chas & Dave fyi
Monica Musgrave dang thanks dude after I watch this video. It's so hard to find the song thanks
Broooooooooo thank you so much
I used to spend Christmases with my parents in London! They were lots of fun! This commercial brings back happy memories of these trips!
I love it well done Heathrow Airport about time there is a ad.
This advert makes you feel like you are returning to your roots and going from there. Coming back to your past that is full of colour, life and brightness and taking it with you to the present and go on from there.
Sweet indeed! I still like the ad very much and even though it's still a bit early-Merry Christmas everyone..
It's so cute but I'm unfortunately crying
So makes me cry reminds me of my childhood and family I have lost
Awww, so beautiful
Comming home to the ones you love... If you have ever felt it, this advert brings out your emotions. One of the best ads. Merry Christmas.

Ariana star RyanAir won't fly to Heathrow unless they want to raise their prices 😉
That was pretty cute. I got a little choked up.
今年も来ました!!coming soon!!
Every single time I watch this I cry 😪, it's way too adorable.
Single most charming commercial ever made!!!
Aww this advert makes me watery eyed. My Grandparents live abroad and my Grandma wishes she could spend Christmas with us, made me think of her 😢💕
Too adorable!!! Love Actually was my brother Billy's favorite ❤💙💕 film and the opening scene was of course filmed right there!
Lots of love and Blessings from America 🇺🇸 💘 :)
The best Christmas advert of this year.
Oh! How I love this ad. It makes me cry every time I watch it. My favorite of all time✨
It makes me think of mom and dad coming to see the grandchildren, it makes me cry.
Still one of my all time favourites, makes me laugh and cry all at once. The ending really gets me, makes me think of my late grandparents and how much I miss them especially at Christmas ❤😢😊
sending to my son...........we really want him home for Christmas
Love this ad...these cute bears remind me of my parents.
Fantastic advert 😢 made me cry haha, well done Heathrow 👏🏻
Chas & Dave in a brilliant Christmas advert featuring bears and not a single rabbit in sight let alone two and of course it's starring my little sister (I usually can't bear her as she has so much bunny) .... but catch her at the end running into her Grand Parents arms as she is soooooooo cute I'm actually going to watch it again till Christmas day and if you don't love it then there' 'Aint no pleasing you!" rabbit rabbit :-) Gercha, enough said WATCH IT
The Best Xmas ad ever! Lots of onions here... and not tired to watch it again!
