I think the one major flaw this show has, is how it treats Amber like she's the best human ever when she's clearly a crappy person. The writers really need to reevaluate their adaptation of her in this show because she really isn't it.

Villain
Eve is her middle name. Her first name is Samantha so her full name is Samantha Eve Wilkins
3:11 - Interesting thing about that is, you might actually be right. Carl Winslow was the name of the father character on Family Matters. The actor who played Carl is Reginald Vel Johnson. If you pause at the establishing shot of Mark's high school, the name of the school he attends is Reginald Vel Johnson High School. I doubt this was a coincidence. (Googled it, apparently in the comics, the character's name is B.N. Winslow - voiced by Reginald Vel Johnson. I refuse to believe he isn't canonically related to Carl.)
Family Guy, The Simpsons and most anime have been around for years created for adults but someone actually tried to knock you for watching Invincible? Ridiculous.
5:10 an imported Maple should be expensive.
so they're atleast on episode 7 now so it's not a spoiler, how does amber go from being someone you agree with of like 90-95% to just being THE WORST? like what the hell why did they make her so frustrating towards the end of the season?
Yeah, like why complain? Just leave. Why stay with someone who constantly lies and no shows? Maybe she's one of those people that seek validation/attention from someone that withholds it...idk
@@hulkslayer626 it's the fact that she says she knew he was a superhero or something but is still bitchy about it? Like he has known her for 6 months and the way she acts its the right call to not be honest about his idententy🤣
@@kuivia exactly. She should have just left. Why would you stay with someone like that?
@@hulkslayer626 boggles the mind, either you're fine with it or you're not I really don't get why they forced that drama and ruined her character haha
Also the high school is Reginald Vel Johnson High.
this episode is the best way to show that omni man wasn't completely wrong when it came to having punched invincible as hard as he did
"I'm not watching a cartoon?" That guy doesn't know what he's missing. Sure Invincible maybe a "cartoon", but it definitely not for kids. I love this show. I've already watched what they have for season 2 so far. In fact I want to see "The Boys" because of this show.
"How dare Mark get brutally beaten and put in the hospital while trying to make the city a better place when he was supposed to meet Amber in the soup kitchen!"
Seems obligatory to place this quote at this point in every Invincible reaction. 😁
But yeah, about Battle Beast; without spoiling further, at least part of why Omni-Man didn't intervene in Mark's beating is he didn't stand much chance against Battle Beast, either.
when viltrimites almost die they become resistant to that force
mark becomes one of the most powerful because he gets his ass kicked so much
9:40 used that you know what guilt to trap his ass 😆
Make sure you watch the Atom Eve special after this season
😂The voices in invincible are so smooth i be thinking maple and ariana are the ones talking, it kinda overlaps
I like this show, but does anyone else agree they drop the ball conveying some plot points? Like that Martians are shapeshifters
We see the Martians shapeshift several times.
battle beast is one of the most powerful characters in invincible
the way it was described to me is its as if king pin hired thanos to beat up spiderman
1:33 to me he’s like Luke Cage except he kills the criminals
Cartoons/animation is the best , they can eat it. We enjoy you queens
Im a bit late for this reaction, but regarding 'not wanting to watch a cartoon' - I understand that people have this impression that cartoons are for children, but many cartoons, animated movies, and anime are excellent stories with amazing messages and character depth that really make an impression on the viewer, like Invincible. Whoever believes this, I invite you to watch the top rated cartoons/animated movies/anime to dispel any impressions you have that this is just a childish waste of time
the amber and eve ship is quite strong here
Terrible ship imo
I want them to react the last airbender trailer so bad.
Dang woke up to see this video is at 2pm. Idk I was sad cuz I had to go to work. Nobody showed up so I left. Idk maybe fired idc. It’s 630 now it’s time to watch this video. Give Rex a break yeah? Or not lol
23:20 Either they're a liar or they don't realize that almost every other movie and show in the past 20 years is based on a book, comic book/graphic novel, or a video game. Sandman, Game of Thrones, Houseof the Dragon, Walking Dead - all 6 shows - Invincible, Last of Us, Castlevania, Dragon's Dogma, Sonic, Mario, the list is pretty long. Seems weird to gatekeep comic books specifically out of being legitimate things to watch. Especially when t here are hundreds of terrible reality shows you could watch instead.
Nolan not interfering was a good thing. Battle Beast would've destroyed him
Battle beast. God emperor of his planet. Legit undefeated. Master of all weapons. This scenario is as if kingpin hired Thanos to beat up spiderman.ljk3 wut
23:10 time to start watching anime then
people who disrespect animation or call it just a cartoon baffle me! They're missing out on some of the most original, interesting, and sometimes even groundbreaking media just because they think anything animated is "childish." It's honestly sad
You guys are actually pretty close he was teaching him a lesson, that you can't trust everyone and that it's not black and white, but Mark's dad is also scared of battle Beast because Battle Beast could kill him that's why he sent in the Guardians
Omni-man can't beat Battle Beast. I think that's why he stayed out of it.
Omi man did warn mark about trusting titan.
Yes, but it's more like he was right for the wrong reasons. He doesn't want Mark listening to anyone but himself.
@@SnowyWolborg True.
I have followed this channel for over a year now. I have watched *countless* videos with Arianna and Maple. But today it's this video when and where I realize that "Right" and "Left" are not indeed their surnames, but merely their sitting positions relative on the screen. If you could excuse me now, I would like to hang my head in shame and never come back into these comments ever again... 😓
BATTLE-muthafuckin'-BEAST BABYYYYY
I’m not mad at Titan, like he said he didn’t lie. He might still do crime idk (I haven’t read the comics) but he at least is going to let the innocent people of the lower class neighborhoods live their lives unlike Machine Head.
Why are they’re 3 spider man references this episode 😭😭😭😭
I'm scared for the last two episodes. Those are gonna wreck these two watchers
Huh, had no idea they actually showed more of Omni man watching the fight
You know the show’s unrealistic when there’s beautiful, tall and buff dudes in alley ways smh
I think the one major flaw this show has, is how it treats Amber like she's the best human ever when she's clearly a crappy person. The writers really need to reevaluate their adaptation of her in this show because she really isn't it.
I think shows like Invincible and Bojack Horseman and probably another one i cant currently think of are helping break the stigma that animation is not just as worthy a storytelling medium as live action. Speaking of which id be yoir best buddy forever (or at least a while) if you were to react to Bojack Horseman. Im ready for another deep dive into feelings and hard topics again, but so few reactions out there.
Anime proves that perfectly
castlevania as well
Oh man if they hate Eve’s dad here, they would despise his comic counterpart. He’s so much grosser
it's a shame how much people miss out on because its animated or in black and white. I know people that refused to watch the Lion King because its animated but loved teh inferior "live action" version because it looked more real.
You're a rich kid from the suburbs
Yeah know your short comings
???
He's oblivious and doesnt get to talk down to titan cause he doesnt know anything about living a hard life "yet"
@@DiegesisExactly. Mark has skipped a few steps in being a superhero. He so strongly wants to do world saving things like his father does. But he never started small in his own city and has no idea where its crime is even coming from, etc. Repeating Nolan's "big picture" thing strongly makes him look like he doesn't care.
You’ve now met Battle Beast
