    Could it get a "dead pixel" like on tv's? Not sure how this e ink stuff works, but wow, so awesome.

    • @Charlesb88
      @Charlesb88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      E-ink works quit differently the LCD pixels do so stuck pixels aren’t an issue. The cause of a stick pixel in an LCD screen is generally because a particular pixel is either stuck always on or always off. With E-ink, the way it’s pixels work is that you have pixels that can be flipped from light to dark and back when a charge is applied and they remain that way even when power is turned off. This means an E-Ink display keeps its image even after power is turned off to the screen. Since it only applies power when updating the image on screen this allows devices like the Amazon Kindle E-Ink ebook reader to be able to operate on full charge for much longer then say a typical LCD tablet like the iPad. By adding color filters you can now have color E-Ink displays too. So with a E-Ini display, if a connection to a particular pixel was damaged then you couldn’t flip the pixel and would seem stuck but that doesn’t happen in the same and degree as it does with LCD displays. You’d likely have suffer physical damage to the screen to see this occur whereas LCD screens San be prone to this right from the factory due to inherent manufacturer imperfections. I would w Rory to much about this with E-Ink tech but we will have to see if they actually put this into production, assuming it’s made legal (where it currently isn’t).

    • @MrWisdom79
      @MrWisdom79 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's gimmicky now but if the technology advances it will be considered genius. If they can incorporate the whole color spectrum it would save manufactures an enormous amount of time money and labor in the manufacturing process. As someone who sold cars for a brief stint one of, if not the most common, objection you had to overcome was not having the color a customer wanted on a specific vehicle on the lot. I could imagine that if you could change the color to any you preferred that would help stop customers from walking off a lot and dramatically increase sales.
