      leilla gauvin
      Sorry Leilla Gauvin, I couldn’t find them either, but it seems you just repeat rows 2 and 3. I wrote them down. As the tutorial went on.
      So you just chain 26, then dc in 3rd chain from hook. Then just dc in each st. To end of row. Ch 1 and turn.
      Row 2, dc in 1st st. X Then Front Post Double Crochet ( fpdc) in next st. Then, dc in next 2 sets. Then fpdc in next st. X
      You continue to end, X to X to last st, then dc in last st. Ch 1 and turn
      Row3
      dc in last ch 1, dc in next st, X fpdc in next 2 sts, dc in next st. X Repeat from X to X to end of row,
      Row 4
      Repeat row 2
      Row 5, repeat row 3, and so on. If you are still stuck, I’m sure you can find more instructions on google.
      Good luck,

    • @BeeBee123ist
      @BeeBee123ist 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doris Smith, you should do a gauge swatch according to the multiples of three plus how many rows it takes you to get your square and your measure will give you an idea how many stitches and rows for the size you want. Do not include the two side stitches for framing in the measurement as that will skew your calculation. It's been a great many years since I crocheted but the principles remain the same

    I'm kind of a advanced beginner you could say so I know all basic stitches and many patterns but am just learning the hows and whys of stitch patterns, I love your tutorial! I just have one question... why only a chain 1 for moving up a row doing double crochets? I thought it was always a ch 2 or 3 for dc? Obviously I am wrong I was just wondering why you don't need to vor this stitch? And if creating a pattern how do you know how many chs will be required if there is no set number of chs for each base stitch? Hopefully you understand my question. Pls DO NOT think I’m trying to imply you did it wrong! I'd have to be a idiot to try to tell someone as obviously advance as you that I know enough about crochet to correct you! I'm just wondering for educational info why this was done. I work better if I understand the hows and whys about what I'm doing. Thank you for sharing your skill with us!

    • @vulcanscorpio
      @vulcanscorpio 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are not wrong, it almost always is ch 1 if your new row will be all singles, ch2 for half doubles, 3 for doubles, 4 for triples so on and so forth. She may have another reason, like curling or bunching because of the nature of the pattern. Or, she just made a mistake. Though I suspect it has to do with keeping the edges looking neat and sharp. You will find that many people "invent" their own tricks for keeping their edges tight, or knits from curling or whatever the issue may be. What it comes down to is your level of expertise and the ultimate look you want. I also just realized, she put the first stitch in the first available whole....hence no initial chain 3, which would count as the first stitch...and thereby you would skip that first "whole" and use the next. Otherwise you'd be adding and extra stitch growing your work - which of course you don't want.

    Multiples of three plus two for framing? It would seem so. Every work has to be framed. In row two the posts are being displaced so that's why you will have two regular double crochets on both ends.
    Happy crocheting everyone 😀

    This is an amazing stitch! But, I am having trouble keep my sides straight. I do exactly what you do. My rows come out straight, just like yours. But somehow my tension becomes discombobulated & then there I go again having to frog my work & start over.😱😱😱🤯🤬

      Are you a beginner? It takes practice with tension, hang in there. There are videos on proper tension if you do a search:

    Helpful tutorial, sweet stitch but whooo boy, it eats the yarn up. Buy plenty.

      Double crochet for every stitch will do it! Lol! I started this with a really bulky yarn and you still use a lot, but it goes quickly! Pretty with the defined pattern!

      @CrochetJewel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I know i said it wrong on this one and wrote it in the description while ago, that it is multiples of 3 + 2, so 24 plus 2 and I had it written on the screen but they don’t allow that anymore

    I'm confused . . Multiples of 3 . . And you crochet 26 . . I'm having trouble with your math

      I made mistake and corrected it in my description and if you look at the photo it says multiple 3 + 2
