This is not only the first tutorial I found that actually got me up and running with UE in a way I understand, but it may very well be the best game dev tutorial I've ever seen
great tutorial video! The random ball spawner almost always spawn my ball at the center even the print was very slight x and y variation almost identical for some reason. My blueprint looks identical to the one at 33:55 to my eyes.
I finally figured this out bc I had the same issue. I was adjusting the box in the "transform" part, but it has to be done under "Box Extent" which is under "Shape." Maybe that will help you.
Awesome tutorial! In 51 minutes you've gone through a lot of helpful information, with just the right level of detail for every topic. I consider this tutorial from a beginner's perspective 10/10. Keep up the excellent work! :D Peace!
Thank you so much :D I was actually struggling a lot trying to find the right balance between making a short video or making a detailed video. I'm glad it seems like I was able to hit a good balance after all.
This is a very quick and clean presentation of what Unreal can do. I am a Unity refuge so this is blowing my mind as zero coding is involved yet I recognize every single element involved in making a game
@@CobraCode i kindly ask you to answer my question its important I have only 8GB of Ram is thats enough for me to use unreal engine for basic projects (before working on my dream project that I was working on in unity) ?
Hey 8GB should be fine for very basic things, but you're probably gonna hit a ceiling when you wanna use more advanced features. catnessgames.com/blog/unreal-engine-5-equirements/ @@madduckling4436
@@CobraCode Thank you if I could run the engine itself without alot of issues I could work around the advanced features thanks alot for answering I've been completely lost since Unity's last decision and its been rough for me , I'll following your course here ❤
Thank you very much for this tutorial! It was very clear, the speed of speech was what was needed, and you didn't use some other models/materials that we have to import. I've already tried about 5 tutorials and this one is THE BEST!
This is the most I've learned about blueprints in one video in such a short amount of time. I have never seen it explained so clearly to where there was zero question in my mind how it all worked. Great job and subbed
I've attempted to learn Unreal so many times and I keep giving up... but this is the first tutorial where the concepts are really starting to click for me! Thanks so much and I'm excited to keep pushing forward on this journey!!
Thank you so much, this is the first Unreal 5 BP tutorial that is actually easy for me to comprehend and get results right away. More videos like this would be much appreciated, keep up that good work!
Of all the UE5 tutorials I've watched this is by far the best! you are very good at explaining what each node does and it made it very easy to follow and actually learn! Thanks, will be watching all your tutorials now!
Great tutorial. To make the platform go up and down I added a third keyframe to return to 0 then clicked the loop button. I didn't have to add anything beyond that.
Thank you so much man, helped me get started. thank u for actually explaining why we use every node n what it does insead of just making us follow along without understanding :)
This tutorial is great! It's very easy to understand and you explaining a lot, so I could catch some additional knowlage. As a begginer I can say that your video was big help and I can finally begin working on my small game. Definitely gonna watch your other videos :D
Greatly appreciate this tutorial glad I found this cause I struggled to find a video that wasn't too long but explained what needed to be explained, Thankyou :D
Awesome :D That was exactly what I was aiming for! A lot of vids are 3 hours long, but I was trying to keep it short and still cover everything that was needed. Glad it seemed to have worked out!
This tutorial is amazing! i started not knowing how to use blueprints at all, and not knowing what i was doing, and at the end i could basically finish the scripts without your help! (almost)
Incredible video, thank you! One thing that I imagine you're aware of by now but you can also alt + click on a pin to break the connections in the blueprint editor! Thanks again!

My man. I searched for good tutorial about blueprints and you do great work not skipping things and adding tips. Can you please make more videos like this ? would be happy to pay for your tutorials if u make more.
@@LuciousKage Thank you :D Currently most of my viewers want content about making 2D games with UE, so I'm currently focusing on that and also making a Udemy course about that. However eventually I want to also do more videos like this for beginners that want to make 3D games like this one!
@@CobraCode Would really appreciate 3D, yeah. However they probably share most core concepts and mechanics. I'm a C++ developer and trying to learn BPs over native C++ takes some time. Also the EpicGames docs are kinda bad.
Thank you so much! I haven't touched Unity in about 4 years, but I'm starting a teaching position at a school soon, so I might have to pick it up again to support students that are using that instead of UE. If I ever was to make Unity tutorials I would probably create a second channel for that! But even then it would probably be a few years off. Still have so many things I wanna do in Unreal Engine first!
@@CobraCode I see. Could you make a video that elaborates on your channel trailer targeting beginners who want overall perspective for outlining everything overall you might want to focus on etc
Took a few days because adulting is hard, but I just finished this tutorial. Thanks for the upload. I'm thrilled something like blueprint exists as I have never coded or programmed anything before.
Also something that people may not expect to be a problem or might not know why their project is running slow, is right before you create your project, you can change your quality preset to scalable instead of maximum so it starts if at lower settings for less beefy computers! You can change this in the editor though even if it's not initially changed!
