i love being able to say i was there with my then friend Craig.......at one ;point i thought i was floating like an inch off the ground when they did space odyssey and when the choir did Amazing Grace...people were hugging and it just felt so great
What a show!!! I was walking around with a gallon of mushroom tea outside I had heavy trades and cash for an extra ticket a guy saw me recognize me from the Hershey show earlier that year and asked me if I still had this big pipe that he had left in my car. I did. I gave it back to him and he gave me a floor seat straight up kickdown! What a blast! Had such a good time that night. Wish Phish still played like this! 🤔 If they played any of the third set just like they played tonight now in 2022, the kids that got into fish in the past decade wouldn't know what to do. The energy they had back then is just ridiculous and the fact that we could all match it is hysterical. It shows how good the psychedelics really wear back then and earlier😂😂😂 Side note. 😂😂❤💛💚 hearing all those balloons popping during down...
I was recently saying something very similar to my brother who is 12 years younger than I am. Back when Melt was still fun, the Spectrum show where I first heard ginseng Sullivan. 96 was a special year and if kids his age got a setlist like either one of those 96 Spectrum shows they'd $hit their pants are live with it rather than miss a single second
I was at those Spectrum shows. Amazing time. Was at this NYE show too. I was so lucky to have been to over 30 shows from 96 through 99. And the crowds, the awesomest group of tens of thousands of complete strangers that treated everyone as a long lost friend.
I was there with my friend Michelle. Best concert I've ever seen. I remember during the Antelope I was thinking "I can't dance any harder", but then they got even faster so I had to.
i passed on this show to go see gregg allman band at the embasy night club in orlando. i did philly then did greyhound south as it was so cold. allmans nye show was so cool, somewhat jazzy. his daughter was ther and ridiculously hot in a black leather jumpsiut thing and when she passed , everybodys jaw was hanging open. la ot of fun and serious parties in the hotel acrosss the highway. gregg smoked a joint outside the bus w like 4 other people, and talked about tunes, life and even some advice.
This was the only Phish NYE show I've attended. During and afterwards, except for the arena being new, beautiful, and sounding nice, the show seemed pretty average compared to the amazing shows we were going to in '96. In hindsight, it's a killer show. We were just going to so many shows that fall that we weren't able to see that everything from '94 - 98 was of legendary status.
Seriously, my windshield wiper fluid froze to my windshield while driving in. And we couldn't get on a train at Park Street to get to the show so we ran across Government Center and it was just brutal. Then we went to the duncan donuts across from the Fleet center to get some bagels to help us consume our mushrooms, but all they had were salt bagels, which made it even more brutal. But we managed to scarf them down and get to our seats before anything got weird. And they played all the 90's classics. Its was so good.

@@scottlevine5030 I barely remember the show. I’m going to give it a listen. That was Bohemian Rhapsody encore?
@@gmcsrbosavl6964 they played Bohemian Rhapsody. Dont think it was the encore, but I could be wrong. I think they ended with Julius
I was there. Disappointed for NYE really expected more
First show
Nice! IW@TS. Is this from the master? I think I have a 1st Gen but this looks a little better. Any chance of a pre-TH-cam file download?
This is crazy lol
