Stevie O'Shaughnessy got an amazing range with some 7th-layer-of-hell lows and surprisingly crisp, almost screechy witchy highs! Really hope to hear your professional breakdown of them. “The Son of Perdition” or “Harrowing, His Calls To The Void”, really showcases the whole spectrum \o/ Always a pleasure watching!

Always wondered what is happening in vocals say at 7:52 or say for other examples, similar screams from Oli in the deathcore medley or M. Shadows with the Critical Acclaim opener from the longbeach concert, where the voice just cracks midscream seemingly out of nowhere. Never could figure out if this is just the vocalist reaching their natural vocal break in register change for a moment during the scream and it's totally fine, or if it's a moment of voice being a bit tired/momentary loss of support.

I've been a metal vocalist for over a decade and I got to say I appreciate what you're doing on your channel. If you're a young vocalist take notes on what this guy is saying!! It'll help you become a better vocalist and also help you save your vocal chords bc alot of young people will blow their vocal chords before they even hit their 20's which is sad but so true.

I honestly enjoy Briton more live than on records personally, really dope vocalist. The vocalist of Before I Turn does a lot of the articulation styles you talked about in this video. Hopefully one day I'll see them featured on the channel. Love the videos.

They have a newer live video of their song “Low” which features clean vocals as well. Should check that one out because these guys have improved their vocals an unbelievable amount in their somewhat short career so far

Omg i love Wage War, i seen them last year before covid, the headlining band was Polaris, do check them out if you want to see another amazing frontman. HYPERMANIA - Polaris (short and sweet heavy track) LANDMINE - Polaris (more of a dynamic track with cleans/screams from both vocalists) but i recommend the song Hypermania this man has soooo much energy and you MUST experience it, when u think hes at 100% he goes above and beyond

I believe what he’s doing is what some people refer to as a power fry scream. It derives from an actual yell, or belt as you said. At least how I do it it’s very easy to move from projected singing notes to screams.

He lets his voice crack but controls it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
Saw these guys live. So different front their albums. The same metalcore influence you get on the album is swapped for deathcore. Really interesting and frankly so much better live.

You should react to Low by Wage War live, it's pretty awesome, because there's all different things happening especially vocal wise. With having Harsh vocals and Clean vocals
While doing new songs, old bangers with great vocal techniques can we now do Live Versions as well. Not finished but this is interesting. It shows a vocalist out of the studio and any errors, strain or how it actually sounds. So yeah can we mix some live songs in this channel, as a viewer as myself can consume? I believe it would help since it’s not people being like “I can’t mimic it” etc. etc. but then you get to see the reality of how it sounds. Not as clean and more gnarly.
I've noticed his range has actually shrunk nowadays. He tends to stick solely with his mids and has mostly ditched the gutturals like in this video. He's definitely more consistent now tho.
What I find interesting about all these bands, is the intensive mic cupping live. Who cares if it sounds like screaming in a tin can, it looks so cool, am I right?
