    Nature a created thing gives you a glimpse of the personality of God and just how amazing He really is. Every time I do a trip in the woods I feel His presence all around me and so do most people they just can't recognize what it is that they are truly feeling. Great video love the music choices as well. God Bless 👍from me.😎

    Verve is great coffee! My favorite local shop around Santa Cruz. I can’t seem to even start to fly my drone without crashing it. Frustrating! Great pilgrimage you captured! You are totally right how incredible it is you can be surfing the beautiful ocean in the morning and be on your way into a mountain adventure a couple hours later! Love it here!

    Great video! My brother and I have done some of these trails on our motorcycles, it’s a great area! Growing up in Colorado, everyone used to prescribe eating ginger (usually candied ginger) for altitude sickness. No clue if it actually works, but that was the common cure for it in the Rockies!

    You are in my stomping grounds. I knew you were heading to Pinecrest Peak before you said it because I recognized literal trees on Herring Creek road in the video. Locals have names for the campsites. The overlook is just called "the lookout". You can see a bunch of valley towns from there at night. Also camped at the second spot with a view featured. That's a great spot as well. Views of Eagle Peak, Bear Valley, and the Dardanelles.

    Man, that makes me want to revisit that area and explore some more of it. I wasn't sure how much of that wasn't burned in the fire that happened several years ago. As for the coffee, I grind my beans and use a percolator coffee pot, no instant for me, I like it good and strong. Great video as usual!

    Many of those dead trees are the result of bark beetles. As the climate warms, bark beetles' populations are exploding, as less sub-freezing days means more time/opportunity for the little critters to attack trees and grow their numbers. Those dead trees burn much easier in low and medium intensity wild fires... and we're only really beginning to scratch the surface of the complexity of our conifer forests. Did you know that Beavers help mitigate wildfires as well?

    • @losburrosoverland
      @losburrosoverland  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didn't know that about beavers. Is it because they are cutting down the dead standing trees?

    • @OverlandTrailGuides
      @OverlandTrailGuides 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@losburrosoverlandthey create perennial riparian zones that keeps more water in the mountain creeks, streams and rivers. Riparian environments act as a buffer against wildfires.

    We're not in a draught and it's not that hot. Dense forest is a reason they're dying? C'mon. Those trees are sick. That forest is suffering from Beetle or some kind of pathogen.
