That Armani line is loved ❤️ bleu Lazuli and this one in particular! I had a sample of Gris Dior from a friend that smelt wildly different to the bottle in store, the sample was miles rosier, but I was never sure if it was the batch 🤷‍♀️ I guess this is the unanswerable question 😂 it's great that your bottle now matches your sample because it can be truly disappointing when a purchase just doesn't match up. Enjoy it! 🥰

Thank you! ❤️ I don't really know for sure, but different brands use different materials and different manufacturers (e.g. Givaudan, Firmenich, Robertet) so will have different patented ingredients available also. They also have different budgets. If you've seen my video titled 5 fragrance brands I love, 5 I don't understand, for me it's usually something to do with ingredients I think... Especially ambrox derivatives. I call them all ambroxan but of course there are loads of different types of that kind of aromachemical and some are pleasant for me and some really aren't! Yes sure! Initially I was respraying after about three hours, but with wearing it over about 6 weeks now, it's pretty good and I can still smell it after work, so 8-9 hours, but it's not a massive projector. It's close to skin after an hour or so. I spray it on my neck and under my hair so I get wafts when I move. If you want a massively projecting fragrance for hours, then you will need to respray! 🥰

Oh YT seems to randomly filter some comments, seemingly for no reason, it's annoying! 🤷‍♀️ It's not often that I like something but it doesn't excite me and Mono Cachemire was definitely that unfortunately. I've not tried anything from Liis! I don't think I've even heard of them! I will look them up. 🥰

Oh yes! I don't know if you know Rose and Jones Lizzie, but she sampled one of those releases, she didn't get the sample direct from Arquiste though. I hope they restock soon! 🥰

@ Ohh Chester, it’s so so beautiful! ♥️ I visited the UK first time in 2013 & again in 2014. Such a magical place, it’s so very green! Very different to our hot, dry country. The UK, being so much older than Australia, has some amazing history. Dearly love to live over there but I have a severely disabled adult son so we have to live here. (my hubby emigrated here in 2015) Still awaiting delivery of Violet Ida, it was another one that arrived yesterday….so still waiting (im)patiently. ☺️

Yes! Definitely one to sample. It's an odd sweet but bitter sappy green vanilla mix! 🥰

The Miller Harris is stunning the opening with the spices! It's really lovely! But I know you dislike BR540 so it's definitely one to sample. 🥰

You will like Epona I think! I hope you can sniff things again soon! I want to hear what you think! Comète was pretty for me, I'd not say no to a bottle but it's socks on isn't it? The MH was fine until the drydown then it was a big old no from me. I don't think I like Orcanox if that's what that smell was 🤷‍♀️ I need to sniff it in something else to be sure. L'orchestre was actually good, I don't think you'll love it but I don't think you will hate it either. Olfactive O need more hype. Haha Aican was not me 🤣 yep you and your extreme sensitivities 🤣 OWB are so artful and interesting! I want to smell all of them 🤣 and you'd hate the neroli! 😂 Yeah I agree, what's the likelihood with someone who's smelt 100s of fragrances that they are going to like more than one in ten random samples enough to think you know what, if I got a bottle, I'd not say no. That's the kind of level isn't it if you aren't an influencer? If you are, then you love all ten and already got gifted 5 of them 😂

I only tried this one so far from the new ones and from the old ones, I've tried Raving Rose and Soie Malaquais. I've got another to try though. This one actually had that sweet creamy vanilla greeness that turns my stomach a little but it was ok cos it wasn't beast mode. I can imagine DvN fragrances being sweet in general, they are trying to be massive appealing but niche too! 🥰

Yeah I never ever got the hype for Lamar, it was one of the first niche fragrances I ever tried back in 2021 and I just felt like I didn't enjoy it at all. I should revisit my sample now I have more experience and see if I get the vibe with it that I get from Aican. 🥰

Yes Forgotten highway has a lot of texture to it! And is sweet. I get the kinda grandpa vibe in a very pleasant way ☺️ comforting and reassuring. Comète shocked me with its sweetness. I agree with you, the name doesn't fit and it is likely Chanel targeting a younger audience. 🥰

Yes the DvN bottles are beautiful 🤩 and for sure, I guess EA Blue Grass was all about the outdoors and horses in a way, although perhaps not quite as literal with the fragrance. Lovely though! 😊

Oh thank you! Yes Soie Malaquais is a lovely one, I've not tried the other three, but I do have samples of some of the others. I think Dries Van Noten have a relatively good interesting range of fragrances and wow the bottles are stunning 😂 I would love a soie Malaquais bottle just for my living room 😂

Well did you see how fast Lizzie made her way through a 125ml bottle, it's insane! Lizzie likes softer fragrances but I think that tells you everything... It did last ages on me though! I have a sample of another few from Dries Van Noten but I've not got to them as yet. I think they have a nice range that is relatively interesting from what I've tried. 🥰

@@dr.claire.perfume Wow, she went through 125 mls?! That's awesome. I'm still tempted to get it because when you have a full bottle you can always spray with abandon. 😄

@dcjimr1 I'm not sure! Lizzie bought a bottle (new?) then decluttered it, then rebought one secondhand, so it might not have been full but she certainly used a good chunk in not very long. She said she uses it as a base for other fragrances, spraying that first before she decides what to wear pretty much every day.

@@dr.claire.perfume I love that, even more reason to get a bottle. 😜 I sampled a lot of the Les Exclusifs and really there is not a bad one amongst the bunch.

@@dcjimr1 I agree, from what I've tried, mainly when I've been in Newcastle with Jon as they aren't in store where I am, I've enjoyed all of them.

I definitely enjoyed the old formulation more, but I realise it's unlikely to be possible to keep something the same over ten years with regulatory changes and price pressures. It's a shame that it's been reformulated.

Soufflot is really lovely in the opening with the autumnal soft sweet spices. Really gorgeous 🥰

It's weird but here cherry blossom is not really used as a typical fragrance. The only version I've smelt is from the Body Shop. I have cherry trees lining the road I live on, but they don't smell at all! It must be only particular species or maybe a fantasy note? 🥰

Yep, I agree! It's just too strong for me. I enjoy smelling it on others though! And I enjoy the scent profile. 🥰

It lasts a good long time on me too for sure! I did find it quieter on me though, but projection and longevity are somewhat dependent upon where and how you spray, so that might explain that. It's really a lovely fragrance 🥰

Haha, did you try it yet? What did you think? I liked it much more than I ever thought I might! It was a lovely surprise! I don't think I have samples for anywhere near all of the line so I will need to find some more before making a video, but yes that would be interesting, I agree! 🥰

Same! POAL is a wow, but just too much for me. The two scents go in different directions in the drydown but it's worth trying the Guerlain. It does evolve quite a bit but quite late on, I tried it three times and each time it surprised me 😅

I also normally absolutely love Guerlain! Sadly I found Rose Amira pleasant but underwhelming. Comète is lovely! I can see why you'd want it! It's a nice mix of classic Chanel and a more modern style, it's happy feeling! 🥰
