I think I binged watch your vids!!! 😂 I was looking for a good resource about USMLE step 1 considering I am no US med student here. Most foreign grads are told to review for 6 months to a year to have a good score and most of them are working other jobs too while preparing. I wanted to see how US medical students prepare with the whole 6 weeks study blocks.🙃
I appreciate the support on the channel 😊 These resources will help you a lot and if you keep up with Anki I know you will do excellent on your USMLE exams :) keep at it!!
Awesome first video of the year Happy New Year! How do you deal with the pressure of the approaching exam day? Would love to get tips/advice 🙏 hope you all the best and thank you for the video 😃
Happy New Year to you as well! Looking forward to a great one 🙌 I’m happy you enjoyed the video 🙂 Test day pressure is definitely real and it’s different for everyone, but I found what works best is knowing that you can only do your best and if you gave it your best effort then you should be proud regardless of the outcome! Staying relaxed and focusing on what you can control instead of being anxious about things that are out of your control also helps :)
A little confused and wanted some clarification. Are you saying that the anki cards you use during your first years, you still should be continuously reviewing them until Step 1?
Always happy to clarify! Yes, once you unlock an Anki card you would ideally continue reviewing that card all the way until you take your STEP 1 exam. It sounds daunting, but honestly the interval begins to space more widely as you learn the card better and better so you only end up seeing some of those cards twice a year (every 6 months) toward the end (depending on your maximum interval set as well on Anki) Hope that is more clear! Best of luck on your studies!!
@@AustinNguyenMD thank you for the clarification! Is this a study strategy you recommend using for those that will be taking the exam P/F? Will this also be a strategy that you use for Step 2?
No problem at all! I would still suggest this study strategy even with P/F because using Anki is so efficient for studying and I think this strategy will help make passing step 1 a lot easier! For Step 2, there are also Anki decks but I honestly haven’t fully decided/figured out what I’ll do to approach it yet 😂 still enjoying my post-step 1 freedom for now!
Thanks for the video! Great comprehensive resource for any students feeling overwhelmed
My pleasure bro! Appreciate the support as always 🙌 Let’s crush this exam! 💯
