Finally! Thank you for posting some dyno numbers and video to TH-cam. Helps people out to know some real world numbers. Please make a follow up video when you get some performance parts! Interested to see the difference an ecu and exhaust might do to the dyno numbers. Yoshimura makes some pretty good claims.
Would love to see what changes an ecu flash from 550 performance does, from a reputable company like yourself! Also, top speed is really dependent on wind. Haha.
@@durango008 Nah, that doesn’t do anything with timing. These motors will never make a lot of power, but they like aggressive timing. Which means having the stock ECU tuned. Plus less wiring, and one less thing to fail. Piggyback controllers need to stay in the 90s
Good stuff here!! I guess the innerwebz is correct; A stock 300L is everything that a full stage 1 kit does for a 250L. I've had several 250L's and they're great "kitted out". I only have a few hours on the 300L but would love to see a full stage 1 kit ( AND SUSPENSION ) on the 300L. These bikes are rippers!!!!
The difference between dyno top speed and real top speed is interesting! Ain't no way you can get to 107 mph on real riding situation with the wind and stuff but it's understandable. Thanks for the nice content I'm considering buying a crf300l !
An important factor to know would have been the weight of person on the bike during the dyno test and was he fully sitting on the bike or not? I did notice the bike compressed down but while he was shifting the other foot was on the ground. Just thought it was an important factor
At 50 I'm looking into getting one of these as a daily work and back bike, my trusty V-Strom is doing fine but it hates traffic riding, the girl is a bit bulky and heavy, I want to keep her for weekend long highway cruising, the Honda seems and looks like a full-size bike.
If you want this bike to be a daily through traffic consider that the exhaust routes really close to your right leg along with the downstram air from the radiator. Summer months may be a little uncomfortable. I would suggest doing a longer test ride before committing. Other than that this bike is super fun. A perfect blend of size and output.
I've done 10,000's km on standard 300la. Yes you can feel the warmth but it was never bad enough not to enjoy the ride! City riding she is ok if you don't care about getting cleaned up by an idiot they give licences to (big issue in Australia)
@@TSTindustries Hey, I just found out RC Hill is the Official HONDA DEMO Ride site for Daytona Bike Week 2022 . Doubt they will have dual sports to ride, but looking forward to checking it out. If the 2022 CRF300L comes with upgraded suspension i will be at RC Hill a.s.a.p. with a deposit to order one.
For the intake mod. There’s a dude you 3D printed a pre-filter air box. Idk the performance increase, but I’d rather have a pre-filter for sandy conditions instead of a DNA filter.
I own one for about 8 months now (I'm from Belgium), and I can tell you this bike does not go to 105MPH on the road just like he tells. 136km/h = 84.5 MPH is the fastest i've gone with it, flat road no wind.

Tyre choice and pressure too right?… I think they claim 27 (at flywheel) so sounds about right at wheel. Top speed in real life probably 85/90 in real world. Brutal no clutch up changes!!
We just turned the bike last week after installing a Yosh exhaust. We started playing around with ideas for what to do on the intake side for a product to develop. My question to you is, would you pay 75% of what an exhaust costs for an intake part that produces the same or more amount of performance than an exhaust? People are accustomed to paying 600-1000 dollars for an exhaust but many will say 450 is too much for an intake
Because the previous gens of the crf brought in a lot more interest and customers than the klx. After we get through a lot of this stuff on the crf we will likely move on to the klx anyway
At this moment it is waiting in line to be strapped back to the dyno so we can make a flash program and start selling that. We have our basic flash done with a quick tune we did just to start testing. Now we will go in there with a fine tooth comb and get it better so we can have a product for you guys out there.
