I Am planning on doing a more in-depth review of this lens, planning on getting either the cinema version of the R5 “r5c” or c70 for video! Stay tuned!
@@yyoo_golforita4442 I have a variable ND 82mm i found in adorama but I am planing on getting a separate stop kit to see if it helps with vignettes Might review them as well in my follow up, stay tuned 😃
I agree every time I se some lights in the scenery and I have it on my cam its like “lets create some art” 😃 cheers sub for a video shooting 8k raw video broll of my hometown qith this lens!
I would buy this lens, because it looks amazing. However, I have the 28-70mm f2 and the 70-200 f2.8. The separation I get between my subject and the landscape is already beyond amazing. I would still love to try this lens on a couple shoots though
i have the r5 with zoom lens rf28-70mm f/2, rf70-200mm f/2.8 and the prime lens rf85mm f/1.2, by far the 85mm is my favorite portrait lens, at f/1.2, it create the sharpest image and shallow deep of field that my other two rf zoom lens can not re-create.
@@prskyviews picture quality is not as perfect as you get from 85/1.2, but it is amazingly sharp at 1.2. 50 mm is probably my favorite portrait focal distance.

@@RWAquariumPages I would recommend non DS since you can soften the images bokeh in post if you’d like and have more control on overall sharpness. Oh and save some extra bucks for a quality 82mm nd filter as well 🙏
@@prskyviews I want to cry. Thanks for the quick and detailed response. I find the non ds bokeh balls to be bigger and the ds to be smaller but smoother from all the images I've seen so far. I've ordered the non ds on Friday and should arrive Wed. But was hesitating if I should cancel for the ds. Great tips from a working pro with images I admire. Thanks for this
@@RWAquariumPages At the moment I am battling against covid but when I get better I will make a more detailed updated revoew of the lens with some tips thanks for watching 🙏
Please my friend don’t advise to anyone EF 85mm f1.2 it is terrible lens impossible to shoot any moving subjects I replace it with EF 85mm f1.4 IS and this lens is the best lens I ever owned my no 1 lens it is always in my bag you can even shoot sports with it at f1.4 easily now with my R5 it is even more incredible and it will not make you bankrupt 😂
@@prskyviews yes I was so happy with that switch the best decision ever and the difference between 1.2 and 1.4 is almost zero and you will have all the shots in focus with 1.4 😉😂
This lens is by far the best piece of photography gear I have ever owned.
Most definitely it is!
It has a unique look that does not require heavy editing and you will create biceps from wielding it hehe cheers!
Yeees 100% agree with you I bought R6 and canon 85 1.2 last month So happy 😁

Couldn’t agree more. It’s a great lens despite its size and weight. Thanks for the video, Stefano
Thats just showing off with the shutter wide open 🤣
thank you for the video.. i just ordered mine for my R6 I cant wait!
It is a beautiful lens, and the images are so unique! Congrats!
This lens is fantastic! The 50 1.2L is also fantastic. The 85 has that blue goo that reduces CA better, but both are simply superb.
The EF 35mm f1.4 L II also has BSRO.

I pitted the 28-70 f2 against this one in my newest video check it out! Consider subscribing for more RF and R system weekly reviews!
Do you normally shoot f 2.0 with the 28-70mm?

The 80D was my first camera and I own the R5 & RF85 1.2 also! 😅
Man we down the same path hehe cheers!
@@prskyviews Right! Haha! I love this part of the path.. The R5 paired with the 85 1.2 is the BEST portrait combo in my opinion. I just LOVE it… 😩
What about video? Indoor low light video with this lens?
Indoor and outdoor night time and lowlight with this lens looks soooo gorgeous!
I also love my RF 50/1.2 :)
I am very sure that will be one of my next lenses!

I just picked this up. Wow and wow. Did I say wow?
Yup it is indeed my family’s jewel 💎 hehe cheers!
I would get to the point quicker. There is a lot of filler here.
Thanks for the suggestion! I am making these on one take to practice my English fluidity! I am getting better but yup thanks for the advice! 😃
I agree. Viewers patience is short so they will quickly click away and not watch the rest of the video. :)
Canon RF 85mm f1.2 is my new 70-200mm haha with better bokeh 🧚🏻♀️
Its like shooting into another dimension and the shaprness of what is in focus is sooo dreamy!
Love the 85mm
Oh yes! The magic lens! TY for commenting!
Can you screw in filters on this lens without any problems?
Yup no problems at all! And it looks bad ass!
I love the skin, where did u get it from? I need it lol
Made this one myself, but alphagvard sells them online 😊
Me encantaría ver videos POV de tu usándolo en público a ver como salen las fotos 🙂

I made this one myself, just ordered the 3M pvc vynil took measurements and cut them in the cricut machine. But alphagvard also makes them pre done 😃

How about the sigma 105mm 1.4?
