Zombies are meant to be slow and stupid (they are literally dead and decaying it makes no sense thru could do this stuff). I’d rather have generic then this garbage.
So glad I stopped watching this crap. I stopped watching a few episodes into season 7 but had a friend who wanted to watch season 7 and onward with me and so I did but we stopped at the end of season 9. And we both hated it so we stopped watching it. I was only watching it cause he did and I’m so glad we didn’t go past that cause of the crap that was said in this video. Not to mention how dumb Jesus’s death was. Up there with Tyreese for dumb deaths. But Jesus’s was worse. Fuck this show after season 5. Season 6 was alright at the beginning but quickly went downhill.

@fortniteisgud8222 that's kinda the points. Make the first season generic so later on they can do some interesting stuff. Imagine having a ton of interesting stuff in season one, and then already running out of ideas by the times they're on season 3
Might be a bit unpopular, but S2 is my favorite. Although it had some dumb moments in the show (Lori, the well scene, and some other stuff) but Shane carried the season and it was probably the season where everyone felt like they had a part to play in the overall story. It set up the stakes of the living being more dangerous than the dead and how the group needs a sanctuary to survive the apocalypse.
Season 2 is a good season, I think it definitely dips down in the middle but it starts out really strong and ends really strong and Shane is an amazing character played by an amazing actor. It's not my favorite but people really shit on it.
Season 2 might be my favorite!
The Well scene was sick, one of my fav zombies in the show

I agree 💯, I think back when season 2 first came out we weren't expecting it to be 13 episodes and probably seemed long at the time because season one was only six episodes so they crammed all the action and drama in one season....I still loved season 2 back then but even more overtime
Season 5 is my favorite. From terminus to killing the cannibals to on the road and then getting to Alexandria. Great season

I also love in Season 2 when it flashes back to Shane, Lori, Carl stuck on the interstate, and they see the military bombing the streets of Atlanta. So creepy.
Season 2 has way better actors and characters than the later seasons. So underrated. Introducing Hershel was great, the Rick/ Shane dynamic is what held the show together in the beginning.
Season 2 was great. I just thought Lori and Andrea were annoying bitches through out.
I actually love the structure of Season 6.
First half is about our group trying to control the walkers by herding them away from their community… then the 2nd half shows the introduction of the Saviors and we have the Saviors herding our group to them in the woods in the finale
Not a fan of the first half of Season 6. Rewatching it had me throwing my hands in the air questioning wtf are they even doing LOL the whole herd plot is really dumb and the wolves were the worst antagonists in the series. Thankfully the 2nd half of Season 6 is Golden
@@MistahJay7 what’s dumb about the herd story? The wolves weren’t supposed to be deep villains or anything. They were just there to be a pawn in making the herd situation way worse for Alexandria

The main thing about watching the walking dead is to learn. Whatever you have someone else wants. Whatever you own someone wants to own. Wherever you live someone wants it. The program shows human response to tragedy and what humans will do to survive. All aspects of it. That’s why I love The Walking Dead.
Seasons 4-6 is my absolute favorite chunk of the series. From the stacked cast, to the way that so much of the comic material was adapted so well, if not even better than the original (such as Terminus and the intro to Alexandria).
Season 4’s end to the Prison arc was very satisfying in my opinion, that midseason finale with Hershel’s death was great, and while the back half slowed things down, I really enjoyed the intro to Abraham’s crew and the inclusion of the Claimers group. That finale with Rick ripping out the guy’s throat is iconic!
Season 5 and 6 are near perfect to me (outside the Beth hospital arc in s5, and the Glenn dumpster fakeout in s6 [I actually DONT hate the Negan cliffhanger too much]), rounding up my top 2.
All three of those seasons are in my top 5 🙏🏾
I agreed with you up until Season 6. I think season 6 was when the writing and creative decisions starting slipping

Season 7 may not be the greatest, but the premiere episode is top notch. Negans introduction may be the most tense of anything in the series
Their biggest mistake was not following multiple storyline in one episode. Only a few of the filler single-character episodes actually warranted that focus (the Kingdom intro and the Daryl episode). Same for season 8. I genuinely love the story of every season. It just should've all been shorter.
I feel like negan’s introduction is the best about negan tho negan as a villian was awesome but after that negan’s character was repetitive slow boring and not really good tbh
Season 7 sucked mostly because of all the boring ass bottle episodes. If they didn’t do that then it would have been amazing
I didn't know S2 had hate. I loved it, it was the season that set up the idea that characters can act completely different towards the world of zombies (Shane snapping, Carl becoming more cold, Hershel being in denial, Carol's heartbreak, Glen and Maggie's hopeful romance). I also felt it was the only 13+ episode season that really executed a season long story. Easily in the top 3 for me personally.
Same here. I don't think I've heard anyone say they didn't like season 2. Has some of the best dialogue and character development in the series.
I remember season 2 was hated on alot for being “low-budget”. Looking back now this season had some of the best acting performances and took its time to give its characters development. Season 3 started throwing in some mindless action moments that just got mind numbing in later seasons.
I have never understood the hate for it either. I enjoyed season 2 alot. The barn episode and the finale were just incredible. I am also one of the people who hated to see Shane go. Bc you later realize just how right Shane was
That season got allot of hate in the early days of twd, but over time it just grew on people, it grew on me.
1. Season 5-The focus on survival, the arrival at Alexandria, and a rapid pace through explosive plots were all amazing, plus Rick, Carol and the rest of the group were at their best
2. Season 4-first half was an interesting change of pace, and the conclusion of the Governor conflict and the exciting second half were some of the best parts of the show
3. Season 3-The Governor was such a complex villain, along with improved balance of action, characterization and tons of character deaths
4. Season 6-So many high highs with some of the best episodes and moments of the show, but too many pointless fake-outs holds it back from the top 3
5. Season 2-Slower paced, but one of the best casts and Shane’s building craziness in the second half was really interesting
6. Season 1-Awesome introduction and the directing by Frank Darabont adds so much atmosphere
7. Season 9-Great return to form with quick pacing and scary villains, but no Rick holds it back a little
8. Season 7-A bit underrated as there’s some nice character development and moments, but way too stretched out and the writing started to get very shaky
9. Season 10-Negan was amazing, but the Whisperers became cartoons and the season was packed with filler
10. Season 8-Slightly improved in the second half, but incoherent action and muddled motivations ruined the war’s potential
11. Season 11-Hot take, but the season was super dull, there were barely any great characters left, and the Reapers were pointless

@@Hardrive2677 9 is definitely better than 2, 3, and 6. People look at 2 and (especially) 3 with nostalgia lenses. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both but they're being severely overrated. 2 and 3 at the time of release were TRASHED. We now have the benefit of binging but watching it at the time of release (I did) was painful.

9 being better than 3 and 6 isn’t an insane take I can see where you’re coming from there. Season 2 still has great dialogue and writing much like the first season. Even though Darabont left halfway through it still keeps the same tone of the first.

2. Season 5 (Probably would've been 1 if it wasn't for that terrible police arc.)
3. Season 1 (Perfect beginning even though it sorta slows down by the last 2 episodes.)
4. Season 9 (Perfect new beginning to the story after the abysmal 8. A clear difference in writing and character understanding. Barely any filler, horror vibes were brought back to the show with the Whisperers.)
5. Season 6 (Would've been rated higher if it wasn't for the cliffhanger, and some questionable decisions (Glenn dumpster "death", etc.)
6. Season 3 (Good, but overrated season)
7. Season 2 (Shane carried)
8. Season 10 (I'm not counting the pointless filler episodes btw. Only 10x1 to 10x16.)
9. Season 11(Better than the comic commonwealth arc but still not enough.)
10 Season 7 (If only it kept the same level of quality as the first episode...)
11. Season 8 (Borderline Unwatchable)
This show changed my life because of it I met my wife because of a fan fiction I wrote. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

Killing Carl is my only major complaint, 7 and 8 were a bit slow but overall I love the show. I think it will age well
They really fucked Chandler Riggs over big time trying to spin the narrative that he left of his own volition so people would come for him instead of the showrunners. He confirmed that was not true and he wanted to stay on the show but didn’t have a choice.
The whole thing is just very shady and left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m glad he’s doing fine on his own without TWD. I know for sure he streams on Twitch and has a decent sized following there, so good for him.
I just started watching it over the past few months. I am on season 7 now (already read pivotal spoilers weeks ago, was naive to trust the internet when looking up General info) and the biggest gripe I have of this season is not the pacing really, it's that it doesn't hold up as well as earlier seasons.
I don't know if their special effects team got an overhaul around this time or what but between the deer at the fair, Rick and Michonne's "zombie bowling" with the trip wire and Rick standing on top of the trash heap, the special effects look crappy. That's not to say the effects always looked super realistic in earlier seasons but they did a better job of stylizing them.
And due to the bad special effects, it's harder for me to buy into characters like King Ezekiel and Jadis, who are more over-the-top by nature. The introduction of all these factions seems a bit rushed if anything as well and the show has an overall different tone compared to the early seasons.
@@mct18 not to mention that bullets don't penetrate cars, not a single bullet hole on them. It's so terrible 😂
That choice along with all of the bs gossip that came along with it really killed this show for me.
Killing Carl really killed my love of the show. It felt like what’s the point of watching this show. Killing a child in a story isn’t a major problem for me, but doing it over and over just seems like torture porn at some point.

Was glad to see s9 get some credit here. The imagery, filming, and writing was so impressive even by early season standards

Great review man. I fell off hard after the season 7 premier. Seasons 3-6? I had never been more excited watching a show in my life. Every time that intro hit, chills. Literally. Love the shirt too man. “Best out of 7?? DAMN RIGHT!!!!” Gotta love Death.
I’m a huge The Walking Dead fan of both the comics and the tv show. Glad to see you have done a review of it. Personally I loved all the seasons of the show. Given that they made different choices from the comics I think they did a fantastic job. Season 9 was my personal favourite the on screen adaptation of the whisperers was done much better in the show. I honestly don’t get the hate for season 7. I love how season 6 ended. Ricks look of fear was amazing.
I love Seasons 6 ending and Season 7 overall too. The cliffhanger wasn't as big a deal as people make it out to be. It's called "Last day on Earth" because we get to see someone's last day from their perspective. WHO it is, is irrelevant. The first episode of S7 tells its own separate story and it wouldn't work if it wasn't for the cliffhanger.
Season 6 cliffhanger isn’t bad anymore now that we know who Negan killed, but it was the worst thing ever back in the day. The summer of 2016 was a pain to get through
The thing I’ll say about the episodes that are considered “filler”… I do believe it adds to the story by making me care more about the characters. Even if it’s just showing them doing something not that important to the overall story. It’s not good for week to week viewing but works well for binge watching.
As someone who just binged 78 episodes in a month...I don't think it plays well either way.
@@CodyLeachYT it really depends on your interest in the characters I feel like. I’m not nearly as emotional for character deaths in other shows but because TWD spends SOO much time with these characters, it’s hard not to become so attached.
Episodes like 4x12 (the one where Beth looks for Alcohol the whole episode) is certainly not needed for the overall story, but it does make me care more about Beth and Daryl and adds to their bonding.
I get why it’s not for everyone but I can appreciate it for what it is.
The difference is, the first few seasons of the show didn't need filler and bottle episodes in order for you to care for any of the characters. In 6 episodes I cared about everyone in the group in S1 then I did over multiple seasons of development for characters down the line. Good and efficient writing will always be superior to a drawn out cash grab.
@@jackieronimo8112 that’s because the earlier seasons had WAYY less characters so of course that would be the case. I’m not saying they have to be bottle episodes but I’m just saying that slower moments can sometimes build upon the characters. We can’t have massive story developing events happening every minute or else we’ll never get time to just learn about who we are watching.
@@Xpertfusion Okay but what I'm saying is the first season had more characters that I cared about despite having less episodes and time to develop them because the writing is 10x stronger. Pretty much past S9 I care about nobody. There's not much you can do to make me change my mind haha

I remember being a year 4 watching little pieces of episodes here and there from seasons 1-3 on both tv and at my aunties. I will always have fond memories of this show, no matter how much worse it gets.
Really interesting to hear your take on the later seasons of the show. As a once diehard TWD fan who stopped watching after Rick left and just got caught up recently, I definitely agree that the first two seasons were the best, especially S2 which is incredibly underrated. Kind of makes me wish Darabont stayed for the remainder of the series.

Masterpiece is a massive stretch. There were definitely entire halves of seasons in that timeframe that were pretty asscheeks. Season 2 is pretty bad, S3 part 2 is pretty lame, the whole group of episodes centering around Beth in the hospital was bad, like I think the majority of people look at the first several seasons of the show with rose tinted glasses. That being said, seasons 1 and 6 are straight heat. Every episode is a banger in both.

Glad to see you give Season 2 the credit it deserves. Something that plays into your point about them dragging storylines into the ground is that after Shane died I wished we could've seen more of him. That's how you want to leave the audience, not like it was with the Saviors mess etc. It's an insult to their remaining fanbase that they're making people watch not one spinoff, but three, to see how the story ends.

Cody I quit watching after season 7 as well! I haven’t watched it since but my sister stuck with it and said that when season 9 rolled around it started getting better again and encouraged me to check it out. This makes me want to finish it up

This was really the first story arc show that I ever watched and the first show I remember everyone watching and talking about in the early seasons and I’ll always appreciate it for that.

Season 1-5 is my favorite season season 11 when the reapers and Commonwealth came along I checked out 6-8 was okay 9-10 was good but 1-5 is always going to be my favorite
I Absolutely Love Season 1 and 2 because of the Orginal characters the orginal Atlanta Group with Rick, Shane, Daryl, Carl , Dale, Merle , Glenn, Andrea, T-Dog, Carol, Sophia and Even the smaller characters like Jim and Amy from Season 1! I Also like how in Season 1 and 2, the Zombies were an actual threat, it was all about survival against the zombies , there were no villians introduced besides the conflict between Rick and Shane which and I loved! Jon Bernthal Killed it as Shane and loved his perforance as Shane especially in Season 2! In the later seasons I found the zombies become more of a background and they focused heavily on villians which I didn't care too much for But I did enjoy David Morrissey performance as The Governor, fantastic actor and Jeffery Dean Morgon is great as Negan too but I like a balance between the Zombies and villians. In the later seasons you might not even see one single zombie on screen during the episode. Season 1 And 2 was Peak Walking Dead For Me in my opinion!
This show came out when I was in 10th grade of high school and during middle school and high school I had very bad depression and when I found this show on amc back on October 31st I got into it that one episode and did not stop watching until then and this show have been there for the rough spots of my life and for that I will forever stand up for this show and keep watching the spin offs when they come out because what I have been through

Dude, mostly everything you said I completely agree with. I watched another ranking recently that put seasons 8 & 9 over 1 & 2 and was so confused. The only thing I disagree with is your S9 placement because despite it being better than 7 & 8 I think the messiness of it puts it right next to S6 in terms of quality. Overall great video and insights.

I know that this has nothing to do with walking dead but has something to do with favorite TV shows. I've been watching Ray Donovan, and I saw your Season 4 review of it. Are you going to finish all of the Ray donovan reviews ? Are there any tips for the show? I'm on season 5, and I absolutely hate it
Season 2 was great, during the time when we first meet Hershel and when Shane was in the picture. The tension between some of the characters mainly Rick & Shane were great during season 2. Season 5 is honestly top 3 imo, and my personal favorite. There were so many bloody shootouts & satisfying deaths. Season 5 really captures the low of the characters and them trying so hard to survive in a brutal world, and really felt like a “survival season”
Even though we disagree on our placement, I respect your opinion! Thank you for getting back into it! After Rick left, Negan carried the show, when he's actually in episodes.

Season 11, I've only watched once in full. Upon a rewatch, it could go up or down. The Series Finale made it edge out season three. Glad someone else agrees with me of all the annoying walking in season 4 of this show. Some very good episodes, and a lot of walking. In my opinion S9 first 5 episodes with Rick was actually on the verge of bein overall better than S 7 an 8 an maybe even S 4 5 an 6 but once Rick Departed the show died for me. I liked the Whispers but without Rick it just felt like a different show. An then Maggie out of nowhere left an made a dumb reason why. I was bored of the show. Negon kinda carried the show. The first 5 episodes tho was really great tho..
But the show got boring. Imagine how great this show would of been if Rick an Maggie stayed longer..

This was actually more entertaining than S7. My only problem it was too dragged out. If they didn't drag it out I would of had this over S7. Despite S7 opener bein the most intense episode.

Negon character saved the show. He was my favorite. But it was also at times boring. I didn't like how they brought in so many groups. I did love how clever an funny Negon was. I liked seein Rick now finally getting his ass handed to him.. The first episode opener was the most intense out of all..
6. S6.
The first half was great but I thought second half was boring. I liked 2nd half of season 5 better than 6. Season 6 second half felt like same o same o. I liked the last episode cliffhanger tho.. This had potential to be better than S 5 an 4 but it failed with how boring S6 second half was.. I like no way out just wished more people should of died..
5. S5
I was so excited for this season opener. But after the Terminus war it got draggy. The hospital war with cops was ok nothing exciting tho. After 1st Half it got boring a little but not too bad.
4. S4
This was imo the scariest 1st half season out of 16 episodes seasons because of the outbreak, an how dark it was. I thought it had the scariest ending with first episode an that lady was creepy that went Looney like Rick. I thought after the war with Governor tho it got boring. Only liked 2 episodes in 2nd half..
3. S2
I like the farm it gave me nigh of the living Dead vibes with country look. I thought Season 2 was the best ending. It was a little draggy but I liked the Rick Shane an Lori trio story bein longer.. The last episode was my Top 5 favorite..
2. S1
I would of put this at 1# but only 6 episodes. They were all great..
The walkers was the best in this season because they was the most aggressive..
1. S3
I was disappointed in the ending.
Only 1 boring episode out of 16 which is impressive..
I loved humans at war with humans the first time an the prison background was the best..
The Governor was the best hated villian imo...
Killer within episode is the saddest episode imo an my Top 5 episode..
@Jada80 Interesting ranking. 2nd half of season 6 is boring? Ok, I guess everyone can have their own opinion. I personally think it's anything but boring. I feel 6.06 and 6.07 are pretty boring in the 1st half. 6.09 No Way Out is my favorite episode, and I also like Not Tomorrow Yet and The Same Boat. The finale is underrated. It's great until we find out it's going to be a cliffhanger. I also really like 3.04 Killer Within! It was so good and sad. The Governor was a great villain!
@j-devtv After season 6 1st half it got too slow only part was interesting was Rick an Michonne making love an the ending. The Saviors just felt like another dragged out Rick group vs another human war again. But Negon character was so different it made it interesting.
When Maggie an Carol got kidnapped it felt more like a re run than cliffhanger from when Maggie was kidnapped by Governor. For some reason when Carol gets kidnapped I never felt suspense vibes. Just like when she was kidnapped in S5. I never got I'm scared for Carol vibes not once when she was kidnapped twice. Them shooting up Negon crew in season 6 was ok but it wasn't the same impact as Rick shooting up in Prison against Governor or Terminus imo. I just thought it was ok

Cody is saying EXACTLY the reasons why I dipped out of this show after the first episode of season 7. I COMPLETELY understand what they were trying to do with season 7, the slow build up and tearing down Rick's character and all that but they could have done that a bit more in an interesting way to say the least

I could not disagree more, 7 and 8 where they finally introduced Negan has some of my favorite lines and scenes in the entire show.
I thought season 8 had the most action of all the seasons. Sure there was a war between two groups but Ricks was utilizing a horde of zombies to take out Negan’s. That’s awesome

Clearly none of you have read the comic. 7-8 were the most watered down version of All Out War they could have possibly adapted. If you think the show had amazing action, lines, and writing, trust me, you've only seen the bare minimum.
I’m actually looking forwards to the new Spin offs. My biggest problem with the later seasons is that they stay in the same place for 6 seasons (Alexandria). They show worked Much better when they’re constantly moving like they were 1-5. Another question they’re answering is what happened in the rest of the world. I’ve been dying to see what it was like in Europe & other big cities.

Whenever you were talking about the walkers having new abilities like climbing and grabbing stuff in season one when the og Atlanta group was hiding in the shop the zombies picked up rocks and smashed the door. And also in season one when Glenn and Rick was climbing up ladders after he got the tank a zombie started to climb up. Not to sound like a huge nerd It just caught my eye I'm sorry.

I dropped during season 7 and I just picked back up. I am in the middle of season 9 and so far I think it might be one of or my favorite season to date. I find this season intense and actually kind of creepy for the first time ever. Now season 7 & 8 oh my god, I don't think I can survive another binge of this show if that means watching those seasons.
I understand your frustration and totally get it and I can't really defend it but I absolutely loved the show from start to finish...I loved every season and every arc....BUT I will not be following all the spin offs and already don't watch the other shows either...the main show is done and I'm done....but I absolutely LOVED the show....even though we don't agree on that, I love your videos and keep up the great work

The Negan backstory episode was very likely the best episode in the entire show. And yet, the very worst episode in the entire show is also to be found in season 10: the episode with Daryl reconnecting with his lover at the cabin.

I'm so happy that you agree with me regarding Daryl and Carol! It's the unpopular opinion among my coworkers and friends. When I looked up their age difference, there's only three years in between them. They make it seem like Carol is so much older than Daryl within the TV show. I don't like how Daryl is portrayed like an incel except for season 11 when they finally gave him a love interest. He acted like a total virgin around Beth.

I'm glad to see this review because I just binged season 11 recently to finish the show off just because I made it this far. Good season rankings and I think the padding is, by far, the biggest problem with the show. The show is kind of a victim of its own early success. The high ratings it used to get lead directly to the seasons being stretched out over too many episodes, which caused a decline in quality, which then caused a decline in ratings. If the show had been less successful and had fewer seasons limited to, say, 10 episodes each, the show would've been a lot better and maybe even considered an all-time great show. Instead, it was run into the ground, like other shows that stayed around too long (it's a lot like what happened to "The X-Files").

20:34 Bang on. Scott "Gimmick" Gimple ran the show from Seasons 4 through 8, and he always blackmailed viewers into coming back for more with dorky little plot twists.
I hate how they handled the commonwealth soldiers in the show rather than the books. They soldiers aren’t all bad and theyre humanized a lot. And most of them are tired of getting pushed around and not getting payed enough. In the show they’re just cannon fodder.
Yeah the producers wanted to milk the content hence why they ruined the last season about commonwealth. Especially since the commonwealth was the most civilized community for Ricks group to continue living in. Perhaps maybe his group was the enemy afterall this...
Finally someone agrees Season 2 is one of the best

I think it makes more sense to rank the different storylines than the seasons since most of the storylines are told over two seasons.

I stuck with the show even in the bad times. I thought it was well worth it. Better ending then most shows even if it's not really the end. My ranking from worst the best is : 8, 7, 10, 11, 5, 9, 6, 2, 1, 3, 4
I've always felt like u can't really end the walking dead. We've gotten so attached to these characters like Rick and Daryl and Maggie that were gonna see how their story goes until they die.
Double edge sword is really the word. The comic I believe was originally pitched as the zombie story that never ends. Comic ended a few years ago the TV show was more successful in that front as it will never end
Finally someone agrees with me about season 2! I personally have it at my favorite and never understood the hate for the season.
In other words, the show would be nigh perfect if they just paced the seasons better and had better stopping points.

10 , despite a few bad eps, is almost just as good as 9.
11 while not the best of the recent ones (the Reaper storyline was generally useless)

1-4 were my favorite seasons but after that it seemed to get less about walkers and more about the rivalry communities
I just love Ricks character ark through 7 and 8, what they did with him was so awesome, but yeah I can understand why you didn’t like it, but everything they did with Rick, Negan, and Daryl was amazing. But again I understand your problems with it. Love your videos.

I honestly enjoy a lot of things about every season, but I completely agree that the second half of the series could have and should have been shorter. Maybe 3 seasons felt like they deserved 16 episodes, probably 3, 5, and 9. I think they should've all been 12-14 episodes. Season 2 was the perfect length. The lowest points of the series I think weren't even "that" bad. The story was still great. I genuinely emjoy every story arc which is rare for me. It's just badly paced in places with a few too many filler episodes when they would've benefited from following multiple stories in a given episode. I think the first 5-6 seasons are some of my favorite seasons of TV. Seasons 7-8 had a great story that was very poorly structured. Combine plotlines to shorten the seasons and get rid of the fluff, and don't kill Coral (although i think it worked in context, i just hate it). I agree it could've been a seasom, a season and a half tops. I agree that it gets better again. It certainly wasn't perfect, but I was genuinely engaged, and I didn't feel like it was wasting time. I just wish they didn't drag every story out after the first two seasons, because maybe we could've ended the show sooner and kept Andrew Lincoln for the entirety of the show as they dang well should have (not that I don't blame him). In spite of everything, whatever their many mistakes, this is still one of my favorite shows. If each season was shorter, if they kept the story punchy and tight, and if they maybe stuck a bit closer to the comics for Andrea, Carl and Rick (mostly having shorter seasons to keep him around), I don't think this show would've ever declined in popularity as much as it did.
