He wouldn't have passed up the chance to fight a full blooded Viltrumite, and a pretty strong one at that, but he would've gotten more bloodlusted and eviscerated Omni-Man, probably causing the rest of their deaths in the ensuing destruction and chaos. Battle Beast is straight up damn near the strongest character in the Invincible universe.

The school is named after the actor who played the dad on Family Matters, Reginald V. Johnson. The principle is named and modeled after the character he played on Family Matters, Carl Winslow. It's also Reginald Johnson voicing the character. It's something from the comic.
Also, the principal was the one who gave Mark the idea for his superhero name (in the comics).

@@TimothyGod I think the biggest thing is knowing that a lot of other people don't even stand a chance at defending themselves, and that's why heroes do what they do despite the risks and horror.

@@TimothyGod That is what it means to be a hero. When you have abilities that no one else has, you feel responsible to defend those who can't defend themselves. Basically "with great power comes great responsibility", even when things may seem scary.
I like the realistic biology/physics. In terms of superhuman strength, humans are incredibly fragile. We're blood bags made of balsa wood. So many superhero movies show someone with super strength knocking a human across the room but think that through. The amount of force required to send a grown man flying through the air would explode the man's skull.

@@theeLonelyRedPanda that's probably the biggest problem with spiderman. He's super strong but only his agility and reflexes are shown. A single punch from him knocks out/kills most of his usual enemies.
The excuse is usually that they were holding back, but yeah, knocking a normal human across a room with one punch would def be enough to shatter that person and turn them into a bloody crunchy meat bag

The ole realism in something that isn't at all realistic play. We have no idea what would happen with people strong enough to punch each other across a room because they don't exist.
@@Avocado11 Well if you're gonna play that game, lifting strength and striking strength are almost entirely different things, and striking strength is more dependent on the mass of your fist and body and the acceleration speed of such, so if your body were to be held still as the punch hits you it'd likely just impale you, with the force exploding out your sides and guts flying everywhere as a result, kinda like a bullet.
Mark really went to take out a local crime boss and ended up fighting one of the strongest beings in the galaxy
What kills me is how few people realize just how stupidly strong he is. He punched through Mark's super durable alien physiology like he was made of paper. That *really* should tell anyone watching a lot. And he's very clearly not giving this fight his all.

Battle Beast is canonically one of the most powerful characters in the Invincible series. The definition of "Certified Un-fuck-with-able".
My favorite fan reply to the question, "Why didn't Omni-Man help against Battle Beast?" was simply, "He can't." That answer told me everything I needed to know without saying too much.

Someone said that Machine Man hiring Battle Beast to fight Invincible was like Thanos beating up Spiderman because Kingpin asked him to and I think metaphor is spot on cause damn
Lobo would be a better comparison. Thanos would never work for anyone else but Lobo, and obviously Battle Beast, would and they both are motivated more by whatever the hell they feel like doing at the time than some grand plan despite being both so ridiculously powerful.

@@bnben8946 Yeah and Lobo is on Battle Beast level of power too. So my point still stands. Hell, Lobo and Battle Beast are considerably stronger than Thanos without his gauntlet since DC and the Invincible universe just have more powerful heroes and villains than Marvel in general. It also fits better thematically since both Lobo and Battle beast are savage brutes who fight for fun while Thanos is anything but that. Anyway, it's just an all-around better example.
On pure power Battle Beast is top two in the universe he inhabits, Thanos is not a bad comparison.

Battle Beast is voiced by Michael Dorn (Worf) from Star Trek TNG, DS9 and 90s early 2000 Star Trek films. Which I find amusing since Zachary Quinto (Spock) from the new Star Trek firms voices Robot.
I like how Atom Eve is basically Fullmetal Alchemist without having to clap her hands together.

Titan is kind of like "the ends justify the means" kind of guy. It was terrible of him to use Invincible to bring down Machine-head, but he might make his community better now that he is in charge.

I don't blame Titan for doing what he did. He tried to leave but Machine Head wouldn't let him. So instead of panicking or going on the run he killed 2 birds 1 stone. Got Machine Head out the picture & upgraded his family's situation.

First thought to your mind about titan is you want to be pissed at him, but he basically is a good guy at heart that is in a shady business. He wants to use any means to help his community type thing. So almost like a good bad guy.

Battle Beast is one of the most brutal, savage and badass comic characters I’ve ever seen.
Also I don’t hold any bad blood for Titan at all, he is a good guy deep down, he absolutely will run the city better, and with machine head out someone needs to fill the power vacuum so I’d rather it be him. And he never did lie to Invincible, nor did he “use” him. If you were in his position what would you have done?
Not going to disagree that he was dealt a bad hand, but he still pretty much used Invincible to get rid of Machinehead, allowing him to make a power play to climb to the top of the criminal underworld. The whole conversation with Isotope at the end showed that there was premeditation on his part in the very least.

Deep down doesn't really count when you decide to preside over organized crime. Dude decided to enable drug, gun, and human trafficking cause of his family instead of just stealing Machine Head's money.

here is the thing, Omni Man didn't call the guardian, Isotope or Titan did. That's the only way they could trick Machine head Cpu brain and get him caught. When Titan said that he made sure Isotope got busy, Machine head superbrain saw that coming, and asked Isotope to get Cat and Co. Then to counter it, Isotope or Titan called the guardians. Mark have been played by titan here

The reason why Omni-Man didn't help Mark is because he's afraid of Battle Beast.
Even though we all know Battle Beast is stronger, that can't be the full reason. He probably wanted to teach Mark a lesson but had no idea the Scourge of the Twin Galaxies would pop up.
It’s more like a “I told you so, now deal with this mess on your own” type situation, cause as of right now all the show only viewers know is that battle beast is a 1 off side villain/ paid mercenary who is decently strong. So kindly don’t ruin the battle beast hype ;)
