- In this episode I make my way to the Eastern Sierra where i follow my inspiration to see where I end up. I find some amazing places on the way! Don't miss this epic overlanding journey through the Eastern Sierra in my Jeep Gladiator.

I feel you, take care of the rig first, don't be a slave to 1/week. I for one will wait. Best quality on TH-cam!
Great to hear! Turns out it’s the front driveshaft.
Gladiator owner.....that sound is one of two things, neither being the FAD or front differential. If you have a stock front driveshaft on a lifted Gladiator, it's gonna die and make that sound. The sounds comes from the transfer case side joint failing, the rubber grease seal squeezes out along with all of the grease, and then she's done and will start clicking like any old honda with worn CV shafts. Get an aftermarket driveshaft from Adams Driveshafts (Vegas) or Tom Woods (Utah). They ship ultra fast. If that isn't the issue, it's your Universals in the front stub shafts, they are easy to check for wear and play. Any competent shop can replace them and you can do it too.
@@iamblaineful thank you so much for the advice. As it turns out you are spot on. Just waiting for my new Adams driveshafts to arrive. Finally gonna do my re-gear too. I’ll be back out there in a few weeks.
Awesome. Good to hear.
Great Video! loved it! And the music is top notch! 😅👍👌
Your appreciation means a lot to me! I put a lot of effort into selecting the right music for each video.
Defining the destination in terms of temperature, that a true wanderer.
Hahaha!
Great intro!
Thanks!
I'll be looking forward to your Sonora Pass video, I have connections with that area as my grandparents had a cabin in Long Barn and I have fond memories of summers there. Hope you get your Jeep fixed.
Right on. Thank you. I’ve been up there a lot lately
The Sonora pass video is called Secret Sierra. Part 2 to this video will be up there too.
@@losburrosoverland Oh, I guess I already watched that one, didn't recognize anything in it but maybe the next one.
It's the front drive shaft The Front CV in the drive shaft is bad. Very easy to replace. Under $100 bucks
I’m taking it in today. I’m praying that it’s something simple like that . Thanks for the input!
Just remove the drive shaft before taking it in and see if it does anything before spending money
Love the eastern sierra’s!!! Thanks for sharing , look forward to your videos and exploration….
Thanks for tuning in!
Wow great capture of that area. You killed it. Super great content. Best on TH-cam in my opinion. Thanks for the shout out. Coyote!!!!!🤔➡️
Right on! Thanks buddy!
Another great video! Hope you get the issues resolved on the Jeep. Nothing worse than worrying about your rig when in the middle of nowhere. Trade that thing in for a GX460. You will wonder why you didnt do it years ago.
Haha! Thinking of getting one for a backup. Love those.
We just did Coyote Flat last weekend!! it was awesome but hot AF
Nice! Yeah as soon as I get my Jeep out of the shop I'm heading back out there. Weather permitting. Was it also hot at the higher elevation?
@@losburrosoverland Not so bad at 11k but 8500 or 9k were pretty hot!!
@@theangrycamper yikes
GET THE Z AUTOMOTIVE EXTERNAL SENSOR
@@hdloghome got it!
Leave it in 4lo going up and over steep obstacles. Dont use it as needed, leave it engaged.
I usually do but there’s something wrong with it currently. That’s why I’m using it sparingly.
Maybe transfer case chain stretched
I’ll have some answers this week.
Front driveshaft maybe?🤷🏿♂️
Yep. Just found out today.
That noise is your front driveline. Very common issue for jeeps
I mean it's a Jeep unfortunately... FCA products are crap. I've owned a 14' Grand Cherokee myself and it left me in limp mode at Eureka Dunes. I'm all Toyota now and haven't had a single issue.
Taking it in tomorrow so we’ll see.
Fun is always expensive. I've done "expensive" with hot rods, off road, boats, hot rods for a second time, glamping, and now off road again.
The most expensive thing though, is a divorce. Just saying.
Hahaha! That makes sense.
Dont mean it mean. Dont buy a Jeep
too late
