I was wondering the same thing about those two, I did get an opportunity to smell chocolate greedy and I thought it was too food like to wear it as a Perfume but I’m glad to know that the Choco Violette it’s more perfume like and feminine. Thank you for the comparison 🥰

Thats what i thought of choclte greedy..it smells more like a snacknor a biscuit fresh frome the oven....i declutter montale so i guess ibhad to buy me a choco violet then😍
I have both too and while they are very close, I love choco violette more, I get a nice balance of violets and cacao powder 💜

I have both. Chocolate Greedy is very chocolate and orangey in the opening but remained powdery and didn't last as long on my skin. Choco Violette is light floral, hazelnut and chocolate. I like the Choco Violette more and it lasts on my skin til the next day. It's addictive.
Choco Violette also reminds me of Orchidee Vanille. I love them both

I like both, once someone said i smell so good ( chocolate greedy ) he couldn’t even focus around me because all he wanted to do was to catch the smell of my perfume, several others enjoy my presence when i use chocolate greedy, i actually use the mancera one today and i got compliments as well everywhere i was going, i have had it for a year but never opened it because i have like 7 montale chocolate greedy and i was waiting to finish them all ( i use alot ) but after your video i went ahead and unpacked mancera and yes smell so good

Great review on both! I was thinking of purchasing chocolate greedy but it was always priced too much or sold out. I also love mancera and their beautiful bottles, I have a few mancera Perfumes and only one montale (vanille absolute) I am definitely interested in the choco violette

To my nose, the only diffidence you will notice is the opening!
Orange chocolate cookie = Chocolate Greedy!
Hot Chocolate plus Flowers touch = Choco Violete!

Chocolate Greedy smells so good on paper, I wished it worked with my body chemistry….
I adore Chocolate Greedy as a scent and I do own a bottle but I rarely wear it. I definitely have to be able to commit to smelling of brownie brittle all day, which rarely I'm in the mood for. But man, that vanilla-ish /red velvet-like drydown is exquisite. I need my gourmands to be multi-faceted with other notes like woods, florals, etc otherwise I get bored or burnt out on them. Never tried Chco- Violette but I am on a major violet kick and it sounds like a fun one. I just don't need more brownie brittle in my life. I shall see. Your video has me tempted to buy a bottle, I will say. 😍
I like the little wafts I get from chocolate greedy. I think if I spayed just on my wrist or something and sniffed it I’d really dislike it. But that little bit I catch on the air and I feel like, oh that smells really nice and soft vanillic; that’s the part I like!:)
@@thesimplechiclife I totally agree! It projects so nicely. Once the chocolate pulls back it truly is one of the best gourmand, true dessert vanillas. Sometimes it catches me off guard a little because it's SUCH a chocolate fragrance up front, and yet at the same time it's such a vanillic fragrance (red velvet in the middle lol) as it projects & dries down. That is my favorite part, too 😉. Your vid reminded me that I hadn't worn it in a while, so I wore it to bed last night and I woke up still smelling that glorious vanilla base. My pillows smelled like I had just sprayed them, but it was just from me laying on them. What a performer! Montale's vanilla is hands down my favorite thing about the house. They do vanilla so very well. Thank you for the inspiration to pull out this dreamy fragrance again. 💕

I have only tried choco violet and I find it unsettling. I blind bought it at first sniff, I got so angry I couldn’t appreciate all the other ones from that haul.
I tried it again and I don’t dislike it anymore. I find it weird and I really can’t have a clear opinion about it, I guess it’s because I don’t get the chocolate as clearly.
I love the opening of chocolate greedy but unfortunately it dries down very bad and gives me a headache so I can’t buy a full bottle hopefully I will love the choco violet

Montales choco greedy is a true chocolate gourmand and one of my favs. However Manceras choco violette to me is not a gourmand at all . There is absolutely no chocolate smell to me at all . I just get all hazelnut then goes to a very powdery floral scent. I hate manceras choco violette .

I am interested in Mancera’s Choco Violette, but since Mancera is a sister company to Móntale, I am wondering if it has a synthetic smell like many of the Móntale fragrances do. Does anyone know?

I want to know your opinion if choco violette by mancera is really feminine, because i want to wear perfumes and feel that is smells beautiful and feminine. I know you like this too. I see that men are very exited and in their reviews they consider him more masculine.
it's feminine yes but very gourmand - it's not like a classical smell. So it's totally up to you! I don't think it's masculine AT ALL - if a man wore this I would think he was baking all morning and spilled sweet food on himself. And then walked through a violet garden.
I’m assuming because they are from the same overall company they cost the same?
