Black Mesa is the game that went throught all my college lifetime, I'm so glad to participate this run and made a great ending for the part of my youth
The vent at interlopter chapter gives you 'noclip' state to prevent stuck, and everytime you save and load, the game extend few time of the state, I save and load 520+ times there to make sure we have enough time to get the 'noclip' state to the next map
"Morning Gor- Aaaaand he's gone through the ceiling... What even are the laws of physics?" "Don't you know? Gordon got their PHD in Theoretical Physics, and their thesis was 'I do what I want, the laws of physics can theoretically suck it.'"
I did watch previous Half-Life runs so I don't know why I was so surprised when the actual run started in the test chamber. Yet, it still managed to blow my mind. GJ team.
seeing this made me want to give up on speedrunning black mesa because i just can't compete with how quick and complex this really is. i am so slow at this game when speedrunning that i feel like i will never reach this level of speedrunning. this run is amazing, props to the runners!!! :)
You're not running against the WR, you're running against your PB. Do it for fun, even though you know you'll probably never reach the top. ~An HL2 & Hollow Knight runner which never even posted his attempts
@@anglegaming6 ah thanks, it’s just the fact that if I want to at least get a time that I’m happy with then I need to learn some of these really hard tricks. I’m only speedrunning earth levels and even then last time I tried took me around 2 hours. (I’m not so great at speedrunning BM…) On the other hand I do also speedrun P2:SM and my latest attempt I did (not posted because I didn’t record it and I wanna get better at that before trying to submit anything again and I want to make sure that spplice doesn’t accidentally get me another vscript strike (in fact why doesn’t spplice clean temp vscript files???)) was around 57 minutes and last time I checked the wr time was 27 or so. I do kind of do it for fun already but I just want to be not terrible at running BM and get something similar to this. Even almost under an hour would be okay for me.
it's incredibly important to understand this is a segmented run by several runners, they're making a save and all playing a section to see who can do it the fastest, then saving again and repeating the process as a segmented run they get to try each part over and over again until the fastest time is reached, they can do outrageously difficult and unreliable strats because they have infinite attempts and lose no time on the run by retrying when they fail do not compare your own personal runs to this, this one took *3.5 years* to complete in a way all the runners were satisfied with
@@illican yeah, it is segmented but in reality that means this game can be completed around that time in about a few minutes more. It’s crazy to see. I get the whole don’t compare point but if I want to get good then I need to learn some of these tricks that are in normal speedruns

basically the way the sucky air vents work in interloper temporarily gives you noclip and you can abuse this and get noclip for the rest of the game by saving and loading an absurd amount of times to extend the time in which you get noclip

No wonder G-Man wanted to hire this guy
In HL Speedrun, in final scene Freeman get out from the train cabin demonstrating G-man that He is an interdimensional super being too!
(had watched to the end) Yep, here it is too, ahah.
Soulless 100 when?
Even after shooting his butt?

The music in this game goes so hard. Cool run too.
Oh hey Kovic :)
This run changed my life (but fr tho it was an honor to be a part of this legendary run)
Question, i can understand the chapter change but how did Gordon recover 100 HP and 30 Energy when loading maps?

30 minutes of Gordon testing his theoretical physics research by phasing though walls

This run clipped my void
"annihilated" is the correct word for this cinematic masterpiece
This run changed my chromosome count
+1 chromosomes
Thats how pederushkas achieve their extrachromosomity!

Now you have the right amount of chromosomes
Impressive. Very nice.
Let's see the in-bounds run.
I like the addition of knee skates they added to this remaster! Now, Gordon can travel with style!

Omg, this segmented run SOO good!
Especially from 10:45 to 13:10!
The music is perfectly superimposed, and these perfect movements are simply divine!
I'm happy you appreciate the music mix. Timing of the tracks was something I paid a lot of attention to.

epic work , good job team
I'm still in awe of how INCREDIBLE this game looks.
Wait a minute. If you’re Black Mesa and he’s Done Quick, then who’s flying the plane??
