The only mancera fragrance I have owned is roses vanille and I really like it. It has gained me a lot of compliments and for me at least is a very uplifting fragrance. An American youtuber I follow has commented about instant crush "if I met the person who impersonated this fragrance I would be married and pregnant". It made me wonder.
I liked Roses vanille, if I had the choice of that one or Intense cafe, I'd choose roses vanille cos it felt much prettier. I know they are compared but roses vanille seemed cleaner. Haha! that is a hilarious description 🤣 I think with instant crush I am just not keen on that BR540 vibe full stop. I know a lot of people say that instant crush is not that similar but having smelt about 5 other "dupes" I found it to have that vibe. I think if you love that, but want ginger too it could be a good one. I can see why people would enjoy it.
I love velvet Vanilla, roses vanille, juicy flowers, roses Greedy and holidays is okay. I have a decant of the chocolate rose flanker and it's good as well.
Wow, you have tried a lot Tera! I liked velvet vanilla and roses vanille, but yeah I have stuff that overlaps, they are very fun fragrances. I've not heard of juicy flowers! I love the names 😂
Hi Claire, I do like an earth shattering fragrance, but they do not have to be. I enjoy a good everyday fragrance too. I like Tuberose in fragrances. Choco violet, hmmm/ Nutella? It sounds like something I'd not blind buy. I would try it but not sure I'd like it. I do think I'd like a coffee note. I appreciate the in-depth review. The ranking is very helpful!
Some of these are really strange ones! Definitely ones to sample because Mancera have a very synthetic and distinctive DNA and that is not for everyone for sure! Thanks for watching Mona. ❤️
Thank you so much Christine, that is such a lovely thing to say! Thank you for always supporting me, it means a great deal. I see you in the comments a lot and that is just so amazing! Thank you! ❤️
Wow black to black. Your favourite I thought musky garden would be the first. Mine is velvet vanilla. Tuberose of course it,would be! Now I know I don't need Madonna truth or dare on this great review!!
Thank you Gabi! I actually think I was just missing my dad at the point I filmed this, that Black to Black really smells a lot like he does when he's been fixing something. It's a very childhood evoking smell for me and like nothing else I'd ever tried. Musky Garden is certainly the easier wear and the more likeable fragrance. If I were going to buy one, I think I'd get that one...
Hi Claire! happy birthday!!! 🌹 i DO remember when you reviewed the others and didn't love them. I love the Mancera/Montale scents that I've smelled. But funnily enough, I don't love musk, and that's kind of like what they're all based on. But I WANT to love it! Those decants are so gorgeous!!! Choco Violet is calling my name!! Second-hand Coco Pops = YES YES YES! And Roses Vanille is coming home to me very, very soon. It smells almost EXACTLY like my beloved Intense Café (as you mention), and I don't care. I want BOTH! Loved hearing your take on these!
Thank you! I can definitely see that you would have your I can't quit you thing with these 😅 The decants vials are both pretty and huge! I will definitely reuse them. Choco violet is the friendliest and the most fun. the overlaying musk is probably the only annoyance with it, but I guess that also stops it smell completely childish, but I think I would like it more if it were more childish 😂 I like roses vanille, I prefer it to intense café, I do think that intense café is a more interesting fragrance but roses vanille feels more universally likeable. It is very wearable! Thank you for watching Julija ❤️
I own Holidays which is great for summer with its coconut vibe. I own Rose Gourmand by Zara which is really close to Roses Vanille and I have Wild Python on my wishlist. Veronica Says brought this one to my attention a while back. Mostly tuberose , white florals and peach I believe. I think I’m done trying to emulate others with their very gourmand taste and beast mode scents. I love girly florals and it’s ok! 😆 Nice review Claire! 👍🏻
I would love to try Holidays cos I've heard so much about that one. Wild python is the one in the beautiful print bottle I think! I agree, I am just not someone who loves gourmand and strength all the time, it just doesn't fit my lifestyle. I love delicate and transitioning fragrances mostly and I am not an oversprayer. I agree that there is massive bias on TH-cam towards strong and gourmand perfumes. If you look at my original fragrances choices before TH-cam, it was delicate rose and peony, I think that is always pretty telling. My most worn are the ones I wear to work, which are nearly always watery fresh florals. Thanks for watching Julie 🥰
Hi Paloma, how are you? I can see that. I found all of these to be quite strong and they felt like they would be difficult to wear outside of winter. Now is the season for Mancera I think, but yes they are mostly very sweet and sugary and it doesn't always feel appropriate to smell like a snack... 😂
Great video! It was good to hear your thoughts on these. I’ve tried a few of them and really enjoy the style of the Mancera fragrances. Black to Black sounds very unique, I love how the diesel smell reminds you of your childhood ❤️
It's very strong! I couldn't believe that what I could smell was the fragrance 😂 I actually don't think I would buy any of these, none were loves, but they were very interesting to try and it was lovely of Ange to send them.
I’m listening! I have none from this house! I’ve been interested in Choco violet now I’m definitely going to sample! they all seem to have a character to them and I love that! This was great Claire! ☺️😉✨
Wow glad you enjoyed the perfumes I’m really surprised at your rankings though I didn’t expect Black to Black to be number one! Very interesting video 💝💝💝
Hi Claire 👋 I only have one mancera and that’s holidays. Kinda want to get a sample of musky garden now🤔 wow diesel? That’s super unique! I like leather 😍 Roses Vanille is my sisters signature scent, it didn’t smell right on me but I love how it smells on her. This was so helpful! I ordered some samples from here and most of these weren’t included. Thank you Claire for this helpful video! ✨
Aah I can totally see someone loving roses vanille enough for a signature. I would love to try holidays! I've heard so much about it! I look forward to hearing about your samples and which you like. Thanks so much for watching 😘
Yes I know exactly how you feel, these are not cheap blind buys so good to sample first if you can because I don't think these are for everyone. Thank you for watching 😘
Well it's certainly very wearable. I wore Intense Cafe yesterday, I always think of Roses Vanille as its more grown up, better behaved sister. 😂 Thanks for watching 🥰
"Second hand coco pops" got me chuckling majorly hahaha! 😀amusing and terrifying in equal proportions. I've only tried a couple of Mancera and Montale frags and I'm not too sure they're for me - they're houses I've kind of not bothered with ever since. I think given they seem to have SO MANY options too it's hard to know where to begin. Really enjoyed your review though!
Hello! Gosh the Coco pops was so striking! It's not as chocolatey as I imagined that it might be. Choco violet is a strange one! 🙃 I know what you mean, they are hard to find in stores to try (if you can't find an Ange to send you pretty decants) and the choice is completely bamboozling. They are also at a price point that is above my (low 🙊) blind buy limit. I listen to people's videos and think, mmm, that sounds nice and really, the thought doesn't go further than that because I can't normally try them. The first round of Mancera fragrances that I tried were not for me at all, these were much better, but the similarities with other things and their versatility means that I am not sure that I want any of these. I will see when the decants are fully used. I've only tried one Montale so I can't judge with those, which did you try Emma? Thank you for watching! 🥰
I’ve been getting right into Mancera recently I’ve got roses greedy.musky garden.wild python.roses vanilla.coco vanilla.I’ve got a few others on my radar like wild cherry.amber fever.feminity and chocco violette xx
Ooh that's a lot! Do you have a favourite? I would love to try those too! I really enjoyed musky garden and choco violet is worth trying for sure, I really enjoyed it. 🥰
The atomisers are really lovely aren't they? I think Mancera are definitely ones to sample. If you love sugary, sweet and strong, these are probably winners!
@@dr.claire.perfume Yes and they (the atomizers) match the bottles or vibe of the perfumes. and YES, I'm lately on a sugar-gourmand-fruity rush 🤤 I will try to smell some of them
I would add Musky Garden and Velvet Vanille. Instant Crush is not a good representation of BR 540. It has a synthetic, screechy citrus opening that never goes away 😂😂😂 I had to send mine right back to where I purchased it. Great review of these Claire! ❤️😍
I was not taken with instant crush at all. I can totally understand why you would return it. Even though I don't seem to enjoy any of the "dupes", I am curious to try BR540 😂
So funny because Instant Crush is one of my favorites. Lol. (I don’t have BR 540, so I have no idea what it smells like). I think I have roughly 6-7 Montale and about 5 Mancera. I too, find Velvet Vanille really strong/cloying, but I will usually spray that one lightly and then layer with another scent from my designer collection. I also enjoy Roses Vanilla by itself. I recently received Montale Sol Di Capri and I do not care for it at all! I watched many reviews and they basically all said it has that “summer holiday at the beach, suntan lotion vibe/smell (which I can be about when in the right mood), but ugh, I do not like that one at all. Def. not what I was expecting. Does anyone have Montale Day Dreams by any chance? If so, do you recommend? I’m looking for one (or a few) good summer (very hot weather) fragrances. Any recs would be appreciated. Thanks 😊
If found them all to last really well, instant crush and black to black were lasting for more than 12 hours. The others were shorter lived but no problems, I could smell all of them after 6-8 hours. I think you would enjoy choco violet from what I know of your taste. 💜
Hey Claire! Thanks for bringing these fragrances forward. Apart from a decant of Aoud Mint, I have not tried any other Mancera 😅 TBH I don't think that synthetic DNA running through Mancera/Montale is my vibe ❤️ Still open to try them though if I get a chance.
I don't personally think that Instant Crush smells very much like BKR 540. I love musky fragrances, so that musky one sounds good. 😊 Roses Vanille is way too sweet for me. I have it. It's nice but not my favorite.
That's interesting, I've heard many people say that instant crush is only distantly similar to BR540. Do you prefer that intense café to roses vanille? Considering the two, I think I prefer roses vanille but I think intense café is probably the more interesting fragrance.
Great video Claire and as you might remember I've got Black to Black and yes it's a monster and not to be taken for granted 😂 I find it medicinal like antiseptic lotions ect
It’s really quite fascinating to smell some of these unusual perfumes 😜 I’m sure I would probably pass on all of them LOL My nose is just so boring 🤷♀️ Great review Hugs 💗
They are very interesting to try. I am not sure how well they fit with my life though. It felt a bit weird wearing a lab coat and instant crush. I enjoyed most of these though, but yeah I felt they were most only to be worn in very cold weather because the majority were strong, sweet and musky. 🥰
i watched this video a cpl days ago, somehow i forgot to comment, so here i am and this is me ♫ watching again lol,.. i been forgetting a lot of things lately!.. i wore Mancera *Saharian Wind* today, i love its scent after 2 hrs from spraying it.. absolutely magical! 1- u described Instant Crush perfectly! 2- Never heard of Musky Garden, im so interested in trying it asap as im a big fan of peach, even though a lot of ppl around me dont really like peach in their frags.. lol 3- im no fan of Velvet Vanilla, its not bad but just not my cup of tea and find it the less inspired and less interesting... 4- Never tried Mancera Choco Violet, but id love to it is so my cup of tea lol 5- Mancera Roses Vanille is one of my biggest disappointments when it comes to Mancera frags, may be cause i watched so many reviews about it and i expected it a lot from it, its nota bad frag but i didnt find in it what i expected...alongside Roses Greedy * i recommend Mancera Gold Prestigium and Mancera Saharian Wind to u if u wanan try them, they r one of my favs, u might not like Saharian wind right away, so ull have to give it some time as it is that "type" of frags... Fab Review ♥
Thank you, that's really helpful to hear your point of view. I feel like people are way too positive about Mancera generally but also intense café from montale and roses vanille too. They just feel a bit underwhelming but in a very strong and slightly cloying way 😅 I do think roses vanille is more likeable than intense café but probably not as interesting. I totally get you not loving velvet vanilla, the tuberose is strong and not very natural smelling. I felt like I had two similar fragrances in my collection already too. I will look out for gold prestigium and saharian winds. Thank you for making suggestions. Mancera have so many fragrances and I find the choice overwhelming! 🥰
I have a few with saffron where I don't enjoy that part, sometimes it can smell rubbery and I find that off putting (like in opulent musk). If it's nice, it can add to leather accords or can even be a bit smokey, earthy or warm. It's a bit of an iffy note, I totally understand where you are coming from. 👍
I do not understand why one would like to smell like any food item. I know everyone go ga ga over Gourmand fragrance but that perticular word itself repel me from getting the fragrance. But Gourmand fragrances are in at preaent so there are less fresh floral or aqua fragrances to choose from.
It has less sillage than some of the potent Mancera fragrances but overall in the grand scheme of other perfumes in general is not without sillage. I think the scent profile is one that is just generally less noticeable, musk is more of a quiet and sensuous note to me... Musky Garden is a good one if you don't enjoy how a lot of Mancera fragrances are incredibly sugary. Thanks for watching and your question! ❤️
Mancera and Montale all have that similar DNA. I’ve smelled so many and instantly recognize them and find similar perfumes across the two houses. I don’t hate it, I feel it’s a signature of perfumers/houses and that’s ok. I have a few favorites in each.
It's distinctive for sure. They definitely have their own style and that is a good thing. It is better to be different than the same as other brands and blend in but yes not for everyone for sure! Thanks for watching ❤️
Mancera is difficult to get in my country (Norway) so i only tried Coco vanille, wich i swapt with someone. That one smells like coconut smelling hair product so i spray it straight after the shower and it just inhance (?) the smell of my products. Just wanted i really appreachiate your content, Im binching you right now🤣
Hello, lovely to hear from you! Thank you so much for saying that. That completely drives me to make more videos. I love chatting with people! Oh Coco vanille sounds like a great one for the summer. I also have a coconut scented hair product so I know exactly what you mean! Mancera are difficult to get to sample here too. They are sold in one department store as far as I know and my nearest one is about 100km away. People sending me decants is the only way I would get to try them without crazily expensive blind buying! 😂 I think these are nice ones, but definitely not for everyone and it entirely depends on what you already own as to whether it is worth buying these. Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it! ❤️
I mean yes they smell sugary sweet and to me they are over the top. Instant crush, velvet vanilla, roses vanille and choco violet especially are very sweet! They smell big and brash. These were also mainly gourmand so they were larger than life to me. They made me think of cartoons and fluorescence. 😂
@@dr.claire.perfume I'm really curious about them now. and I'm starting to think that all niche perfumes are loud and not for the shy or if you want to bend in the crowd. Cartoons and fluorescence 😹 as in the opposite of sophistication and "put together"?
@@silverliningfragrance1434 not necessarily, just not for the shrinking violet. You definitely need to be fine with other people noticing you wearing these! 🥰
I've had my eye on Choco Violet 👀 Now I'm not so sure 🤣 Though I imagine the day could very well come that I'd want to smell like second hand coco puffs 🙃
Honestly it's nice and it's interesting. I enjoyed it. I found it odd how I could either smell the cocoa musk and the warm fuzzy violet or the sweet candy violet, they didn't seem to hang together, I got wafts of the first and could only smell the sweet violet close up. If you like cocoa and violet, I don't think you can go wrong 😉
I might be wrong, but from my understanding, gasoline is petrol, not diesel, diesel is darker smelling and less solventy. Honestly I didn't love these Mancera fragrances enough to purchase any, I guess the weren't for me. Black to black was something at the time I'd not smelt in fragrance before, it's a black spiced leather oud but a huge one! This is a very very strong fragrance! I enjoyed it because it made me think of my dad but I still have my sample and rarely wear it. Thanks for watching ❤️

Haha thank you that is so sweet! 🙈 what a perfumista mantra! 😂 ❤️ Can't believe I am 38! 😱
@@dr.claire.perfume 1984 It's the best formulation, they don't make them like this anymore🧡
@@silverliningfragrance1434 😂 👍
Awesome reviews Claire!!!💞💞💞I’ve been so curious about Choco Violet and it definitely sounds odd but like I might need it 😂
I really enjoyed that one, it was definitely one of the more interesting ones! 🥰
Hey Claire! Thanks for bringing these fragrances forward. Apart from a decant of Aoud Mint, I have not tried any other Mancera 😅 TBH I don't think that synthetic DNA running through Mancera/Montale is my vibe ❤️ Still open to try them though if I get a chance.
Not sure it's mine either 😂 I would like to try some more Montale though, especially honey aoud! ❤️
Yes I can see that! It's a deep dark one to be used sparingly 😉 thanks for watching Scott! 😊
Ooo never try musky garden
I liked that one, but it definitely wasn't something that I hadn't smelt before. 🥰
It’s really quite fascinating to smell some of these unusual perfumes 😜 I’m sure I would probably pass on all of them LOL
My nose is just so boring 🤷♀️
Great review
Hugs 💗
2- Never heard of Musky Garden, im so interested in trying it asap as im a big fan of peach, even though a lot of ppl around me dont really like peach in their frags.. lol
3- im no fan of Velvet Vanilla, its not bad but just not my cup of tea and find it the less inspired and less interesting...
4- Never tried Mancera Choco Violet, but id love to it is so my cup of tea lol
5- Mancera Roses Vanille is one of my biggest disappointments when it comes to Mancera frags, may be cause i watched so many reviews about it and i expected it a lot from it, its nota bad frag but i didnt find in it what i expected...alongside Roses Greedy
* i recommend Mancera Gold Prestigium and Mancera Saharian Wind to u if u wanan try them, they r one of my favs, u might not like Saharian wind right away, so ull have to give it some time as it is that "type" of frags...
I just realized I don’t like Saffron in perfume ,if it stands out 🤷♀️
I have a few with saffron where I don't enjoy that part, sometimes it can smell rubbery and I find that off putting (like in opulent musk).
This is true! It's certainly a big trend right now. I have to say I'm a little sick of the current trend of vanillas 😂
Great review!💕💕
Thanks ❤️
Hello Claire!!! Ready 🥰🥰🥰
Hello 🥰 lovely to see you! ❤️
Hi, what about sillage on musky garden? I have heard it's not so noticeable. What's your experience on that?
Also which ones are your favourites?
You said in the begining that if you like natural scents than Mancera is not for you, did you mean that their scents smell synthetic?
Nice Perfume. Sharing. Sending my support.
Thanks so much! ❤️
It smells exactly the same as Montale’s Chocolate Greedy but with a very subtle violet/iris note.
I love Mancera fragrances🤩
Aah which ones do you enjoy? 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I only have Instant Crush but I’ve sniffed others and loved them.
@@TheSavvySpecialist these ones were all likes for me. 👍
Good morning Clare 🥰
Hello Frances! Happy birthday to your son, I think it's soon! 😘
@@dr.claire.perfume yes it’s this coming Monday !! Family dinner
@@HappinessSparkles Lovely! ❤️
Oh no, diesel! 😂😂 Must be the combo of Oud and Leather.
I actually strangely loved that smell. 😂 It's interesting but yeah perhaps not for every situation 😂
Hey Claire 👋🏾
Hello 😍
Second hand coco puffs. 🥴😬😳
Honestly I liked that one, I clearly didn't show that enough 😂
❤️
Hey Abena! 🥰
Came here for Musky Garden?
it's a weird name isn't it? 🤭
@@dr.claire.perfume I want to try it!! Describe it to me. Please.
Back to Black: It smells like diesel, it smells… BLACK, basically.
Plot Twist: Ariana Grande immediately buys the fragrance.
Good for Ariana 😱 😂 thanks for watching 🙂
Diesel=gasoline 🤢
❤
Thank you! Happy new year! 🥰
I know that smell because I make those cupcakes 🧁 lol
Me too! 🥰 Glacé icing and a jelly diamond! 😉
@@dr.claire.perfume I can’t get those jelly diamonds over here so I put a glazed cherry on top ,or Nora likes to decorate hers with rainbow sprinkles
@@HappinessSparkles Probably full of E numbers! Aah Nora has the right idea! Rainbow sprinkles are a winner 👌
@@dr.claire.perfume actually it’s funny you should say that because I go to a British section in our local drug store and a lot of the stuff is like to get doesn’t pass the E numbers inspections 🤷♀️I just buy them when I’m over and stuff my suitcase LOL
Midget gems is one of them but sometimes they do slip through and I see them from time to time
@@HappinessSparkles 😂 Love that! Contraband sweets! 😂 My brother smuggles lemsip back to the US.
So before you start to rank them I gonna guess that black to black or instant crush is you number 1 and roses Vanille your least favorite
I'm gonna give myself 1 and a half pount
haha! I didn't love any of these really. I liked most, of these 6, but I wouldn't buy any of the 9 Mancera I've tried so far... I am sorry to be so unpredictable 🤷♀️ 😂
