Thanks Dave, Torx method worked!, and you saved me from having to delay my project. (4 carb rebuild on a 140hp Corsa) I used a regular right hand twist drill and started the drill before contacting the jet to avoid catching and tightening it. Only comment to everyone trying this method is to make sure and look at the jet/torx bit when extracting. If there is ANY sign of slippage you need to stop and either drill a bit more and/or set the torx again with the hammer.

Just this moment you saved me a trip to the machine shop with the torx bit set. And to think I’ve got an easy out set coming in the mail from amazon

You saved my ass with the torx bit trick! It worked like a charm! Only took me two years to look for this video 🤣

All I can say is thank you for making this video! I used a T10 torx with a 3/32 drill bit and pop the jet out first try. I was about to spend money on a set of Easyouts (which I will buy someday), but I saw your video and thought, why not give it a try.

Just used the torx method on the main jet on my old rochester qjet. Saved me a lot of hassle. Thanks mate.

Thanks big bro for recording this! I stripped the damn jet out on my twin cylinder carbatrator...I'm gonna try the torx bit tomorrow...that's a good looking Barred Rock pullet at the end there. Thanks kindly bud!

Gonna try the torx method on an old lawnmower carb. I have 2 sets of jets for spares but haven't been able to get the main jet out yet. Thanks for the idea!!

PB Blaster (let soak), drill out, tap in either an EZ Out, or torx bit, and take out the stripped (head of jet stripped) jet and buy and insert a new one. Apply heat also as an option with propane torch. Good video.

Just tried the torx method on an ancient eddie i had sitting around. One came out with the t15, the other with the t20. Worked like a charm.

I'm going to apply your advice tomorrow after it soaks overnight in 50-50 ATF & Lacquer Thinner mixture.
