The Queen of Blood was so good! I read it this month and I can’t wait to read the next one. It has interesting creatures and magic, a loyal wolf, zip lining, and strong female friendships. I bought the three books in the series from Book Outlet too and I’m so glad I did.

I've been kinda saving to buy books in January (I live in Lagos, Nigeria, so um I tend to buy my books in bulk and then ship them all at the same time) and I was feeling guilty because there are a looooooooooooooooooot of books and I was worried that it would be too much. Every time you take such joy in your large book hauls it helps me deal with all the voices and doubts. Fairytale is sooooo amazing!!!! I'm sure you will enjoy it. You said dragons and I immediately remembered. I think Fairyloot's December theme is dragons. Did you subscribe? (asking cuz you said you wanted to try out other subscription boxes)

I really enjoyed the Queen of Blood! I haven't read the second one but the first one was really unique and different from a lot of mainstream fantasy at least what i've seen on booktube

"By Cassandra Clare and . . . friends" I legitimately write down Cassie Clare & Friends when I'm listing her books hahaha. In my opinion, the Shadowhunter Academy bind up is beautifully done. I think that's in part because Simon and Izzy are my OTP. So if you enjoy them together, you'll probably enjoy that bind up. I liked the Bane bind up, but not as much.
Flame in The Mist really barely reminded me of Mulan tbh! I remembering being very disappointed because I love Mulan, and it just didn't reach my expectations. I feel like its more "(loosely) inspired by". Just a heads-up so maybe you enjoy it more (for what it is) than I did! :) Great haul!

I’ve grabbed the black collectors edition of ADSOM too and am going to keep collecting those editions just because the covers are SO MUCH NICER than the English paperback.

I have the Queen of Blood, the Reluctant Queen and the last one! They’re genuinely so so gorgeous and it’s honestly going to be so cool seeing your opinions on the depth of adult fantasy. Doggos make everything better.
I haven’t read Uglies though I’ve heard a lot of people talk about them but sounds like an intriguing dystopia. It’s always interesting to see how people remark on physicality and technology and dystopias are a great vehicle for things like that.

TOKAK IS REALLY GOOD when you know it's a romance mainly. Like the blurb sells it as way more of a savage rivalry than what it actually turned into which was a very human orientated romance so just be weary.

Warcross was a book I never thought I would read either, I just didn’t think I would be interested in this kinda sci-fi. But then I picked it up on audio and it was soso good!!
It completely drew me in and the plot took turns I never would’ve expected!
I feel like we have very similar reading tastes so you should totally pick it up soon and hopefully you’ll love it as well 💓
Also despite what many said I loved the second book even more, there was so much character development and it got sooo intense!
Maybe it helped that I had kinda low expectations haha

Oh I’m so glad you got the And I Darken and Raven Cycle series, they are two of my all time favorites! I really really enjoyed Flame in the Mist, but Smoke was a disappointment of epic proportions. Also excited to see The Little Prince - it’s on my tbr, too! And definitely read Pride and Prejudice, I adore it!

the more i see the kingdom of ash cover the more i fall in love with it lol at first i hated the yellow but i kind of dig it now! also i desperately need to start on a darker shade of magic!! i own the book and i've read like the first 30 pages but i just haven't finished it
Honestly SAME on KoA, everyone was so annoyed that it didn't match the rest of the series, but it's been growing on me! And I feel like you definitely have to be in the right mood for ADSOM! Cause the first book took me a while to get into, too!

My kids and I watched The Little Prince on Netflix and they LOVED it, so I bought them the book with an audiobook cd. It's sooo good!

Amazing Book Haul! From this list of books you bought I wanna read Queen of Blood, The Last Namsara, To Kill a Kingdom, Even the Darkest Stars and Shadow of the Fox hahaha and I want to read the Throne of Glass series, of course (I hope Santa will bring the collector's edition of throne of glass this christmas :p).
Also, Letters to the Lost has been one of the best contemporary books I've read this year. Its sequel too. I hope you'll like it!

You should totally watch the Fairy Tail anime show!!! It’s just as good as the Manga. I’ve watched the show twice or three times. I highly recommend it!!

Honestly The Bane Chronicles was just an okay read. I do think there are certain easter eggs that pop up through the main series from it. However, I would highly recommend Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy. It was fantastic and most of the stories were really well done

The And I Darken series is FABULOUS but fair warning, the first book is super slow. You gotta push through to get to the second, which is way faster

ALSO if you love Greek mythology you should totally check out Lore Olympus on WEBTOON (it’s a webcomic app) I don’t really read comics but I saw it on an Instagram ad and started reading and the artwork is STUNNING and it follows the myth of Hades and Persephone 👀

I loved loved loved The Queen of Blood! I recently got a review copy (German Edition) and I adored it. (Though writing the review was a little difficult 🙈) It’s so different and the mc is very cool! Oh and I didn’t even know that they are not YA ..
And Even the Darkest Stars has the most wonderful setting! I love it just for that.

Remember me by M. F. Masvil is a very recent novel and it is excellent. An actual story, where the theme of past lives and the afterlife are seen in an unforgettable adventure full of action. Do not miss it! That novel is a must.
If you want another good series/author - Lynette Noni; who writes the Medoran Chronicles, and a book that is only one at the moment, but apart of the series called "Whisper" - she is an Australian author, and just so amazing (and also as well super friendly too - having seen her in person 4 times now and gotten all my books of hers signed, personally!!!).
But it's just such a good series, and the last book is going to be coming out in Feb for the Medoran Chronicles. All of which can be found on Book Depository.

I got A Million Junes in my Book of the Month box forever ago and I finally picked it up. It was not that good. I'm actually unhauling it. It sounded so good, and the synopsis was everything I normally read. But I was so disappointed in it :(

Honestly the Queen's of Renthia trilogy by Sarah Beth Durst has been one of my favourite reads. While it is adult fantasy, it's similar to the Tearling series in that it's fairly easy for a reader used to a YA style to jump into. These series are both more on the character driven side and the adult part of them almost makes it like... oh no super generalising here, but it makes it like a YA book... but with consequences.
That's a terrible thing to say. Also I read and love a lot of YA so what am I even talking about. I don't know. I love these two series so much.
Oh! And also both of those series, while having established magic systems, aren't anywhere near as intensely technical as some of the more prominent works of adult fantasy. They make for a really great transition.
