Nice setup. Very similar to my conversion on a Scion xD, even down to the angled cuts of the front support and unfriendliness of the front seats for tall people. I do use removable panels vs hinged. The drawer platform is a nice touch. If I'm out on a campground, I'll setup a hatch tent to get a bug screen and shading at the back hatch. And of course the same window mesh screens.
Removing both rear seats saves 67lbs. The wooden bedframe is about 20-30lbs. The Honda Fit can support 800-850lbs. A 200lb driver and a 200lb passenger still gives you 400lbs to work with.
I love this set up Iam doing my Honda fir 2013 for this summer and i am getting ideas Do you have any plans? I will like to see the bottom of the platform
Great video! Who installed your sunroof and for what cost? In theory, the sunroof was first available on the 2015 EX model. The Fit in this video looks like the base model (steel wheels with plastic wheel covers).
Dude this is so smart!
Measurements/plans would be saleable....this will fit interior from 2009 to 2013.
I’d buy the measurement plan
This is the smartest setup I’ve seen for a Fit. I’m going to try this buildout, will let you know how it goes!
So, how it's been going? I'm buying my 2012 Honda Jazz (Fit) next week and I'm thinking of building this, seems like a super idea for trips
Love this. I would have trouble with family if I removed the back seats out. I will still keep this build in mind
thats a sick design! specially the cooking area. (lift top slide back)
Best Fit setup I've seen...thanks!
Honda Fit’s are amazing. I miss mine
what happened to it ?

Great build it's perfect for a car detailer on a budget😉👍🏽
Congratulations! I'm starting my Honda Fit Home in Brazil. My project is a little different, when ok, I'm show. Sorry my poor english.
Quando terminar posta pra nós
Please make a TH-cam video about your build...
Super cool build man. I'm thinking about picking up a 2013 fit with super low miles... This would be perfect lol. Same color too!
Uma estrutura limpa, fácil de montar e resistente, legal o projeto, busquei umas ideias para o meu honda fit que estou montando.
this perfect
Cool. Simple and do able.
Nice job
great rig, plans please!
do you have any plans that you could share with us?
What is the weight in the car when all is done. I'm aalways afraid of overloading. People, luggage..etc..nice build on this.

Sweet rig. What kind of truck are you getting ?

Nice

My 2011 Honda Jazz (= Fit) has it, il was built in from the start !
Are you still utilizing this?
How tall are you?
I've debated the slide out tray for cooking but being 6'5", I'm afraid it will be at my knees.
#SafeTravels fellow Boulderer
He's 5'8"
Looks like the backseats were removed?
Yes. Super easy. 3-4 bolts if I remember correctly. All praise Honda for the simplicity!
Sunroof? How much was that?
Are the back seats removed?
yes
How high ?
Plans available?
I'm sure I've missed you saying this, but what is the extended length of the frame you've built?
He said he's 5'8" and he appeared to have room to lay down comfortably. '
siiiickkkkkkk
Unless you need to carry a lot of gear, I would not build this elevated. On top of that, a box on the roof racks could handle luggage.
Ummmming is annoying.
