I’m aware of that trick but I’m having a heck of a time getting the main jet to come out after unscrewing the part that you’re mentioning.

      I mean the emulsion tube

@@stoolie10 Some emulsion tubes don’t come out. They are pressed in from the factory. What engine is the carburetor off of?

Thanks for the tip it worked on mine but my jet didn’t have any threads but was just seized in. I also used a bit of tin foil to protect plastic parts.👍

Omg man this really worked. The grinding down of the flat blade also really helped a lot because I kinda strolled the brass a little so by doing these 2 things it worked perfectly. I had to hold the heat on for like a lil over 2 minutes

I’m a small lawn mower repair person, why is it some carburetor it’s impossible removing the screw before the main jet… I have a special flathead that fits inside perfectly but for some carburetor you can’t turn to loosen the screw …

@@thewiseguy7100 The gasoline gets old and basically turns into something like varnish or tar. That’s why it helps to get it really hot with a heat gun.

@@wcjcnc Got it, I was super frustrated yesterday that my custom screwdriver coudnt get it out, started questioning my screwdriver 🪛 but you’re 1000% right. I saw old gooey gasoline inside the carb because the first owner of the lawnmower never did any maintenance on it

Gas turns into shellac. That's what you're cleaning out of your carbs.

I will try this one tomorrow. Hope it works cause I don't know if I can replace this carb.

Get it hot. It’ll screw right out

Anyone tried this on the emulsion tube above it? My net came out just by unscrewing but the tube is STUCK even after a 20 mins 50°C sonic bag in water some vinegar and washing liquid. Thanks. Also looking for a wooden jaw tiny toolmakers ' clamp to force it down.

Some emulation tubes are pressed in and not meant to be removed. Be sure yours isn’t like that. If yours is suppose to come out heat will help and you can use a 90 degree pick to push it out from inside the venturi. Also, either your needle or the seat is viton rubber. Make sure you remove the float and needle before applying heat to carb. If the seat is rubber the heat may ruin it and you may have to replace it.

Thanks for reply! I've seen plenty of vids on exactly this car, and for them it just plops down! I'll try what you say with a heat gun and 90° pick but I've tried levering it down with Allan key -- without heat or success. Thanks again for your time.
