      Ta-mesh-ee, is how I believe it should be read, any Japanese speakers to back me up/shut me down?
      EDIT The ‘ta’ in Tameshi definitely isn’t pronounced as ‘toe’, now I’m losing it 😖

    I had a deck like this back when the original Kamigawa was in standard.
    I used Oboro Breezecaller, a creature with the activated ability 2, Return a land you control to its owner's hand: Untap target land.
    Then, I put an enchantments on the land that makes it tap for bonus mana, return all my land to my hand, and cast an 8-mana game-ending spell.
    I used Endless Swarm.

    Since you play Eladmeri's Call in a blue deck you can leave a Subtlety, Solitude, and/or Endurance in main deck as an emergency hedge for some wonky situations. Or at least sideboard

    @syklonic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This made me think of a very janky combo for infinite damage/landfall: Tameshi, Molten Vortex, Lotus Cobra, any artifact land that can make red or white. Swap vortex for Trade Routes and it's draw your deck or Amok for a very large creature.

  • @jennadarck9864
    @jennadarck9864 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    i feel like this deck could use a one of huge artifact to reanimate that you can get off extra welders when you already have the bloom in the hand or the yard. that way you arent locked by not having collosus war gate or finale and can win through counters (assuming they dont get the tameshi)

    • @dinnerpartyempire

  • @Cornelius135
    @Cornelius135 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m personally a huge fan of Titan and Dryad with Tameshi, since they are essentially free cause they replace the lands you bounced - could be a way to make the deck’s “fair” game a little stronger and still have colossus for the finish

  • @miloreinhart
    @miloreinhart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Small thing to nitpick, but is there any reason to run spell pierce in the sideboard over flusterstorm?

  • @austinseto7752
    @austinseto7752 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder if it's worth it to throw in an Ichor Wellspring or two just to tutor out with Goblin Engineer. Then you can loop them with another artifact to get some consistent card draw to grind out some games.

    Hope of Ghirapur could be a good one in that 'teferi' slot. It's an artifact so Engineer can find it.

      the problem is it has to deal dmg to an opponent first

      @@saiconjr hey if it eats a removal or counterspell, that's one less. And then you could still rescur it before casting moonfolk Man.
      This combo is still a little unknown, so opponents might be hesitant to pull triggers on a little 1/1

    • @cruetusnex
      @cruetusnex 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RiKSh4w if you deal damage to them that turn with the hope, you can no longer haste them down with a giant colossus, because you'll be done with your combat for that turn...

      @@RiKSh4w you're right, but there's no point pretty often. I think t3feri is just way too good not to run unless you need to build on a budget.

  • @alexwhitman7940
    @alexwhitman7940 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is kind of a rules question. So I was working on something similar with Tameshi and Lotus Bloom. My idea was to target a land such as Lotus Fields because it is Hexproof. As such I’m under the impression it cannot be bounced by Tameshi’s ability. But as I’m reviewing the rules for Hexproof, this doesn’t seem to be something that works, since Hexproof says OPPONENT’S spells and abilities. Am I correct in that this isn’t a real combo?

    • @Awesomesausages
      @Awesomesausages 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You, as the controller of Lotus Field, can indeed still Target the Field. However, it's also worth noting that Shroud (Hexproof that also poopoos your spells and abilities) wouldn't help either. Tameshi's cost simply states to return a land to your hand: you do not Target the land.

      Tameshi isn't infinite infinite, it's limited by the number of lands you have in play - you need an effect to put more lands into play to really break it, thus vultivator colossus. I think 1 thoracle as a backup win condition (after finale) would be a good include, but that shouldn't be this decks main plan as you can run out of draws
