There's a TH-cam version of echoes live with Rick on keyboard from 2006 I think. I've heard it was Rick Wright's last live performance of it. But it's like 25 minutes long. And the light show is so awesome as well. By far my favorite version of echoes.
I love how this song has endured. When I was a kid it was so obscure... Floyd had become unfashionable and you couldn't even find Meddle in the shops. Now it has the following it deserves.
Wow I'm blown away the only one that plays it better is Gilmore. Your fucking awesome. I have listened to this on LSD and they Pink Floyd are so fucking good the best can't find the words to describe how they blow away all other bands
Are you saying a person can't like a groove in two songs, pick one and that's it? There is so much music, like part 8 of Shine on You Crazy Diamond, at least I think it's that part, has one helluva groove as well, plus there are Zeppelin songs and many other bands that have great grooves. I think I like the versatility of music and all of it that there is to enjoy, including the groove to this song
Tone perfect, the fuzz part perfect but the groovy riff is where you should improve. The French Pompéi documentary from " Adrian " is good for that as David shows how he is doing it.
Very beautiful sound! Feels like authentic. What pedals did you use? And one more question… Did you ever think about short lessons? For example for this part.
thanks! i've used a compressor and a big muff and used the tone knob around 12 i don't know if there's any demand for lessons, i actually use youtube for archive of what i do :)
@@mustyguitar yes, there are a lot of lessons how to play this or that song. But i didn’t see any kind of short format. I think it would be useful. Even for you… Because once you can forget something and after that - hmmm, where is my archive? )
If I could give one point of advice from one guitarist to another. The strum after the slide make it a little more power chord sounding instead of the single note sound. It adds a lot more depth to the whole riff.
Sad that no one is giving props to the sick ass bassline that drives this entire section of the song
Yeah Roger waters played so funky in this part
Lets not gloss over Nick's drumming. That kick is so groovy.
so nice! I always loved this part of the song
ditto that.....mine too
Who doesn’t? :)
same bro
What song is this
Always pictured trudging through the mud of life to this part.
Man that’s sick
Live in Pompeii is a go to for me when I'm drunk. Love watching this one and the epic end sequence from Saucerful of Secrets.
Well done! You've captured that Gilmour sound!
Never can decide which is better, echoes or shine on you crazy diamond, then I hear this groove. I instantly melt.
I love Echoes so much
I could spend all day listening to this without getting tired🤙🏻✌🏻🤘🏻
Fuckin Spot on Tone
Amen
Yes it is....... even the dead start to bob their heads when the breakdown hits and this groove takes over!!!
You've done a fantastic job on this buddy.. fantastic
Hypnotizing, my favorite song of all time
Great tone man! One of my favourite pieces of music
Very well played!!! I Love that Song vor over 30 years and i learned this Part in five minutes with your Video!!! Thanks for that, you are great!!!!
Yes it is. Gilmour is the whammy king!!
I can imagine feeling it with the amps cranked all the way to 11!
Great job man but you have to do it shirtless and outside for the complete affect 😂
Best part of the song, IMO
Echoes, IMHO, is a precursor to the great albums still to come!
The genius of Dave Gilmour ❤😊

I remember hearing echoes for the first time amazing album
Midnight movies at the drive-in with a bunch of baked friends was my first time seeing the Pompeii movie. Life changed that night.....
You really nailed the tone there good job dude sounds great.
IT'S DEVILISHLY GROOVY 😈💜
Damn, you nailed it!!
Indeed!!! If this don’t get your head nodding nothing will
In a word, yes !
I watched Live at Pompeii just yesterday. The entire band is in peak form during this section.
Echoes, impresionante
I love how this song has endured. When I was a kid it was so obscure... Floyd had become unfashionable and you couldn't even find Meddle in the shops. Now it has the following it deserves.
It really sounds like neck pick up but it’s not. Incredible
Always thought I was the only one to appreciate that part. Can't help but to move.😊
Pretty frickin nice
Perfect intoxication

echoes is the best thing ever yay
Hands Down, this is my absolute favorite of all time PF album. You pulled off this tastiest section of Echoes flawlessly. Great job man.
Why I knew it's going to be this part of echoes xD
Yes love the funky part best
I love it....👌👌👌
Brilliantly done. Surely the best part of the song.
Lots of trips to this album, this song was always the best part
That is a Masterpiece!
Amazing!! Simple incredible he did that back then
Pompeii....... Nice
Absolute banger, nailed the sound great job
Yes sir..the bas and drums are sick
I think Gilmore would even be impressed.
David Gilmour. Brilliant.
beautiful man!!!!!!!!!!!!
You made it look easy! 😮
Good jam, my own personal thing is I’d add a big 1000 watt thunking bass between each guitar line❗️
That's THE BEST Groove!
It really is
Very nicely done!
That was a 9 n half outta ten. Nice one .
i don't know, i like the groove at the end of Another Brick in the Wall, but, your killin' it!

@@Ledzepnut Shine on Ypu Crazy Diamond is my favorite song of Floyd's. And Wish You Were Here is my favorite album.
Èffin good. Almost as Dave!
Unreal 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Mint!!
Perfection
I like the fact your focus is on your guitar not on your face, not like other TH-camrs
nice! nailed it
Nothing is better
Sounds awesome.
Curious to know if that is the active pickups you have there?
Yes love that part. But the best sort is when he slides up the neck then straight into the bend
Best song
Thats the best part, tbh there are many few people who play and talk about this song
Yes
Nice very good🤘
Great job
Sweet tone. Spot on. What are you using to get that tone?
great !
Fuck yea man! You sound awesome!
YES
wow oh my god i want to kiss this man
Yes, it is.
Great stuff 😊
I like to think that this song will become elevator music in space or sum shit😭
I was thinking the same thing as this title
Excelente
Maybe get a little more violent with the wammy, otherwise yea you got it man! Wooo! ( hey bulldog homage)
The echoes is the best their song
🤯
Have to agree, hahaha
Yes!
Can you spill what gear they use in the first Ten minute?
Classic
Best floyd groove, beside shine on.. part2
Qué función cumple lo que tenes en la mano derecha?
Can you please give a tutorial on how to play these? You have already posted the Gdansk Version but I prefer the Pompeii like in here :)
Yesss
Pink Floyd............
Badarse 😮🎉
Agree

It's twenty-three-and-a-half minutes long and should be listened to in full.
How did you phase out the groove parts to the loud parts so seamlessly ? and also did you turn on and off the big muff manually for the loud parts ?
I use a big muff and a delay when I go into solo, it's on the tip of my feet.

Yeah it is...
