As you think about your wife and kids, you get the inclination to look up, only to see your squad mates up and rushing. You take out your earbuds to hear a voice screaming over a megaphone. It's hard to understand, but that doesn't matter, you know exactly what's going on. You think to yourself, "Hell yeah! Some action!" 30 minutes later, and you can see the massive complex that is black mesa from your helicopter. You do, however have a small bit of knowledge regarding the situation, so you and your fellow grunts assume it has to do with the anomalous on-goings here. As the area buzzes with the action of soldiers preparing barriers and supplies, you are ordered inside the facility. You make your way up to where they tell you you're stationed. Not 10 minutes after arriving, you hear a sudden, brash noise. First, the screaming of 2 of your best mates as they are pulverized and stepped on. Then an explosion. You turn around to see a theoretical physicist wielding a .357 magnum flying at you, and your commander rushing away. Before you can so much as let out a shriek, you feel a sharp pain followed by a blinding white light. You sit there in utter shock regarding what just happened and where you are.
